Crossed

I genuinely can't tell if Crossed is a master piece or trash. The Lapham portions seem more schlock than the Ennis and Moore parts. What are your thoughts on the series?

There are many different writers but more than half is good and some are brilliant.

utter garbage

Thus the divide grows.

Fuck movie and but some brown, I skull.

>Dude dead babies lmao!
>Dude god isn't real check out this lady's post-it notes lmao!
>Dude she's boiling a guy's head fight the patriarchy lmao!

absolute trash

I honestly loved the entire series. 100 was a bit annoying because of the way the characters spoke but it was very interesting.

This is true some stories come out terrible but others are actually good enough to keep you wonder what the fuck is going to happen next

Someone has never read crossed

At least read it before you judge it.

DUUUUUUUDE, THE BABIES GUTS ARE SPILLING OUT LMAO!!

Second only to the original arc is Wish You Were Here. There are other serious stories that try to be like them, but they fall short more often than not.

Everything else is there for cashing in or for fun of different kinds. badlands has really entertaining arcs every once in a while like the primitive crossed, and Crossed +100

The deal with crossed is to not expect some epic story and dissertatiopn on human nature and just roll with whatever the writer tries to do.

Hm. I can agree with that.

I'd say Ennis' original bit, Spurrier's web comic and +100 are good. Haven't read anything else I'd recommend but I haven't read everything. Well, started to read and dismissed as shit.

Also, Ennis should have his balls electrocuted whenever he tries to write something involving nuclear power.

I lost track of Crossed: +100, what's going on with that?

It ended.
Then Badlands ended.

And so Crossed is over.

He got really fucking spooked, leave him alone.

wtf even caused the virus and is this still ongoing

Gaia's Revenge per the Patient Zero Arc.
And no, it ended over a year ago (or more)

No idea to both; one of the arcs was a prequel that showed patient zeroes everywhere and the "infection" being different for each.

There was also a hivemind thing going on and the prevailing idea was that it was the Earth balancing things out.

Why are all the crossed white?

Because white people are inherently evil, so they're the most prone to it.

90% of Crossed is pure trash, and the other 10% is good enough that you'll wonder why they ruined it by wrapping a decent story in blatant gore porn.

Because all the non-whites were already living in communities full of guns and criminals so when the plague hit they all killed each other off pretty quickly.

How was +100? It seemed like an interesting different take but I stopped after a few issues since it was kind of boring.

Moore's run is a nice far-future apocalypse story.
Spurrier does the last two runs and it's not as cohesive as Moore's issues, but he gets the honor of writing what is essentially the last Crossed story and spends the main brunt of it taking the idea of "lucidity" and "bosses" to a natural conclusion.

Like anything there's going to be some gems but the problem is you're gonna have to dig through a lot and I do mean A LOT of crap to get to the few good bits

Personally I don't believe it's worth a dig, you're better off not giving a damn about it

It's pretty good. The fact that main antagonist is long dead by the time of the story is also a nice touch. And he still fucks everyone over.

That one about the scottish guy that was crazy is really good

The language for me ruined it,trying to decipher their broken English grew so tiring that I had to put it down or simply skip through to the flashback sections
