what.
Seems pretty self-explanitory. Songs you want on the soundtrack based on the Zune that Yondu had for Quill.

I could also go for Rocky Raccoon. But Beatles are expensive so they could have a cover

remember that starlord's got a zune now, so he has music from up to what, 2010?
This needs to be the trailer song

hold on. so do the songs from GoG progress or are they all from a finite time period?
The first two mixtapes are from his mom so they are 1980 and down but he's got a Zune from Yondu so any time period is game now
Yeah, but it's likely they'll stick with the 70s/80s pop because that's the aesthetic of the MCU (and now comic) GotG.

I'm shocked this hasn't been in a film.
yeah but the songs themselves are from late 60s to mide late 70s
this is a solid suggestion
so this is by a band from the time period that GoG songs come from
time period of the songs that GoG songs are from
this would be great for a midnight sons movie
this could be a theme song for a villain, but it's from 1981, which might be too recent for the songs typically used for GoG
suite madame blue plays after that video, by the way. also a good one
It'd be great for staying in the early 2000s and dying.

yeah bone thugs in harmony's song "crossroads" would be great with what you just said too
also this

It's from the right time period and everything. A lot of praying mantis would be really good.

Some of their best songs are from their most recent album, but that came out last year so that's a no go. I know it would never happen, but some classic power metal would be fucking great in one of these movies, something along the lines of

And for the most obscure thing I would love to see, some Ashbury could be really cool.

God Ashbury is so good. Shame they only had two abums.
pretty much this album. came out in 1970s
never heard of ashbury or praying mantis before. this is really good. thanks user.
I'm lucky enough to have a friend who obsessively trawls obscure metal playlists to find the best stuff we never would have heard otherwise. Praying mantis is surprisingly still active, even though they've been around since the 70's. My favorite song of theirs is from their most recent album, which is this one.

oh shit this is sweet
this is not from 1979, that's just the title of the album
I think the deepest cut we can reasonably hope for is Blue Oyster Cult, MAYBE Budgie. BUt I doubt we're gonna get anything this obscure. Hell, even Wishbone Ash is too far down the rabbit hole to expect.
It was already used in that shitty Telltale game
A shame too since I really liked it

While I typically hate Neil Young's voice, I think a scene of an emotionally stunted Quill reflecting on Yondu and Ego set to this could be devestating.
