Tfw you fell for the STEM meme

>tfw you fell for the STEM meme

If you're in STEM for any reason other than immense curiosity in your field, you goofed

T. Finance master race. I'm just here for the dough

Is it a meme? They keep telling me that CS is a huge field with oodles of job opportunities.

Although that depends on how many H1-B dickheads we get

>tfw you fell for the humanities (Japanese language/history/culture) meme but got redpilled 3 years in

Forgot image

Sucks bro. STEM is the only thing that makes me not feel like a totally pathetic piece of shit.

CS is heaving with jobs, Sup Forums will tell you that pajeets are taking all the jobs but they simply aren't intelligent enough and don't have the training to do that

Not a meme desu, plenty of work in the field. If you're actually the type that puts in the work and have some intelligence you'll go far. If you're a slacker you'll still get an acceptable starting job but nothing fancy really.

I almost feel bad for you

fucking weeb

You reap what you sow you fucking weeb.

Isn't it STEAM now

...

Just gonna an hero after voting

That's because you're insecure.

>An hero before the WW3 happening party

Nah son.

Its not intelligence, no one wants to work on a team with them

You and every other schmuck has a finance degree, unless its from a top school good luck doing shit with your life

You can only write on the internet due to STEM. It's more of a team, than a pyramid if you want to be honest with yourselves.

Why is STEM a meme though

Business is about connections playboy. Fuck what school you went to, if I have connections within the company that job is mine. Also my working history is incredible.

All the Finance learning is just shit that the computers calculate for you anyways now. Interpersonal skills, the ability to attract and retain clients/partners is where money is made.

Fucking duh.

not politics

saged and reported

Tfw I picked the accounting meme and have landed an internship in my junior year at the #1 Big 4 firm.

>it's all looking up fellas

>not falling for the STEM meme and flashing money around in college

>not interning at a large accounting firm and get $25/hour with 60 hour weeks
It's like you don't want to buy a Gucci AR and a piss ton of ammo

I don't have a relevant degree. I picked shitty liberal arts meme degree in film studies. Learnt almost nothing.

How good must my portfolio be?

You're not wrong, leaf.

>tfw you didn't even graduate
I am already dead

Galileo Galilei.

Tfw fell for the A in STEAM

>tfw too dumb for STEM

Is economics a meme degree?

Business is the true master race but STEM is acceptable.

Time to get on disability like I did.

My only issue with STEM is that it's not an industry where you can create your own company. You're pretty much doomed to being a wageslave for the rest of your life, working for some kike at an engineering company for 80k/year. Sure, that's a good salary, but you will never be your own boss.

Depends where you live. In most of America it is actually not a very safe field right now.

>film studies
I remember doing that, although not at degree level. All we did was watch films and write auteur essays. Was comfy. But shit.

>if
>if
>if

do you have a high paying job in the finance sector or not?

>itt: i haven't graduated yet but i WILL be the person in my year who goes straight into a graduate position with $300k starting, and not one of the 99% who sit on their arse doing nothing for 6 months before lucking my way into a dull 9-5 job unrelated to my degree and with few career prospects

baka desu senpai

What are startups? All the business majors I know want to start a company but can't into computers so they're stuck begging CS majors to be their co-founder

if you're too dumb to do STEM then you're too dumb to get anywhere doing economics. do some ez business or management course and learn how to socialise and network effectively.

What do you know about pic related?

>socialise and network effectively

Do you know where we are?

Why do you say that Shlomo? Should I just go into banking like you?

Fuck off normie

>TFW falling for the better job meme

There fixed it. STEM is not about having a better job, it's to advance human society technically.

That's the spirit.

which is why it should be STEM&B(B for business)

who /universalincome/ here?

I for one welcome our new robot overlords.

Commiefornia slowly relocating to other places like Texas and Seattle, while retarded managers abuse H1Bs to saturate the market with pajeets.

Fucking wrong, connections don't mean shit if you're a white male. I've been cheated out of simple wage slave jobs in Cali because of this bullshit.

I felt reluctant at first. But I think you are right. They are interpermeable already.

Athiesm+ levels of liberals trying to ruin everything good

At least we can become teachers....

Well it is generally scorned as a discipline.

I was listening to the radio the other day and they were asking a teachers if business should actually be defined as a discipline and if school should breef you on business ownership and all.

I mean not only is it a discipline, it's the disciple that teaches you how to not be "forced" to be a wagecuck.

>who /universalincome/ here?

I didn't think your country even had food.

If you're in STEM and are afraid of Pajeet stealing your job, look into positions with the federal government. Only open to US citizens and there is immense growth.

>he failed the STEM meme

STEM is life on easy mode desu. Get paid shitloads for comparatively not much work, and you can retire early.

STEM worked out pretty fucking great for me.

>finishing masters in electrical engineering this year
>already have a graduate position for next year in an asset management firm
>£48k starting

Universal income will never work here, luckily with the rise of the left I can go and mooch off some white boys in Europe.

>Universal income will never work here

nowhere that is

tfw fell for the Environmental Science and Natural Resources meme

No, I'm still in my last year of University. And I already have 6 interviews set up from people who contacted me. And some meetings with financial heavy hitters, because I can talk with them at their level and they offered to show me around the industry. This isn't bragging, I hope another business kid reads this and sees that this is the best way to advance in this industry

These jobs aren't hard. Everyone who is invited to interview is qualified. You have to give the impression to the hiring board that you are the person that they want to work with. I understand the injustice of minority hiring drives(which I benefit from) but that's just part of the game. I get some points on the HR sheet for being brown, but not as many as the girls I was competing with. But I still got the job.

