OH WELL, CONGRATULATIONS MARVEL

>Marvel 36.89% dollar share and a 39.53% unit share
>DC 26.94% dollar share and a 31.15% unit share
Does it hurt being so wrong?

Not as much as having to resort to desperate marketing tactics. I mean, more #1's?

>X-Men, Spider-Man and Deadpool #1s, one event and Star Wars comics
>the usual overshipping, variants and all that bullshit
>DC is still only 8% down selling only regular issues and one event
Disney won't tolerate this for much longer

Yeah, giving free mags really helps bloat those numbers up.

if it ain't broke don't fix it
>only 8%
>only
Didio, Lee and Johns would each give their left nuts to have an 8% advantage

>it ain't broke
Pffffhahahahaha

Iron fist is fucked. And it's great too. Fuuuuuuuuckkkk Fucking marvel

>if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Its like saying to a person on life support that he's healthy because he's strapped to a bunch of machines and a colostomy bag.

when do we get sale numbers and not just a ranking?

Tomorrow

The individual sales usually come on Monday morning

I am so glad Shade the Changing girl at least have good trade sales! I know the monthly are selling like crap, but this actually gives me hope the title can reach more issue on the future

I wonder how much marlel rigged the chart

>good trade sales
no it doesn't

Serious question !! What is it with Marvel and new 1st every month ?? don't get me wrong I'm marvel fan but really dudes what's going on ? and didn't marvel said they will take a break from events for a while !! and know we got legacy!

>idw is a great home for sonic guize i swear
Theres a dam good fucking reason they never place.

Gotta get those #1 sales.

I'm more interested in next month I think, Mister Miracle #1 orders should be fun

If they didn't do that, they would have to shut down. They sell like shit digitally and basically no trades at all. Unlike DC and Image these cucks are completely dependent on direct market

All new guardians of the Galaxy almost out of the top 100

Considering the movie came out 3 months ago, and managed to reach 850 million dollars... it's quite an archivment to tank this comic

Congratulations to Marvel I guess?

>11. HE MAN THUNDERCATS TP (DC)

Glad to see that the He-Man/Thundercats trade had great sales. It was the best crossover of the past 5 years. DC should create more He-Man and Thundercats comics!

>5. FLASH TP VOL 03 ROGUES RELOADED (REBIRTH) (DC)
Flash is definitely the most successful thing of Rebirth. This shit was barely breaking 35k pre Rebirth. Sucks because Williamson is such a fucking bore and DC will get the idea that Williamson is actually good or something.

WOW .. come to think of it every month the top ten for marvel is 1st

you all will hate me for it but I think their trick is working , it's pathetic but working .
soon They will be running out of tricks what are they gonna do ?

>soon They will be running out of tricks
I really don't know why people say this shit. Marvel has been using variations of same gimmicks since 90s. Comic readers either don't know their history or just have really short memories. It's both honestly and comic readers as a whole need to become much more cynical and critical and maybe then something good will come out.

>comic readers as a whole need to become even more cynical and critical
Fixed.

That shit has been overshipped like nuts.

#4 last month was 34 in the unit rankings (47K) but 102 in the dollar share rankings (comparable to a book selling 25K at the same price point).

Insane overshipping.

>just have really short memories
How did you know ??

>renew your vows and wild storm still in top 100
>Monstress and Legend of Korra selling like hotcakes
>Paper Girls too
>even Street Angel
>Valerian getting a push
At least there's some good news.

Also great to know that My Little Pony comics can be fantastically successful without having to break the top 100. Good to see the industry finding a balance.

Are you being ironic my dude or do you not see the cyclical nature of this medium?

I don't see any good news there.

>2. ASTONISHING X-MEN #1 (MAR)

No but it's marvel that's giving up probably because they're so tired of winning

>winning

what kind of person enjoys the Deadpools kills Marvel Universe comics?

No dude .. I really have a f#@ked up memory

Don't ask !!

No one. Collectors simply go after the #1.

>censoring "fucked"
t. summerfag

Thanks Bendis

> 85. RED HOOD AND THE OUTLAWS #12

What the fuck? Wasn't this at around 100 last month? I hope this means its getting a boost in sales

Well, first you need good taste. I understand it's in finite supply on Sup Forums.

So, Marvel got X-men, spiderman and variations on these two properties as well as Thor, defenders and lots of star wars into the top 50 with avengers, panther, iron people's, Thanos, champions, punisher, daredevil, Hulk and iron fist into the 100. Their doing well and it's hard to argue that but this is Sup Forums and poking the bear is expected, so. What didn't make it? Oh no, were have all the Inhumans gone, mha haha.

I chose to censor it because the old dude set next to me snooping in my phone

Other wise I can write fuck or cunt or dick

>15. DETECTIVE COMICS #960 (DC)
>> 16. DETECTIVE COMICS #961 (DC)
Bad.

It still doing better than Damian books, damifan.

For example all major events since Crisis on Infinite Earths have the same narrative language, if you pay attention you would see the same narrative devices, plot outline, character archetypes, tropes etc but the publishers lack the self awareness in that they'd call it the most ambitious thing since their last most ambitious thing or that it would change the universe forever and so on, so forth. And readers lack the self awareness just as much since they happily enable this industry to fuck them right in the ass.
My honest hope is that this mainstream industry kills itself because this industry truly deserves to burn down and may the new and evangelized substitute comes from the ashes that's actually worth giving a shit about.

Someone that likes BKV shouldn't be so smug and call someone else out on having bad taste.

