The one with no porridge.

The faggot pacifist protagonist always wins.

>body swap
>the voices didn't swap with th em

Episode where the cast go to a female-led society and they always treat the males as slaves.

>Person gets turned evil by something out of their control
>Gets punished for it anyway

The clown.

That's not a trope, that's realism.

Fuck off Mr. Enter you literal autist

I don't like when the picture on the screen starts moving :(

>everything is solved by THE POWER OF LOVE

Gennedy you hack

Who the fuck is Mr.Enter?

Some savant autist.

boys vs girls episode
lying episodes
misunderstanding episodes

Limelight episodes

It's either an admission of character not being used correctly and desperately trying to make the character relevant or more marysue wankery over one character.

It's a bandaid for a flaw that shouldn't even exist

Well, the alchemist from monkey team became a full fledged monster as the skeleton king, and to boot he was bent on the destruction of all life, not only that, he was threatening as fuck whenever he was on screen seeing him get defeated was nothing short of awesome.

>savant

>Its a comic relief character fucks everything up for everyone episode

>Everyone demonizes a character because of a misunderstanding
>Only gets resolved the last minute

>character has a power/ability they could use to avoid/get out of/fix a situation
>they don't use it because the writers either forgot or just chose to ignore it

>Fantasy setting
>MC is a special snowflake prophecy child

The entire finale of Gravity Falls

when the main character's penis or vagina isn't shown

when the side characters' penises or vaginas aren't shown

when your penis or vagina can't see the screen

>The entire [...] Gravity Falls

Fixed

>comedic fantasy cartoon
>constant anachronistic jokes

>Character looks like a girl
>Sounds like a girl
>Has a girl's name
>Arguably acts like a girl
>Is a boy

when a character takes for granted their own racial privileges and doesn't take advantage of the unfair advantage to help their less privileged comrades out

when a character's gender is assumed without said character stating what their pronouns are for the episode

Name 2 examples

hare from hare guu is one example, and i'm sure if you looked in a mirror you'd find another

The kid from that old viking cartoon. Though you can apparently see his dick in one of the episodes

>plot driven show host large array of characters yet there is little to no developments in their relationships and how they interact with one another

>The way the hero defeats the villain is far less impressive than how the villain beat the hero earlier

youtube.com/watch?v=bVdI6laTOXI

dank bass line in the intro tho

"Death fakeout" scenes. I get annoyed by these more the more convincing the "death" was, and the more well written/fitting the "death" was.

>leader withholds information from the group i.e there's a spy or some shit
>group finds out
>none of them understand the situation and think the leader betrayed their trust

>the plot could have been resolved had everyone acted like rational people for only ten seconds

Did it really get that bad? I saw a few episodesnand i thiught it was ok.

Pros, The altered opening credits, the shack going Mecha and a ridiculously satisfying punch dealt to Bill, some characters actually being a bit useful post that shity Mabel arc.

No punishment for Mabel, nor even her acknowledging she did wrong, Bill as a frat God, petty Stan vs Ford ruin the ritual for the destruction of Bill that was hyped for 2 fucking seasons, and worse, instead of actually showing the consequences of using the mind wipe device we have a happy ending meaning that the sacrifice meant nothing and thus rendering that satisfying last punch to Bill less awesome.

It's entertaining as long as you don't think too much about it.

Not to mention the character development for several key members of the cast, not to mention the seasons it took, would be dropped for gags and giggles.

you can see his dick in episode 9 senpai

Yeah, I mentioned that.

>character wants piece and quiet
>another annoying character makes all sorts of mess and mischief
>quiet character tries to calm him down and tries to keep the damage at a bare minimum to no avail
>in the end the quite character gets all the blame, while the annoying character gets away scots free
>this is the basic premise of the entire cartoon

>Character gets scared
>Soils themselves

>Something stupid or weird happens
>"AWKWAAAARD"

>Big fight happens due to a misunderstanding between characters that would have been solved otherwise if anyone actually had normal conversation or chose to ask questions

>Character can't do thing because reasons
>Someone tells character to believe in his/herself
>Suddenly they can do it and the day is saved just in the nick of time

>Fakeout deaths for main character that is obviously never going to fucking die because they're the main god damn character

I could go on, but these get me the most.

