Cheetah

Cheetah thread?

For what purpose? Am I to believe that Sup Forums is knowledgeable enough about anything WW related to have a decent conversation about Cheetah? Fuck right off, all you drooling retards ever care about is jerking off and acting like the psychotic children you are.

And besides, even if you did come here to actually discuss shit, you're a fucking pleb for posting Priscilla Rich. There's a reason Barbara Minerva is THE Cheetah, cause the other three fucking suck.

Whats the name of the person who hurt you, user?

...

...

...

>Wonder Woman herself has a strange compassion for this enemy
Because Diana isn't a brooding edgelord, Bruce. Fuck off.

Cat lady or lady in a cat costume?

Cat lady
Emphasis on cat

You're just angry because Barbara got her powers from being molested by some topiary

Depends. Rich and Domaine are costumed, Minerva and Balesteros are transformations.

By the way, why the hell do some Wonder Rogues come in fours?
Four Cheetahs.
Four Silver Swans.
Four Red Panzers.
I'm waiting for a fourth Dr. Poison, and you could make an argument that there are four Dr. Cybers too.

The DC handling of cheetah has been bad for a long time.

Sometimes she's a credible threat to wonder woman. Other times she gets beaten by Catwoman. It's hard to take her seriously but I want to cause she's Cheetah.

At some point in New 52 there seemed to be a push to use Cheetah. Maybe DC was coming off success of two female villains gone "good" ish or chaotic neutral-- Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy, but they'd been basically popular for a while.

DC was pushing Cheetah. Johns had the right idea. Make her an A list super villain. Then she got moved to suicide squad and was misused and depowered but then she also just basically disappeared. I think Rucka's cheetah work felt very forced and redundant.

Do you prefer anthro cheetah or woman in a cheetah suit cheetah?

In the digital wonder woman weekly series cheetah has a few good appearances. I forgot the name of it tho.

Who knows? Maybe the movie's success will make non-WW writers start treating WW villains as credible threats.

hopefully. But it seems to be a problem that has plauged WW for a while. Villains on paper that should be good, but their power-levels and credibility go up and down so much. And it is something that has definitely been a huge problem with Cheetah, more so than a Circe or an ares.

I get what Rucka was doing, but the whole run is marred by his focus on "fixing" everything rather than just telling a story.

I am hoping Injustice 2 will also generate some more interest in Cheetah.

Wonder Woman 77 has an enjoyable cheetah arc.

Yeah that is a good way to put it. I'm so fustrated. I'm not actually a fan of WW. Partly because every writer wants to fix her as opposed to just write her and let the character speak.

Its like: reading WW in other comics, okay I'm starting to tolerate this.

New WW relaunch everything you know about the character has been wrong! Here's the secret history!

Every time! That's all she has been since about mid 2000s. Older WW, ironically older rucka/jimenez WW was better.

Cheetah suit, but I'd prefer if she still had powers anyway

Maybe if she wore a suit made from an avatar cheetah

...

>new Cheetah literally wears Minerva's skin
creepy

Well, Rucka came back specifically to establish WW's Rebirth status quo. So that was his focus right from the start. Add to that how he got screwed out of Wonder Woman Earth One, and I get the feeling he was VERY focused on doing HIS Wonder Woman (to the detriment of his writing).

cranky pls

Might have been the intention, but I don't feel like he really did much fixing besides reestablishing the "real" Amazons. The run was mostly just boring meandering.

Anthro I guess, more things to do with it also didn't Minerva kill Priscilla when she started trash talking her? Minerva and Snapper Carr was pretty cute.

While Cheetah does deserve a bit more exposure, I think Giganta is in bigger need of a push. The poor girl is only used to job and show how much stronger another character is half the time

And Killer Frost stole her boyfriend

Unfortunately, you can't talk about Giganta without things turning into a giantess fetish thread.

Right
Wrong

Cheetah, cheetah, cheetah, some woman in body paint, cheetah..... And now
The Cheetahmen.

What man in his perfect mind ditches potential deadly cuddles for certain frost kill bites?

And if we have 4 dr.psychos then we can have one complete person.

Another thing we can blame on Dr. Manhattan, I guess

Fursuit Cheetah is objectively terrible. However, I am constantly triggered by werecheetah's pointed ears.

I can't win.

Good, that means more Giganta for the rest of us.

What do you call a cat that cheats at poker?

What's this about?

A card shark.

A cheetah.

>not liking kitty ears
You and I are enemies now.

