I haven't watched Land Before Time in decades. I remember a bunch of random scenes.
>Littlefoot and the others are looking for the most delicious leaves
>Ducky almost gets eaten by a dino-gator and Spike(?) calls out her name, only to never speak again
>Petrie had an annoying twangy voice but I liked him as a kid

No idea who the pink one is. I recognize the purple one but I don't remember his name.

Purple is Chomper-- he's the little sharptooth from the first sequel, he later grew up and was able to talk and people liked him so much he was brought back as a main character in the TV show and fourteenth movie. The pink one is Ruby, she's Chomper's guardian from the TV series who talks like Yogi Berra.

I love the series as well but think they need to have the characters fall in love with new characters such as littlefoot and ali.

The one where they meet the aliens.

Jokes aside, although that movie does exist, I'm a sucker for the Lone Dinosaur musical sequence. Fucking gunfighter ballads, man.

Would be cool to see them older , but as of 14 they're still kids. And Ali has an asshole new friend named Rhett who travels with her herd. Plus, it's kind of implied she and Littlefoot's herds are related, so they're something like cousins.

Aside from the original, probably II

Although Secret of Saurus Rock and the one where they cross the sea and end up on an island were pretty cool

I'm still having nightmares about that one drawfag request that was fulfilled over the weekend. I've never been more disappointed in my dick.

Did you save it? Post it on the current drawthread if you did

The one where Littlefoot meets his dad. That song sequence where it seemed like he was about to leave his friends and go live with his dad was fucking heartbreaking.

That song and the one in 5 where they're on the beach at night are some of the biggest childhood tearjerkers.

fuck off samefag. i know you started this thread just so you could bring this up again

>Saving YouTube images

...

Nice flathead, Flathead

I still quote that

My favorite was the one where ducky's dad killed her then set her corpse on fire then killed himself.

Yep yep yep!

We don't like your kind.

Ow, the edge.

Hey, at least the character she loved-- loved so much that they quoted "Yep yep yep" on her tombstone-- was allowed to be a integral part of so many people's childhoods. She got to be the symbol of innocence for everyone who grew up in the prime sequel era-- I'd say immortalization as a symbol of good is a pretty damn fine silver lining, if nothing else.

...

FUCKING ALIENS

They removed that scene from all releases of the movie after 2007.

>Well, that would be telling...

>Raptors
>No feathers
ugh

It's weird. I loved the series as a kid, hated it as a teen, now I really miss it as an adult.

I had these two saved for some reason.

All Dogs Go To Heaven series was better

Did one of the movies have gay dinosaurs?

It's relevant to my interests.

I'd place Journey of the Brave higher since the animation was really good at the beginning. But yeah, it was noticeably sucky towards the ending. Still a much better film to go out on than 13.

user, Littlefoot and Chomper are gay. He jumped off of a cliff to save him from sharks-- he convinced an entire valley of grumpy old men to accept a potential child-eating monster to live in the caverns. They're the gayest dinosaur couple of all time.

>Series
I'm hope you're referring to both movies, not this.
The opening song was good, but the show itself was horribly bland.

>No wrong answers
Yes, there are. Anything other than "the original is great and all the sequels are soulless garbage" is the wrong answer.

Nope, I wrote exactly what I meant

The sequels had soul. They had scenes where you had to say goodbye to beloved characters, great music, and they weren't afraid to show the main characters almost get fucking killed in every movie.

...

I forget, but I think one of the animators said that Mr. Thicknose was gay, that was why he was so self-conscious and afraid to be around other people.

I used to think Littlefoot was a girl, anyone thought that too?

An early example of effeminate male qualities that was ultimately harmless-- wasn't super effeminate bullshit, it showed he was sensitive for a boy. It's not like what modern Cartoon Network has done to their male characters.

Seeing them all lined up like that gets me emotional. Film 14's ending was made to be an acceptable send off if no other movies were made. As much as I always said 'why are there so goddamn many of these things', I don't want them to stop making them. They're on of the few things that have survived past my childhood.

I adore the movies, but do yourself a favor and don't watch the TV show.

It has multiple songs in every episode, but there were only a few different tunes they used. So every episode repeated the same songs but with different words. Over and over and over.

The plots were pretty contrived, but Petrie and his "sleeping stick" (think in terms of a stuffed animal) was pretty cute, if not a bit sad.

The show had potential, but it just didn't work for me. The movies are getting weirder and weirder, but I don't really mind. It's kind of fun to see where they go next.

Better than The Good Dinosaur--that's for sure.

The show was meh, but it was still just exciting as hell to see Chomper again, and as a main character as he should be by this point. And not all the shows episodes were bad: the one where Ali's herd nearly murder's Chomper in cold blood is pretty good. So is Doc's return.

Oh yeah, and the episode where Ducky becomes a paranoid hoarding bitch. That was a pretty good one too.

The oviraptors from the I think the second movie looked pretty gay in retrospective.

That little purple t-rexes parents

These two?

>tfw you relate more to cartoon T-rex's than your own parents

I'm sure they'd find a way

What are you people talking about

first movie was awesome

It was indeed

When the managed to eat some tee stars.
They made it look so tasty

Are we going to have this thread every single day?
Like, we get it. Someone drew porn of the ducky's voice actor sucking off a shotgun. I swear to god you lolicons need to get shot.

Is it weird to say that I imagine that T-Rex be voiced by the same guy who did Hank Hill?

>sharptooth
Thats fucking racist Sup Forums, the politically correct term is meat eater-american

They are still making these movies?

So how do you think Don Bluth feels about the sequels?

Yeah, but we're actually discussing the Land Before Time and its sequels this time.

>When the managed to eat

I think he once said something about not giving a damn.

He calls them 'cookie-cutter' and 'how many are they gonna make?' but he's also said he understands why these characters strike a nerve with people so much that people want to keep seeing them.

Not weird at all-- Chomper is the equivelant of a Human whose best friends are cows, of course his parents are concerned about him.
