On August 13th, 1521...

On August 13th, 1521, after 80 days of brave resistance to Spanish aggression against overwhelming firepower and terrifying weapons including biological Tenochtitlan was defeated. Their young leader, Cuauhtemoc was captured. He was lauded by the Spanish for his bravery but in keeping with European hypocrisy and barbarity was tortured when the gold of the capital didn’t measure up to their expectations.

It was kind of just beginning (really it was started when Europeans first landed on American soil), the barbarity that followed made the destruction of a capital as large and as technological advanced (if not more so) as any in Europe seem like a minor atrocity as the Indigenous peoples were nearly annihilated with a long and ugly history of atrocities that stretch right up until nearly the present day. To which there has been as much protest as their was amongst the Spanish during the early stages of their slaughter (de la Casas being one of the most notable).

Most of the time you here talk of the first peoples today, is either talk of removing or preventing their descendants from within borders that were their traditional homelands, borders which were the result of military conquest in defiance of any semblance of law or justice or issues among their descendants with alcohol or ‘roving bands of native gangs terrorizing Western cities’ in Canada as a direct result from their traditional structures of family and clan being almost smashed in Western conquest mostly in the search for mineral resources on which they unhappily in most cases were on top of. Similar to the roving bands of natives we had to massacre hundreds of years ago because they inconveniently lived on the lands we hoped to settle.

European rapacious quest for gold and land has largely morphed into the quest for energy reserves, fossil fuels.

The fires that burnt over Fort McMurray recently probably from a distance resembled the fires that burnt over Tenochtitlan nearly four centuries ago. However if were listening to the mainstream media in Canada, not a mention of them being a consequence of the rapacious quest for fossil fuels being a cause of that fire. It was more often than not blamed on ‘natural causes.’ As the burning of Tenochtitlan and the conquest of America was a result of ‘manifest destiny.’ Some things never change.

Long at the forefront of a quiet resistance (if you solely listen to the mainstream media) to the destruction of nature to which we and our descendants will be living with the consequences of are the peoples who have never given up, never completely acquiesced, often compromised, but never were completely defeated, the Cherokee, the Iroquois, the Objiwe, the Cree, the Maya, the Sioux, and many others. Brave warriors of the Earth whom are infused with the Spirit of Cuauhtemoc. The spirit of resistance against overwhelming odds.

>a capital as large and as technological advanced (if not more so) as any in Europe

Really?

Then how could they not defend themselves from a few Dagos who arrived on rickety boats?

>first peoples

Ah. You're a chug. Now it all makes sense.

*tips Listerine*

Biological weapons and guns.

>Biological weapons

You mean like Syphilis?
Or, are you speaking strictly of firewater?

>Hi-ya hi-ya hi-ya hi-ya
Awwwwww. You should get cancer you piece of shit.

Europe's rapid progress was driven by countless wars on the continent. Other less barbaric societies were easily destroyed by Europeans (later) because of this.

More like smallpox, flu and typhus

>less barbaric societies

Are you talking about Aztecs?

kek

The plague that initially wiped out the coastal Indian villages was started because Indians tortured a French sailor who had viral hepatitis.
Squanto, who translated for the pilgrims, was taken as a slave to France and was from one of these villages.
He stowed away on a ship blind for the new world and made it from Florida to MA first song every single village along the way deserted.

lmao

Cortez did nothing wrong.

They could never be advance.

The only beast of burden the Americas had was a lama for Christ sakes.

Stop meming

I've read several first hand encounters of the Aztec capital. It really was magnificent
>built ontop of a lake with canals everywhere, basically Venice on steroids
>Gold and precious jewels used to adorn public buildings and streets because people didn't horde it or use it for currency
>Stone masonry on par with the Romans, minus arches
>Enormous streets everywhere for huge religious ritual parades

The conquistadors thought they were nearing the gates to heaven the city was so nice. Too bad the Spanish hired all the Aztec's enemies in a 500 mile radius to siege the city, slaughter everyone, take everything of value, burn all religious artifacts and idols, burn all written literature except the Bible, burn all the priests alive for heresy, drain the fucking lake, demolish everything left, and build a Christian settlement on top the ruins that would some day become the shit hole megalopolis that is Mexico City. The Aztecs got utterly BTFO'd

They were doing fine, they weren't dumb and blind to progress like Africans, they would have gotten around any hurdles with enough time.

>More like smallpox, flu and typhus

Yeah. Those evil honkeys knew they were carrying diseases that would make them win.

That's how they also knew that chug whores were infected with syphilis and didn't fuck them and then go back to Europe with a disease that would run rampant.

That doesn't matter, though.
A technologically advanced, non-barbaric, society like the Aztecs would know how to deal with an outbreak of a new disease.

