Lucky Luke

Does anybody know if I can download the 1983 Morris/Hanna-Barbera Lucky Luke animated series anywhere? The series seems to be shrouded in complete obscurity, it doesn't even have its own wikipedia page.
I remember watching it when I was a wee lad, but fuck me if I can find it anywhere today. Some of the eps are on youtube, but not all of them. PBay has no torrents, heck, google does not know of any torrenting site or kiss-knockoff that would have it in full.
Supposedly it was released on "home media" a few years ago, according to wikipedia, but I can find no DVDs, no blue rays, no legal official streaming service - not in english, at least.
Help me chums.

I wonder if anybody on all of "Sup Forums - Comcs & Cartoons" even know what Lucky Luke is

I do.
Generally I like Lucky Luke, though with some downs with Luke being an insufferable Mary Sue.

He's a Mary Sue done right (which arguably, is not a Mary Sue): he's the setting, and the rest of the cast are the actual characters.

More like "he's the mcguffin"
Luke drives and sometimes resolves the plot, but he barely contributes to it.

I'm aware of it but haven't read any. Can someone explain what's going on in that OP pic? What's the deal with those four identical-but-progressively-shorter dudes on the right?

Those are the Dalton Brothers, one of the main protagonists in the series. They look the same, dress the same, you get the gist, and they have this cliche thing where the shortest on is a short-tempered "leader", and the tallest is an air-headed goof.

Daltons (cousins of the real life Daltons); Joe (shortest and the leader), Jack, William and Averell (tallest and dumbest) iirc

Their chief value is in their potential for pretty constant visual gags

>protagonists
bah,
>antagonists*
silly me

Some weird fucking genetics going on in that family. To produce four children with no variation whatsoever aside from height, the genepool from which their parents draw must be really fucking shallow.

>the genepool from which their parents draw must be really fucking shallow.
well it is the old west.

Oh, it gets weirder

I'm convinced that they are from some humanoid sub-species that has no sexual dimorphism.

Of course I do. He was created in the greatest country on Earth, after all.

Belgium is pretty great

Damn straight.

I remember that series. They also had a stupid dog.

Literally present on ops pic.

Lucky Luke is more like a force of nature than a character.

Good manners and the law bind him, though and interestingly are often used against him.

I always liked how Sarah Bernhard hating his cigarette smoke and banning him from her wagon/room absolutely pissed him off. (this is classic issues before he went and sucked on a straw instead).

Also often his horse, Jolly Jumper, does all the work behind the scenes to resolve a conflict.

We storytimed the anniversary issue in here with the slightly more realistic and gritty reboot Lucky Luke that looked a bit Asian.
Pretty good western comic to be honest, just not very funny.
I guess good for the kids that don't even know what a western is so they have a hard time understanding the old comics.

every single member of Dalton family looks the same

On that note:
I hate this cliche in shows and cartons where ancestors of main characters look like/are played by the exact same actors as the main characters.
I can give it a pass if it's just main characters telling stories about them, or reminiscing, or healing a tale and self-inserting, but if it's an actual episode taking place in the past or a narrative flashback - it pisses me off.

Lucky Luke is not Mary Sue

He just have good luck and incredible aiming & speed skills

>Celibate Hero: While this was frequent at the times in franco-belgian comics, Lucky Luke deserves a special mention in that he is explicitly stated to dislike the very concept of being in a relationship. In one book, when asked to escort a group of women to a new town, he freaks out at the mere sight of the women and almost refuses to provide his help until being convinced nothing will happen.

I would never imagine that someone could sexualize Joe Dalton

Deviantart will never stop to surprise

>shoots faster than his own shadow
Could he outgun the Flash?
>gritty reboot
The first issue always looked plenty gritty to me.

Please tell me this was drawn by a girl and it's her self-insert

I know of it because French/Tunisian/Moroccan families here in the City show it to their kids to help them learn French.

Never seen it in English.

>look up reboot
>see an issue was released in 2017
>google images
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT

Did Averell finally eat William

Why would they do this. Why this artstyle?

Looks like it was drawn by a cut-rate political cartoonist.

At least it's not in CalArts or worse, tumblr style.

Yes, look for mirinata on deviantart

It looks like a fucking parody.

shoot me if you wish, but I think I'd rather have cal arts over this.
At least cal arts would be able to do the "all daltons look the same" joke right, it specializes in copy-paste character designs.

>Daltons with tumblr noses

too bad new tumblr generations are not interested in wild west anymore

tumblr style != cal arts style nijja

that whole dalton cousins was really shitty idea
I'm glad it was never mentioned in any tv series or movies and it's even retconned

do all Dalton covers feature a joke about stairs, ladders, slopes, etc?

That is NOT the reboot that I meant.
I referred to the 70'th anniversary issue: "The man that killed Lucky Luke"

>We grimdark now son!

Don't have more images at hand. Just quickly googled it.

It's a pretty good western comic.

yes

This is an ok album, it's not a "new fresh reboot", it's just a one shot story that tries a different take on the franchise for one story.

>Lucky Luke thread

No better time to post this.

looks edgy, is he gonna kill someone?
>I think he actually killed someone in the very first BD (bande desinee, excuse my french)
>it's the reason he won't kill anyone anymore

I won't spoiler it.
But people get killed.

Thank you Satan.

I guess he could shoot a bullet that the Flash would run into and cause death by lead poisoning once he slows down.