Anthro, with long, red hair. It needs a good mix between cheetah and human, too much of either makes the design fall apart
This is the sad truth, but I want a writer to try and do something interesting with her

She's supposed to be a cheetah!

Fuck now I'm in the same boat.

Kitty ears are cute! C U T E !

>Unfortunately

New 52 JL Cheetah is objectively sexiest Cheetah

Also r8 my waifus

terrible taste, my friend

but as long as you like them it's ok

Y-you too

Well, she's definitely going to be in Robinsons run, so there's that. Let's just hope she remains the same as how Simone wrote her.

Something about Doris that everyone forgets is that she's a mad scientist. This is a fundamental aspect of the character, yet it almost never comes up. She should be building giant robots and death rays, dammit!

Who is your favorite Cheetah?

I have a crush on leather costume Cheetah.

Reminder that Cheetahs are the only big cats that purr.

Cheetah is cool.

>This is a fundamental aspect of the character, yet it almost never comes up.
It would help if they actually gave her an origin before shoving her into various comics like she was Absorbing Man or the Wrecking Crew. They will probably change her origin to be daughter of a titan now.

Claudia Black Cheetah is the best shit.

I dont have much confidence in it considering Grail is also showing up and poor Doris is probably going to job AGAIN with little to no character backing her
>Everyone WW villain needs to be tied to Greek Myth
Fuck off with that. She doesnt need to be a former gorilla but keep her science

While it's kind of inconsistent that some artists give her a costume and others not, I like it either way. Even more if she starts with one and tears it off when mad enough.

Clearly Selina could punch through an elephant's skull.

Wonder Woman has lots of villain with potential:

Angle Man, Dr. Cyber, Queen Clea, Droctor Psycho, Giganta, Cheetah, Doctor Posion.

Shame nobody uses them.

...

>that time she tried to rape Wally

...

...

>just a nigga with a square ruler

Reminder that Cheetah's are the only big cats that are easy to domesticate

Is this going to end in porn?

That he stole from Darkseid.

Angleman is pretty powerful. He can bend the direction of all things, teleport, and twist gravity, so that you fall to the sky.

...

i know

i got to hang out with cheetah cubs years ago
those suckers are LOUD AS FUCK when they purr

I liked that the Steve Trevor special a few months ago brought back Eviless/Saturna and reimagined her as a necromancer.

I kinda miss the alien origin where she was actually from Saturn though. It would be neat if they could connect her to Saturn Girl's people from the 31st century

A good number of Wonder Woman villains need a revamp. Wonder if Silver Swan or Blue Snowman will ever turn up again?

Silver Swan probably will, I'd say she's about as an iconic Wonder Woman villain as Doctor Psycho or Doctor Cyber.

Blue Snowman probably won't be used in a serious capacity

The only Silver Swan I ever liked was Vanessa. Sure, she was just a brainwashed patsy, but I liked her design and the idea of one of Diana's perpetually discarded supporting cast members coming back as a bitter, broken villain because Diana failed them.

Plus, she was fucking savage.

Well if this were Marvel, they wouldnt hesitate to use a female character that dresses like a man

...

The thing about Vanessa is that she's basically Diana's Jimmy Olsen, which is why is so horrifying to see her turned into a villain, against her will no less.

You're right of course, the next time Silver Swan comes back, it needs to be her, cause, let's face it, she was the only one who was really that interesting.

>tfw you get replaced by a younger blonde

Wonder Woman is a dangerous predator and should be locked up!

...

I'm still salty about this. I love Frost but Ryan belongs with Giganta.

What ever happened to Wonder Girl after rebirth?

I'm sure she's fine!

Probably off somewhere with Kon, Bart, and the real Tim... Yep. They're all fine. Definitely fine.

No idea. Cassie just plain hasn't shown up yet, and I highly doubt anyone has any plans for her.

just benched probably for YJ Rebirth

>she gets beat by Catwoman

Any writer that has Catwoman beating Cheetah, is retarded, or has no clue how strong Cheetah is. That would be like the Joker beating Superman in a fist fight. It's just fucking ridiculous.

>Any writer that has Catwoman beating Cheetah, is retarded, or has no clue how strong Cheetah is.
Pretty sure that happened in Balent's run, so, yeah.

Rebirth Tim is basically real Tim

Read Detective Comics and ignore Lobdell's Teen Titans

>Doctor Cyber: A posthuman-upload, she is obsessed with transhuman development, leading her own criminal cult-corporation of deranged cyborgs - think SHODAN

>Doctor Posion: Grandchild of a japanese war-criminal, she is trying to understand the anatomy of all mystic creatures.

