All this year I'll be storytiming Punisher comics. Most of the focus will be on pre-Ennis era material, but there should be some Ennis era stuff at some point or another. Expect at least 1 story per week.
This week so far I've storytimed all The Punisher Back To School Specials (which you can read here: ), and yesterday I storytimed the first 6 issue arc on War Zone by Chuck Dixon and John Romita Jr. (which you can read here: ).
Today I'm storytiming the immediate follow-up to the War Zone arc.
Chuck Dixon is back as writer, and John Romita Jr. does the pencils for the first half of the arc before being replaced by some other guy (though JRjr does all the covers throughout the arc).
The plot is basically "the Carbones send 7 assassins to kill The Punisher because of what went down in the last arc". Simple as that. This is a rare example of a Punisher arc with a LARGE roster of villains that aren't faceless/nameless thugs. Microchip is still M.I.A. for those that need a reminder.
I completely forgot to mention this in the OP, but this arc also sees the debut of Lynn Michaels, who would go on to become a MAJOR player in The Punisher comics by the mid-90s.
