Hollywood is an annoying Johnny Cage rip-off. Kingpin is just shitty and boring, barely even fitting in the game at all (He should have just stayed in Saints Row). Daisy has a fun design but she's just fucking obnoxious in game.
The rest of the characters are cool but Red Card is by far the best character. He's too good for this game.

Agreed. Red Card is easily the best. I like the idea behind Daisy, but she's essentially Pam from Archer without any intriguing characters for her to bounce off of. Fortune is a sky pirate and I really wish they did something more with that than just "She's a master thief." Gremlin is super cute.
Really hoping Volition moves on to something different after this. I'd love to see what they could do if they stretched their legs and moved on to something new and not tied to SR in any way.

Agents of Mayhem seems like a game that doesn't really know what it wants to be. It's trying to be a parody of Saturday Morning Cartoons but doesn't really play with the idea in the slightest. There shouldn't be any swearing in the game at all IMO for a start. It's trying to be goofy and crude at the same time and that's making them fall flat on both. The villains especially are boring in comparison to what the 80's cartoons this is based on came up with.

I like playing the game but so far the story is garbage. I can play games without stories or characters to speak of, I was playing the first Crackdown before this.
It's impossible in the greater Saints Row fandom right now. All they want to talk about is how gay the characters are and no one's making lewd content.
The animation goes from, "this is almost passable animation" to motion comics.
I'm conflicted about it because it looks like kind of an empty, soulless version of Saint's Row mixed with Crackdown and a coat of Overwatch...

The backstory is actually pretty fucking dark behind all the ridiculous gameplay and exploits of the extremely colorful cast during AoM itself.
When you start actually reading the biographies and watching the 'extra' animated cut scenes you unlock and it really becomes apparent how fucked the world was by these comicbook super terrorists during their opening assault on the governments of the world.

Watching the animated cutscenes from the terminal in the commander's room aboard the flying base is hardly some sort of arduous trek.
Everything is adjacent to the teleporter you use to get onboard in the first place.