>Doctor Psycho: Killgrave without his charm

>Egg Fu: I did like Morrison's take, so I would stay with it.

>Angle Man: The son of a italian wizard, he uses the tool of his heritage to steal and gain fame - his artifact gives him power to shape all geometric forms and bend it to the 4-dimension

>Blue Snowman: A supervillain-fangirl

>Cheetah, after another humiliating defeat at the hands of Wonder Woman, vows to destroy her
>Becomes obsessed
>Keeps track of her movements, analyses her battles, collects all information she can about her
>Her hideout is covered in newspaper clippings and pictures of her
>Her first thought when she wakes up, and last thought before she sleeps, is about HER
>She fantasises about all the ways she will kill her, humiliate her, make her suffer as she has suffered.
>Over time, the fantasy changes.
>Now she imagines dominating her rival, of bending the amazon to her will, of making her beg for her touch.
>The daydreams get lewder and lewder, in all manner of ways.
>She can't stop thinking of her.
>Her stupid face, her annoying voice, her smooth, silky legs, her wide, firm hips...

>Oh no...

>These new feelings wont stop
>She wants to hurt her
>but also hold her...
>It's all to confusing. It makes her frustrated.
>She needs to hit something
>She goes on a crime spree.
>Stealing money, jewels, anything to take her mind off it
>off HER

>She's in the middle of a heist when...
>There she is
>That stupid, arrogant, beautiful look on her face
>This is all HER fault!
>The fight is savage, desperate, almost needy
>She manages to wrap her legs around her rivals waist, ready to claw her pretty eyes out, but...
>instead, she finds herself pressing her lips against the amazons...
>All is still, no one moves, no one breathes
>All that exists is the two of them.
>The criminal, the freak, the monster
>And her rival, her nemesis, her enemy...
>the woman she loves...

>The kiss ends, and they stare at each other, one in shock, the other in hopeful fear

>Cheetah opens her mouth, and says three words she never new she needed to say...
But this story will never be told...
Why live?

Gundra and the Valkyries should be another tribe of Amazons, like the Bana.

That gives her a connection to Diana, and a plot relevant reason for them to have conflict.
Maybe play up the cultural differences between the different tribes, the different gods they worship, just good old Amazons politics

She could just use a redesign, I say use something similar to Bruunhilde from Earth 10.

Costumed Cheetah a shit

...

...

I love cheetahs

Queen Clea should be a shared Wonder Woman and Aquaman villain. Johns wanted to have 7 different underwater kingdoms of Atlantis, so she could be queen of one of them, Venturia.

Maybe it could share the same physical plane as Themyscira, similar to how Xebel is in another dimension. Which would explain why she fights Diana specifically. Themyscira is an island after all and something has to fill the waters surrounding it

And they could give her one of those Atlantean relics, like the Scepter that Vulko used in Throne of Atlantis, instead of Arthur having to give up Neptune's Trident.

She definitely needs a redesign, between the golden boob plates, the weird head dress and the mini skirt nothing about her design really says Atlantean Queen.

Osira is really interesting to me because she and her husband remind me of the DCAU versions of Hawkman and Hawkgirl, a comic book take on "aliens who crash landed on earth who became worshiped as gods and helped build the Pyramids in Ancient Egypt."
Except instead of convoluted reincarnation nonsense like the Hawks she just slept for thousands of years

I want to see more of DC's take on ancient Egypt in a way that ties all of the various elements together. During her reign she could have interacted with the wizard Nabu, Prince Khufu, Teth-Adam, the Blue Beetle scarab, Metamorpho and whatever else they can think of.
I was actually looking up some Isis stuff and I noticed a cover where she used a power signature similar to Osira's. And making those two characters rivals seems like a potentially cool idea.

>Lex Luthor is just some bald guy who just happens to have Kryptonite
>Joker is just some guy who laughs and kills people
>Cheetah at one point was just some woman in a fucking onesie

Osira interests me as well, mostly because she has the whole peace through subjugation thing going on. Makes a nice contrast with Diana who wants world peace legit.

Also, not gonna lie, I would just straight up make her a goa'uld from Stargate.

Fuck off, I actually liked Priscilla.

Though I'd agree with you that Barbara's a better long-term Cheetah, there's just something that gets to me about a villain completely driven by bitterness and low self-esteem to the point of insanity. She could almost be Wondy's feminine equivalent to Two-Face if writers really wanted to push her, she's basically just an immensely pitiful fruit loop of a villainess, despite actually being fairly competent in her own right.