>mean spirited running jokes

>3/4 Conflict.
Usually after a training montage the characters go on small quest or have misunderstanding that can easily be solved if they just talk.

I prefer it that way tho

Your mind swapped not your vocal cords

>God or god-like being loses to regular humans because "their faults make them superior in strength, their inner-will is unbreakable"

>the protagonist doesn't kill - this itself is fine
>he comes across a fucking horrible villain
>he defeats him but he refuses to kill him
>now instead of coming up with an ethical and moral answer to the question of fatality the villain either kills himself or dies from something fucking stupid

I gotta give kudos for Avatar for not pulling this off

What cartoon you talking about?

See? I can make baseless assumptions and shitpost, too.

>and worse, instead of actually showing the consequences of using the mind wipe device we have a happy ending meaning that the sacrifice meant nothing
You're not really getting it. I'm not saying it was executed perfectly, but I understand what they were going for. This is a prime example of character development > plot. What matters is the intention, not the consequence. This is not uncommon in fiction, in fact, this is the entire base for why people like some villains and video game bosses that are characters. Whether they win or not is unimportant, what's important is their character. This is what they've been going for with Stan.

calm down

All men being idiots and females being the reason anything works.

pointless gurrrrl power episodes

I am calm. And since this conversation isn't going anywhere have this last nummy (You).

A persons personality is related to their power. Icey bitch, hot headed pyro, electric energetic, rapist tentacle monster

Pointless girls are weak and need boys to defend them trope

>main villain never succeeds during any plot line even though he has a cool design/VA
>a bigger villain emerges that's lamer compared to the normal one and he has to join forces with the good guys to defeat him

>it's another writer rants on about the fandom episode

>female warrior love interest is killed off in bullshit way for no other reason than to hurt the male protagonist.

why do you feel so insecure?

>Why send a MAN to do a WOMAN'S job
Or
>Man makes comments about character being a girl, girl beats up man, and girl makes a "How's that for a girl" comment

Just fucking show that they're capable. I don't need to be spoonfed the fact that they're not male. That's exactly why I like Sarah Connor in T2, because they don't need to scream at you that she's a female. She just happens to be a woman and is a badass.

Or fucking Ripley in Alien(s). Another example of how to do that shit properly.

from ppg?

>group is walking in the forest
>character in the back notices something in the bushes moving or some silhouette watching or something else suspicious
>"huh? what is it character?"
>"nothing... probably just my imagination"

>You can wash dishes in a restaurant if you don't have any money.
They just call the cops

>it's another writer rants on about the critics of the show episode

>Fat character
>His one and only personality trait is that he/she likes to eat and is always thinking about food
>Extra rage if it's just junk food and he/she has shitty taste

Big Meme?

>The beta gets the girl

>MC is literally OP but acts all "ooh I have feelings and problems too y'know, its so much better like [2nd character]"

>pointless "”"sexy""" scenes

I consider your trope a bonus to the following:
>protag has been planning to put time aside for some activity(s) they enjoy
>the cosmos conspires against the protag to fuck shit up at every turn, changing mundane tasks into harrowing ordeals
>story ends with protag a broken shell of themselves after being repeatedly & brutally denied even the simplest of pleasures

>an interesting development gets reset at the end of the episode in a contrived way because muh status quo

>Episode focuses on a secondary/background character
>Is shit

>seemingly one-dimensional character has an episode or moments throughout the show dedicated to fleshing them out more
>any development is completely disregarded by the next episode

that fucking Ol Gil episode of the Simpsons fuck me I get angry just thinking about it