They didn't?

Well, fug. Maybe everyone was half-retarded 500 years ago.

How were they more advanced than European civilization? It says right there that the Spanish had firearms and they just had spears...

Work dogs were long used. Horses weren't a species that existed in the new world. There were ancestors of the modern equine that existed but were extinct 12,000 years before Europeans arrived.

Yeah, because people don't lie.
I want my cut from El Dorado.
Aside that, everything is right.

Europeans nearly got the same treatment by the Mongols who had Chinese firearms but were saved by Genghis falling off a horse. Just saying.

Remind me, many hearts were torn out on top of a ziggurat on mainland Europe?

...

I'm sure the Mongols if they won would have told everyone how savage the Europeans were before they arrived.

>The only beast of burden the Americas had was a lama for Christ sakes.

You mean other than the horse, right?

Yes, user, horses evolved in North America.
They spread from there to Asia across the Bering Strait thousands of years ago.

There were native horses in the American continents when early humans arrived.

They either died because of changes in the climate, or, more likely, because the proto-humans who first settled here hunted them to extinction.

European colonists RE-introduced horses to the Americas around 500 years ago.

Think about that for a bit. Instead of trying to domesticate native horses, you eat them all; and, then, spend the next 10,000 years WALKING everywhere, until evil white men with beards show up and give you better horses again.

Central Americans invented the wheel thousands of years ago. They only used it for children’s toys until Europeans showed up on boats 500 years ago.

Squash, beans, avocados, peanuts, potatoes, and maize were all selectively bred in the americas and were far more calorically dense than wheat, yet prairie niggers still got the shit kicked out of them.

>Muh noble savage

Native Americans (a huge misnomer) weren't niggers. They just weren't prepared to meet people who considered war a sport.

But they already knew how to read and write their own language. All you did was teach them Spanish.

Like the Spaniards publiclly burned witches alive, tortured and murdered religious deserters, publicaly tortured and murdered their external/internal enemies all around the same time. Yet while exposing a belief that told you to turn the other cheek and love your enemies.

But your London Bridge and historical buildings hosted many many heads and body parts.

>the spaniards had guns

Kek

Gotta love this meme.

Listen here, buddies:

Guns were shit inaccurate weapons back then with a high reload time, easy to break and when you are months deep inside the jungle the ammunition and gunpowder runs out pretty fast.

Guns were useful in Europe because they faced heavy armored soldiers, against the native americans who barely had any armor they were more of a burden than anything, they were barely used, it's an historical meme.

The crossbow was more used in the conquest of the Americas than the arquebus of the time.

But the real weapon of mass destruction were the horses.

And of course the superior military knowledge and discipline of the Spaniards.

By the time they were conquering the Aztec Empire, Spain was defeating France in the Italian wars, they were dominating everywhere, not only against "savages" because muh technological superiority.

PS: War Doges were good too.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Legend

Nobody cares pocahontas

>All you did was teach them Spanish.

Fernando only taught them Spanish after kicking the shit out of them.

>Spaniards publiclly burned witches alive, tortured and murdered religious deserters, publicaly tortured and murdered their external/internal enemies all around the same time

So, your point is that the Spanish kicked the Aztecs asses while being filthy, degenerate savages themselves?

You're right!

Life isn't fair. Buy a fucking helmet.

Southamericans are one of the most catholic people i ever meet, they really swallowed the zombie jew pill.

Kek

>Considered war a sport.
If anything the Europeans considered war an art, and practiced it accordingly.
War, atleast for the aztecs was mostly waged for the purpose of gathering sacrifices and never really about defeating or killing your opponent because the Aztecs were so dominant they didnt have to worry about that.
When it came to warfare the Spainards and Aztecs were fighting in two different worlds, and the Aztecs just didnt have a chance.
Also its fun to note that if human sacrifice hadnt been a thing, the Spainiards probably wouldnt have been so keen on wiping them out, 1st hand sources show the Spainards being legitimatly freaked out about ripping hearts out and wearing peoples skin.

>If anything the Europeans considered war an art, and practiced it accordingly.

Well said.

>War, at least for the aztecs was mostly waged for the purpose of gathering sacrifices and never really about defeating or killing your opponent because the Aztecs were so dominant they didnt have to worry about that.

The Aztecs sucked sacrifices from the populations of neighboring tribes for hundreds of years.

They were closer to schoolyard bullies than conquerors.

If they'd ever thought of traveling a few hundred miles north or south, they would have had a real fight on their hands.

Sadly (for them) there was no need.

They had all the faggots they could ever want to bully within arms reach.

Hunger creates warriors, not abundance.

>he destruction of a capital as large and as technological advanced (if not more so) as any in Europe

LMAO

They had yet to invent the wheel you fuck.