Trolling aside, this is correct. It's all settling again, Batman is DC's only sales weapon. Flash makes an appearance at 18 and I obviously expect it to dip lower.

At some point during the new 52, all the DC comics in the top 40 were Batman properties or were Batman related.

I don't know how to fix this.

>I don't know how to fix this.
You're just an unpaid intern, user. Disney doesn't expect you to help their enemy.

Nigga you literally like YA tier shit, why would you say dumb shit like this ever?

I didn't mean to trigger you so hard, user. I apologize.

But the my little pony comics are fucking terrible.

They were supposed to get young girls into comics and idw fucked it up.

By that logic, events and number ones are the only things that Marvel can sell.

>apologizing for doing his duty
You're fired.

Well, yes.

Then DC is in a better place.

Events always sell, regardless of the company, that's just capeshit readers being retarded as usual.

The real issue for Marvel sales-wise is they've effectively managed to mismanage away the X line. Their latest relaunch is terrible in every single way, including sales.

They're gonna have to come up with a new gimmick because the #1s diminishing returns are catching up to them.

Why? Marvel has no problem selling only events and #1 they're unapologetic like that. I always smile when I see someone accuse marvel of using "shitty tactics" because that's simply who Marvel is, that's their identity. Even then, that's two things Marvel depends on while DC only has Batman and let's not pretend everything Batman sells, 'tec was doing lousy numbers pre Rebirth and Batman The Dark Knight got canceled.

Another cent for user!

>Even then, that's two things Marvel depends on while DC only has Batman
"Batman" is a franchise with a solid fanbase. Events and #1 are shitty gimmicks that are less and less dependable year after year. Look at the terrible numbers of "Secret Empire" or at the relaunch of the X-Line.

>that are less and less dependable
Reality says otherwise
>"Batman" is a franchise with a solid fanbase
Please don't ignore half of my post. Batman is a huge seller, Detective Comics also sells well. batman guest starring in a book that's doing 18k will not make it pull 30k for that one month. Various spin off like Gotham By Midnight failed etc.

>Reality says otherwise
The reality where "Secret Empire" can't even sell 100k?

>overshipping for the unit share
>loot crates and variant extorsion inflating the numbers
>relaunching spiderman, x-men and deadpool against a normal week for dc
>win the week marginally and all those books will drop under 40k by third issue
Based marvel is there anything they can't do besides good comics, movies or videogames?

They are in this state for so long that everybody acept this as their normal.
Only one year ago when Rebirth was in it's peak, the faced some critics. But now, Rebirth has faded so they hardly need to concern about anything.
Their only actuals critics are a bunch of "not muh" guys who think Marvel is part of some kind of conspiracy to make everybody black/muslim/women.

Events and #1s have kept Marvel above DC. Batman can't help DC top Marvel. History proves this and there's little reason to think it will happen now. Relaunches help, but how many more can they take?

I think DCucks are really just hoping/waiting until Marvel fucks up enough so that DC can grab the #1 spot. Even then, Marvel will have to REALLY fuck up.

Still a top seller. reality is that comics are slowly but surely dying and Marvel are desperately trying to crash the industry and no matter how hard they try there will always be people out there defending their shitty tactics and saying how "you can't boycott Marvel because it's bad for business" or some shit but years back boycotting DC was totally fine.
Like I said, they use might use shitty tactics but it's who they are and because DC are trying to fight them at their own game they've forgotten how to make great comics. Fuck man, they even killed Vertigo.

So, I guess DC should do #1 and events every month to easy win then? Too bad they're not a bunch of faggots who shits on their fanbase.

>there will always be people out there defending their shitty tactics
Like you.

>Events and #1s have kept Marvel above DC.
And the price is dogshit stories.

>Too bad they're not a bunch of faggots who shits on their fanbase.
>Jurgens still writing Superman comics

Select only one.

>DCucks
Ban incoming!

It took Marvel fucking up and DC comic out with #1's galore and shitty Watchmen crossover teases for them to just barely get ahead for 2 or 3 months. And of course it was all shitty hype too many #1's at once and they couldn't nurture the titles and they've all fallen like anvils. The low quality of art and writing certainly doesn't help either.

Absolutely.

But then again, if we were debating stories on their merit, we would not be discussing Marvel/DC comics.

>implying AC is bad
>implying Zod who punched Mongul to orbit is bad
Weak bait user

The only glaring point for Marvel is how good their events are doing. SE sell less that 85K last month. and for it current position, i don't think is doing better. Probably is the worst selling event from Marvel.

>meanwhile in real life flash in the #20s is outselling x-men books at issue 7
Whatever helps you sleep friend

>they've all fallen like anvils.
Is that bait? DC's titles hold their numbers way better than Marvel's.

An issue number #25 is considered an accomplishment at Marvel nowadays since their books are canceled before #20 due to low sales

>hasbro now trusts idw so little the Hanazuki comics are just direct episode adaptions

>DC's titles hold their numbers way better than Marvel's.
Irrelevant. Marvel doesn't care about long lasting numbers, remember? just #1. We're talking abut the company that unironically relaunched a title with the same damn creative team after just 5 issues. And not just one series.
Not dropping as hard as Marvel titles really doesn't mean shit.

>If it proves me wrong, it's irrelevant
Have a nice day, son.

>Theres a dam good fucking reason they never place.
because of losers like you?

It doesn't prove me wrong, you're just moving the goal posts.

James pls.Cass is a cunt.
