I liked him more than most comic book characters. Feels like a standard "oh hey, this character didn't take off, better murder them because he doesn't sell 3 separate issues a week."
Fuck, marvel feels worse than all those cartoons from so long ago because these characters get started with some arc in mind and then they abandon it or back burner it without giving it a proper conclusion. Mettle felt like a kid who could come in to his own and was just getting started with his hero career, and then "oops, sales aren't high enough and we need a shock death."
