Has anyone calculated how physically strong Steven is? For reference he..

>can pick up and put down a human like they're made of paper
>tore apart an arcade game in anger with his bare hands
>punches straight through the dashboard of a car
>carries around sound equipment that several adult men are needed to carry with ease
>survived being smashed into the ground by amethyst making a crater from like 40 feet into the air, and subsequently jumps out the debris, sending a huge rock that was on top of him flying
>picked up and threw a stone pillar about the size of a human being at high speeds at bismuth, it fucking explodes on impact

Is he in the several ton range?

He's going through Clark Kent style puberty

At the very start, he's just your average 12 year old. 11, if you count the fact his human aging slowed since then. Then he meets Connie and BAM. Testosterone + Gem Magic (Gemstosterone? Testosterstone?) has been causing him to spiral in both his physical and magical strength.

Short answer OP, it's the several tonne range easily, and it's only going to increase. Don't forget he literally superman jumped to try and save his dad.

>picked up and threw a stone pillar about the size of a human being at high speeds at bismuth, it fucking explodes on impact
the rock is slighty taller than he is, and a lot bulkier
for the sake of simplicity, i will assume that the rock was a 5ft cylinder 1 ft in diameter and made of granite
he threw it at great speeds, but still trackable with the naked eye
so we have a rock (0.5ft^2 x pi x 5ft = 3.59 cubic ft) with a density of 170lb per cubic foot
so the rock weights 610lbs

kinetic energy is 1/2 x M x V^2
lets say steven has a fairly good arm for his age, and throws it 100mph, which is the neighborhood of a world record for throwing a baseball
you get about 200,000 foot/lbs of kinetic energy or 27mega joules, or like being hit with a huge chunk of TNT

I think a lot of his strength feats can be attributed to him being able to manipulate gravity somehow - making things lighter to float with him. Punching through stuff is still super strength, but since Rose Quartz are heavily implied to be caretakers I would imagine they are made to be able to carry large materials and other gems from one place to the other, regardless of how heavy they might be.

Don't forget the stack of tires in the Sugalite episode

don't forget the fact that steven was able to tank the entire ocean falling right on top of him and co. with just his bubble shield in Ocean Gem. I am really curious about that
inb4 someone lazily slaps on "ocean-level" on him :

>Rose quartz
>Caretakers

Maybe in the respect that they're expected to guard locations. But Peridot herself pointed out that if you're a Quartz, you're a soldier.

Given all the abilities our Rose had, and assuming it applies to all Rose Quartzes, I'd wonder if RQs weren't Quartz soldiers designed to basically begin planetary occupations with lone-wolf operative kind of shit.

But being a guard for major locations might also make sense. (The ability to not just protect a location but potentially maintain/reinforce it and support other members of a garrison)

Could also be interesting to explain that it's why Rose ultimately rebelled: it's in the nature of a rose quartz to grow attached to a place they're assigned to.

You're absolutely right about the Quartz point, that was my bad.

The thing that makes zero sense to me in guard duty is the dream possession and world-wide emotional bond, especially because gems don't really care about emotion as a society. Maybe it was supposed to counter species that do, but humans weren't one of those at the time.

I see what you're saying with lone wolf operations though, that'd be interesting to see addressed.

I'm ashamed that I know where that gif comes from.

>Maybe it was supposed to counter species that do, but humans weren't one of those at the time

There were human civilizations at the time.

Rose Quartz we made to guard and take care of the humans at the Human Zoo. The Zoo houses the bunks for Quartz to dwell in and all the Rose Quartz were found bubbled there.

Better question. Has anyone calculated how physically fat and ugly Steven is?

He's definitely up there, clearly uglier than Sugar herself., but he's not a freakshow. I'd say .6 gary bueseys.

*were made

That fucked up nose is the biggest problem, the fat cheeks and the fro doesn't help either.

fucking white diamond you can't hide from me

Pink Diamond made all the Rose Quartz though.

but she's dead
for all we know, white diamond aka you could be a shitposter royale

Not as a threat to Gemkind, though. Humans we're almost a nonfactor in that war, as far as we know.

Before the Sound equipment and Bismuth fight and the Pillar chucking, an user calculated he could dead lift around 340 lb there was math an everything I have no idea if some one screen capped the post.

That makes sense tbph

>Pic unrelated
Who cares

Steven is probably Jessica Jones tier when it comes to durability and strength.

the force of the ocean would be proportional to the surface area of the bubble it was pushing against.

Steven was also able to push a huge rock without much effort, when Rhodonite and the Rutiles were struggling to budge it without his help. That should put his strength pretty high up even by Gem standards, especially considering that Rhodonite is half-Ruby, who are also fighter Gems who have super strength. Rhodonite should be even stronger than a regular Ruby, unless her fusion somehow makes her less than the sum of her parts rather than more.

Strength of plot

This is from that guy who does nothing but hypno blunt porn isn't it

How strong *are* Rubies? Garnet is probably the physically strongest of the CGs, but Sapphire is a rare, and presumably powerful, Gem. She also implies that being a perfect fusion makes he even stronger; current Garnet is probably way more powerful than cotton-candy Garnet was in The Answer.

The only feats of strength I can remember Rubies displaying are hitting home runs in Hit The Diamond (hard enough to set a baseball on fire (though that's likely more related to their fire abilities)) and destroying a restaurant table.

Rubies are garbage though. They're always sent in groups so they can fuse into into a larger and presumably useful soldier.

the strength that the plot allows

This, also he's a faggot, so his strength counts for nothing.

so basically red toddlers combine into one mega toddler