Honestly bro I know its bullshit that they racially profile their hiring, and I know I benefit from something that I hate. But at the end of the day my colleagues are mostly white males so if you're not getting the job, you're not interviewing properly

STEM is the few degrees worth getting

Your a fat smelly retard that cant get a job

>tfw black and went to a bretty gud school

Started at 85k for my computer engg degree back in July

>Reply
I'll be in school until I'm 26 and then be making 6 figures immediately. What meme?

My degree is in geology.
I earn good coin as a cartographer. I make maps.
I won't bullshit you like most cunts on Sup Forums who say "I make over £100,000 each year".

I make about £30k each year and it's very comfy.
I'm disabled and can't walk because of a spinal injury. Going for a piss is a task, because my legs don't work.
But my life is great. I have a lovely wife and two kids.

Just wanted to say user: way to fucking go. Excellent. Well done man

Liberal arts fag here. I was pulling down $50k in the oil bidness before those goat fuckers in opec took a steaming shit on my gravy train. Good for you with your job, mate. To anyone wondering what to do in university, study what you like but make connections and fight for internships as early as possible so you have jobs lined up after graduation. It never hurts to double major as well, if you can manage the coursework.

Good for you mate. I'm proud of you. Nothing better than seeing someone do what they love and making heir own way doing it without relying on a handout because of a disadvantage.

Political Science BA and Theory MA

I'm a VP of finance for a division of a manufacturer. You STEM fucks are the most insufferable part of the business.

Can't wait to finish my PhD and dip out so I can just go be a professor and rake in that absolutely ridiculous for the effort involved salary on top of some textbook royalties when I publish one or two.

>fight for internships as early as possible

This.

Are you me?
Did you graduate yet?

>mfw English major and got a job straight out of college as a writer on a marketing team

>inb4 shill

no, I'm a junior

So what should one study? Internet security? Medicine? Law? Finance? Maths and the go to a bank?

How did you find a wife with your disability? History like yours cheer me up

>he's a stem major
>he doesn't at least self study 3 stem fields
You're doing it wrong

I'm falling for the Stem meme, I work with my dad who is a general contractor, technically its my company and i'm the one thats licensed, but I'm thinking of going back to school and getting a degree in structural or civil engineering so I can sign off on jobs in the city for my own company. Not sure if its worth it, we cleared 650 grand in profit this year so far. I don't want school to take away from work.

Thanks m8s. I also do voluntary work for the local museum as an archivist.
My upper body strength makes up for not being able to use my legs. I can beat anyone at arm-wrestling.

I need help sometimes, but doesn't everyone?

Same. No clue what I'm doing with my life.

If you are smart and put a minimal amount of effort geting that degree shouldn't be hard, and since you sound to be ok with your economy it wont be much of a drain, college is important because it helps you meet people in the field and make connection, even with your professors you could find new opportunities and shit.

Fuck STEM fuck university

I fell for all those memes

I can't believe asshole finance guys are making an easy six figures pushing number around. My only solace is that I know I'm smarter than them while I sweat out 50k on an hourly punching a time clock.

FML

I think I'm going to try to go to grad school

I can't afford grad school in the near future.
Going to try some internships the next two summers and see how that works out.

>Being in STEM for anything other than engineering or medicine

Kekkle. Enjoy being a pipet monkey making 40k a year for the rest of your life, or, if your a computer sciencefag, enjoy just being unemployed as Pajeet and friends take your job

Too dumb/unmotivated to get into med school even though I have a master's in biomed so I'm a freight broker now.

Se la vie

I'm for /smashcapitalism/ tbqh

>Dentistry

>Taking a major because you think it equals insta cash even though you have no ability in the field or an interest in it that will motivate you to study
STEM is such a fucking meme. I'm in Law School right now and you can tell the students that do poorly fell for the Law School meme.

It's only a meme if you're doing it purely because you think it'll make you money. You become successful at stuff by actually giving a shit about it so it isn't a grinding chore.

Im probably going to change my major to art so I can make good (white) art and move culture in the right direction

Is there even anyone alive today that can replicate the great works of the past? In every single other field people have made vast improvements

I could never do finance because the over-fictionalization of the economy is a cancer that needs to be stopped.

Also because 99% of people in finance are fucking awful.

>There's a point of replicating works that have already been made
Why does right wing art always suck ass? This is why Hitler was a shit painter.

Only decent rightist art is Futurism but pretty sure the autist nazis thought it was degenerate.

What are the most chad STEM fields, Sup Forums?

Chad:
>civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering

Beta:
>aerospace, computer, mathematics, physics

Omega:
CS, all programming fields

Finance is big because usury is now the American way. The people who actually produce wealth (engineers, operators, techs, etc)? Fuck em.

>Se la vie

its c'est la vie, you double digit IQ retard.

Where does chemical engineering go?

You're autistic.

Who cares.

Alpha if you are making meth.

Omega if you are making baby shampoo.

Lol. Ours at least pretended to have English and filmmaking in it. Comparing books to films was complicated but interesting. I actually got a B at A level maths and fell for the zeitgeist meme and wanted to be a filmmaker. Can you believe how retarded I am?

>electrical engineering
>Chad

no fucking way

>this
>Fucking wrong, connections don't mean shit if you're a white male
Hahaha what the fuck, is this really what the situation is there? You're being cucked to the limits boys.