>like a character
>she disappears from the show

>older characters always find a way to rant and to nag on some younger characters, even when the young characters are right
>why they have those rants and patronizing comments? Only because they only want to justify and defend their inflated egos and superiority complexes
So, please. If you want to find some way to vent your emotion. Find alternative for Christ sake

RIP Brittney
Gone but not forgotten

Also, tropes that make me angry:
>character suddenly gets rich
>becomes a huge douche and loses all the money by the end of the episode

>it's a show where the protagonist(s) are just annoying assholes who ruin everyone elses' lives, but it's ok because they're "funny"

>characters who are solely defined by one trait, whether it's being fat, evil, or whatever, and never explored further or given a more fleshed out personality

come on, that can be even worse
>people realize the terrible deeds they have inflicted to the victim
>but those assholes still think they have moral high grounds and refuse to acknowledge their mistakes
>and they still choose to demonize/blame the same victim because the lack of understanding (even after they know what is going on)

Pacifica, is that you?

reminds me of old polish "joke"

>listen, stefan, we don't want you among us anymore, turns out the guy who stole the money wasn't you, but it still left a bad taste.

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

but that is not a cartoon trope, it's real life.
If you can't see that then either you don't know any fat people or you're a fat people yourselves.

Only 500 pound degenerates like Boogie are like that. Even if you're fat, at some point you get full and have to do something else with the 14 other hours of the waking day that you have that aren't spent eating. The constantly eating and hungry trope isn't funny at all and it's tired as fuck. I only like it when they're good at drawing food porn. I don't mind the way Scooby Doo does it, because they don't just eat potato chips constantly and the food they eat is varied and looks good. Then they draw them eating it in visually interesting ways. I'm talking the other fat characters where their whole existence is just being gluton for the sake of non-existent laughs.

this is true though

user, this is inaccurate. Sure, massive hambeasts live their lives completely obsessed with food, but people who are only a little/up to 100 pounds overweight generally just make some bad lifestyle choices that lead to them being fat. I won't call bullshit if landwhales are portrayed as gluttonous and food-obsessed, because that is generally true, but applying that to characters who aren't morbidly obese, but still somewhat fat perpetuates a harmful stereotype and is honestly a worn out joke at this point.

fucking horrible taste

Avatar kind of still fucked it up by letting him safely neutralize the villain, which is just skipping past the moral dilemma in a PG13 way.

>joke character pulls off a win
>never mentioned again
or
>doormat character has taken enough shit
>rages out, stands up for themselves
>maybe even does something badass
>next episode back to doormat
It's kind of the same trigger.

>A show decides to do the opposite and have changes stay.
>The changes are for the worse.

I always thought it was just for the viewers, so people notice they have switched bodies but no one in their world notices it. They didn't actually change voices, but viewer hears it.
But then comes some idiot who actually writes them changing voices and ruines everything "HEY CARL YOU SOUND DIFFERENT LOL"

That can work is the prophecy fucks them seven ways to Sunday and then they get no happy ending.

Buttons and Mindy

Except you do become overweight simply by overeating. It's not a stereotype to point out that overweight people eat more than they should. If they didn't, they wouldn't be overweight in the first place.

Arkham City was retarded about this.

>sparing the Joker led to nothing but hundreds of deaths the last time
>he is currently dying from his own actions
>Batman is rushing in to save him
>the Joker decides to stab Batman while Batman is trying to save him, for literally no reason
>acts shocked and horrified when Batman is now unable to save him and he dies

Batman should have just made the choice to kill the Joker there. Especially since not even five minutes ago he had just killed Clayface.

>group is walking in the forest
>character in the back notices something in the bushes moving or some silhouette watching or something else suspicious
>"huh? what is it character?"
>"There's something moving over there"
>"HAHAHA Scared much character?"
>"Yeah it's probably just your imagination. Come on scaredy cat"

>Evil man from earlier surprise attacks the group
>"FUCK YOU CHARACTER WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY ANYTHING!"

Holy shit is that panel offical?

>Villian works his way up and finally succeeds
>Hero suddenly gets a win button on a silver platter
