As '90s Xtreme as they may be, these two have seriously grown on me. I wish they'd appear in Spider-Man in their classic forms more often.

You probably think thats clever but your literraly a little bitch who wont even post cause your insecure about your own shitty taste

Not as long as that dumb mouth is there.

The 30s/40s gangster look has always been best for Joker.

No way, his original design with the brown coat and baseball cap are infinitely better.

...

Maybe goofy but Galactus always felt extremely powerful to me.

Comics should be goofy, anyway, honestly. And I don't mean in that shit hipster self-aware way, either. '60s Batman did it best if you want to go that route, and that is,
you give the audience the illusion you are taking yourself seriously without winking at them every two goddamn seconds.

the Colours look way better on a blonde grill

...

I've liked pretty much all of this guys' costumes, though.

...

...

I've always really liked Juggie's look, too. Miss him.

Not that guy but relax buddy, it was a fucking joke

Always really loved the Frankensteinian essence of Kirby's Hulk, as well.

...

...

Green Goblin has always been a cool idea for a character.

The blade that pierced his body, came from his trailer.

And who doesn't love this fat sadistic fuck?

Doctor Strange is a respectable guy.

...

Everything about the designs for Spider-Man and his rouges gallery shouldnt work. The web design should make the suit look to busy, on the flipside the villians should come out to simple, and most of all there is absolutely nothing to signify the character designs belong in the same universe, let alone the same city.

Yet somehow its all absolutely fucking perfect.

...

I sort of feel this way about Joker and Batman. Not so much about their designs, but more that their motifs are somewhat random being they're the most iconic hero-villain relationship in comics.

...

Whether Galactus works or not depends almost entirely on if the artist drawing him realises the importance of lighting in creating scale.

The artist here does.

I really hope they bring back the classic look for these characters and don't fuck it up again. The blue on blue looks great.

The first appearance of the X-Men is great. I wouldn't want the costumes to be permanent, but they look awesome for an unproven teenage start-up team.

Love all the Marvel family outfits. Those half-capes are great.

Hellboy's look is awesome and rather original, don't you think? Mignola's art obviously adds a lot to it.

Grittiness done right; self-aware, but unashamed. I love sluggish old man, more-than-slightly insane Batman. Carrie Kelley is also my favourite Robin along with Grayson.

I really loved X-Statix. I'm surprised it's lesser known. It got me back into comics after a long dry spell.

...

...

Here's hoping they don't fuck him up in the DCEU.

Really like Cooke's '60s retro Catwoman.

Mignola is a master of many elements of the medium, and character design is definitely one of them.

That they went "let's take the classic demon design and make that our hero".

Cannot argue with this masterpiece of a costume.

SuperLex has a truly GOAT design.

...

I know it sounds weird, but I can't fucking stand goggles on Catwoman, I'm not the only one am I?

nothin beats the main man for me

As much as I like Croc in the Arkham games, I prefer when he's more of a balance between human and animal.

Raimi reportedly hated Venom and didn't want to use him (I think he preferred the subtle humour and heart of classic Spider-Man), but if he'd been able to hold off and include him in Spider-Man 4 with a different actor and maybe Carnage as well it could have worked. He is the director of Evil Dead II, and if he'd made the character similar to Ash in that, he would have been able to pull it off.

>tfw you were a kid when you saw the Raimi films and didn't notice all of the '60s Batman level tongue-in-cheekness going on.

Unironically Juggernaut, he looks like a big red bullet, and as a guy who will fucking kill you if you're unlucky enough to be in his path, it works.

The old and the new costume are equally shit desu

Anyone else always think this guy was a cool character?

The E1 Batman suit would have been perfect if they made the Oval bigger, the hexagonal sheild is just difference for the sake of difference.

Best IM armor coming through

He's a character that would only work in the insanity of Gotham.

it looks good but classic is better imo. silver centurion one looks weird with those big ass shoulder pads, especially in this picture

My African American friend.

Nice.

Look deep inside you, you know it to be true

I always did love Cully Hamner's design of blue beetle.

Best taste.

I wonder how they managed to turn this costume into such abomination

I think the thing about X-Statix is that while the writing in most of it was damn near phenomenal in most places (in my opinion, anyway), Allred's art is very hit-or-miss with most people. Everybody I've talked to about it said they didn't like the art. It always confused me, but hey.

My favorite super hero costume of all time

I've always loved the Extremis one personally.

I really like how he looked in Arkham Origins.

Armor plating is less sleek than reinforced nano-steel cybernetic fabric, who knew?

His cape was the most logical, it's literally a wingsuit

visors are cool!

I get that batman needs his gadgets but that is going overboard

See, now that looks cool. In the original cartoon I hated the design of the shoes. They looked like dress shoes, boots would have made it look significantly better.

Origins designs are pretty sweet.

>not preferring superior finger stripes
Get outta here, user