Lol moron.

You dont know anything about the history of the Americas.

The first ones to arrive where the same as aussie abbos. They where later almost entirly wiped out. Later waves included diferent types of mongols blonde haired blue eyed europeans aka the cloud prople of Peru. Tests on arrow heads show some came from France so some likely crossed when the sea froze over. There is also the likely small wave of settlers from japan that created a tribe. Vikings also tried settling in the north and where wiped out. Romans and egyptions also somehow wound up there.

As with anywhere else the strong do as they can and the weak suffer what they must. Or the weak are meat and the strong do eat.

Every ethnic group or culture that originated from a single ethnic group throughout history has been in a constant struggle to survive and to destroy opposing ones.

>They had yet to invent the wheel you fuck.

No, you ignorant syrupsucking bastard.
Central Americans invented the wheel thousands of years ago.

They just didn't have a reason to use it.

Wheels just aren't that useful in a swamp, after you already ate all the possible beasts of burden.

If anything, their failure was having too much land to build on.

WTF Sup Forums no angry beaner thread . Angry beaner thread!!

It's quite hard to understand a worldview that demands sacrifice to keep the world going.
And its a shame that they did it, because if you remove the whole sacrifce part, the Aztecs werent that bad.
Their language, Nahuatl is supposed to be an amazing language, and produced a lot of poetry on part with European and Chinese, they had amazing craftsmen and artisans aswell, and while you say that they couldve traveled north, they had influence from west coast to east coast, which lead to a huge diversity of resources availible to them.
It fucking sucks that the Spanish killed their culture as hard as they did, if only because I wouldve liked to read more source material about them.
In the end though, if you put children on spikes to make them cry just so the rain god will understand that its water you need, someones gonna fuck your shit up.

Guns in this time were shit. Muskets were insanely inaccurate. Had hard time working when raining or alot of humidity. Were so heavy they needed a musket stand while firing. Then theres the long reload time. Indians were just dumb as niggers. There is no excuse for losing.

Get REKT noob

Don't romanticize these natives. FIlthy savages, to hell with them

>a capital as large and as technological advanced (if not more so) as any in Europe

How'd they lose in 3 months then LMAO

>Europe's rapid progress was driven by countless wars on the continent. Other less barbaric societies were easily destroyed by Europeans (later) because of this.
>Other less barbaric societies were easily destroyed by Europeans (later) because of this.
>Other less barbaric societies
>less barbaric
>less
>barbaric

You forget that the point of guns at this time was for moral effect and making full plate body armor useless on a big scale. It wasn't the guns killing potential that made them useful it was the fact the Aztecs had never came across something that creates a thunderous noise in the palms of someones hand

>16th century fashion and uniforms will never make a comeback

Why don't you just kill me now

>It's quite hard to understand a worldview that demands sacrifice to keep the world going.

C'mon, Sven. Euros did that shit as much as anyone else.

>if you remove the whole sacrifce part, the Aztecs werent that bad

They weren't 'bad', they were lazy.

To their own detriment.

>they had influence from west coast to east coast

In Central America, sure.
A few hundred miles north OR south were huge continents to conquer.

But, they had no need to do that.

Curiosity.
American natives invented far more than African natives ever attempted.

Curiosity, maybe? African blacks are the descendants of the parts of proto-humanity who chose to stay in Africa while others explored and populated the rest of the world.

Having the urge to see what's over the next mountain, even though you have enough to eat at home, is surely a beneficial trait.

The Spanish had help from other native people who hated the Aztecs because they were murderous, enslaving savages. Everything the whine about the Spanish doing, they did it as well.

>boo hoo why did a stronger people have to conquer a weaker people

>le good, pure native murican with WE WUZ™ technology against the evil spaniard

WE FLY HIGH

Great exchange.

My thoughts on the Spainards is that they spent nearly 800 years, between 711 and 1492, fighting each other and the Moors.

Aztecs didn't stand a chance. It's like yr Spainards were sent to a martial college for 1600 semester long degree in warfare versus the Aztecs public high school diploma in pugilism.

There are entire families named for the Gods, tools and buildings of War: Martinez from Mars, Alfaro from Watchtower, Banders from a war banner, Campo from the battlefield, Castillo from the castle, Arriola from a stone building or castle, Espinosa meaning in thorny or bristling with spears, Guerra literally war, Guerrero literally a warrior, lobo a predator, Machado an axe, Ochoa another wolf, Parades on who lives on the wall or behind a wall, Porras a club, Suero and Vela are bothold Germanic words for War, I am sure there are more.

The Spainards were the Force Recon of Europe in 1492-1600. How did the Aztecs stand a chance?
