>81. SUPERGIRL #12 (DC
Wasn't this out of the top 100 for months? What's up with boost?

Wait, don't tell me it was because of the variant cover?

So, how many of the Marvel titles among the top 10 got a little help from Dobson?

>Buying Marvel comics

Why is it always the crossover events that sell the most? They're always horrible but people eat them up so they keep making them.

Batman>Marvel
And we back to normal, bois.

>don't tell me it was because of the variant cover
OK, I won't, but you already know the answer.

Because they're "important." People don't buy cape comics because of quality, they do it because "muh shared universe." The more something affects that shared universe, the more it'll sell regardless of quality.

>the variant cover?
What variant?

Fapping cover

>> 44. HARLEY QUINN #25 (DC)
>> 49. HARLEY QUINN #26 (DC)

HAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAAHA

That's around where she always is. I don't understand reacting.

She's actually around 38-44 rank, falling into 49 is something to laugh at

You can't look only at rank that far down because the chunk of 30-50k books is so large. She is grouped with the same ongoings. It's likely not significant.

I don't care though, would be good if she did start to fall out of favor. Maybe Palmiotti would go back to writing with Gray.

Jesus Christ, how the hell did those terrible Generations books did so well? The only good one was the Wolverine issue. The rest fucking SUCKED.

I've been following the book sales for months in this threads and I can tell that the falling is significant. The book must be selling below the 35k mark by now

thanks for showing up DC it's no fun winning if there are no losers and you guys are definitely losers

Regular bat issues about a flashback story beat a Marvel event. I wouldnt be laughing.

>X-Men already below Flash and Superman with Astonishing on the way
Called it, RessurXion barely even had the staying power of Rebirth.

>Spectacular DOA
Also called it

>Generations doing good
This I didn't count on but I'm not putting past Marvel overshipping these so let's see when the Dollar Ranks come out

>Spider-Men II, Edge of Venom Verse, Deadpool Kills Again flopping
Hilarious.

>Mister Miracle flopping
Not Hilarious, nut at least we can confirm that it's probably gonna be good though.

>Deathstroke still at Top 100 after already falling below a few months back
Ok, there might be a God still.

>Spider-Man RYV close to leaving Top 100
>YFW people though OnSlott's reign was over now that we have the "REAL" Peter Parker back
Pic Related

Artgerm took up cover duties for 12 onwards, he has a pretty big following I guess.

Yes, Batman sells. A Batman arc involving Joker and Riddler managed to top the month but the rest of DC(including other batman related spin offs) were smelling Marvel's ass. Considering DC seriously can't sell anything except Batman then I wouldn't be laughing either.

>5 Generations One shots
If you subtract 5 you'd get those rankings.

I'm guessing overshipping, but don't rule out nostalgia since OG Thor, Hulk, and Wolverine are there and they've been gone for a while.... well not for Hulk.

Deathstroke has been stable since the crossover. Move the monthly has helped.

Move TO monthly*

I'm retarded

Why do you keep baiting this? Other than Star Wars, none of those have staying power at all. Literally all of Marvel's offerings that wasn't an event have all fell down the Top Ten like a brick the month after. RessurXion is already below Superman same with Spectacular. Literally the only ongoings Marvel has that are above Superman is Astonishing X-Men which is already on the road to slide down, Inhumans which is definitely gonna bomb hard the next month, and Spider-Slott who looks like he's gonna be overtaken by The Flash now that he's already overtaken by Batwoman and Friends.

>Mister Miracle flopping
Just two days ago someone was arguing with me that Kong's name is a draw.

>Kong's
I don't know why my phone refuse to acknowledge the name *King.

King is sorta getting there. It's better than Omega Men's debut it did do better than the Jack Kirby one shots.

I thought you were just shitposting like Sup Forums

To be fair it sold out and it's heading for another printing and it did debut much better than all his previous comics save for Batman. But it's pretty telling that DC can't even get the hottest new writer in comics' new title to debut in the top 25 while Marvel can get any piece of shit in the top 5, even Iron Fist debuted at 5 and you can't argue that ti was live action boost because his show was universally panned.

99% of the market would kill for those numbers

But she's falling, every month she fall deeper into the rankings. It isn't good those numbers if the book can't maintain it

Over shipping.

Yeah, I am really surprised about Mister Miracle

How much Vision sold las year?

Marvel still do that? It would explain why some of their books still in top 100 despite the lack of interest.

>and you can't argue that ti was live action boost because his show was universally panned

Except we can because the FOC date on that #1 was before the reviews were released. Stores ordered because they expected a boost in interest because of Netflix. They did not know the show was shit at the time.

I think ultimately 20-30k range for most of the MM issues should be fine, but yeah that #1 you'd want to peak higher, at least 70k.

Yes the dollar and unit numbers are still too far off. They are definitely overshipping.

>falling ever month deeper into the rankings
She's been consistently between 30-50, only going above 40 if there's been a surge of big releases (Generations for this month). You've been laughing at her being somewhere near 40 for months user.

user , ALL titles fall month to month.

It's called standard attrition, unless you are Batman , that's the rule for absolutely every title on the Big 2

Indies also follow that rule, but there are exceptions like Saga and Walking dead

>Mister Miracle flopping
Well, at least it has done better than new order. I still don't understand why they thought it's good idea to give Nighwing a mini series.

Freaking Marvel. Why they keep getting away with it?

Advance reviews for the show came in before and everyone was outraged by the """whitewashing""" anyway.

actually, it did sell out. DC may have just lowballed how it was gonna do. More or less they're counting more on it being a trade seller..... plus only King books that flop are worth reading

>4. SECRET EMPIRE #10 (MAR)
Are marvelfags retarded?

Most people don't care about very early rumor stuff, the official review embargo did not lift until after the orders for the #1 were in.

And you see a bump in sales numbers for floppies because stores anticipate that their current readers will want to pick it up. It's not about those normies who care about race nonsense, those people get into comics with trades not floppies.

You mean MM? I know about that and the word of mouth seem to getting people interested in it.

I'm talking about New Order. I noticed a lack of interest from fans despite the forced controversy.

How good are the star wars books anyway? It's always on the top 10.

>Terrible
Okay.

Tumblords are actually hating how Dick is fascist here.... except I've read it and he's not really a fascist.

A Dick Elseworlds could have worked, but nothing about what they said made it seem appealing at all. And keeping the child's mother as a mystery to us was a mistake because you don't even get the shipper dollars.

Well, it's not like Tumblr make a big market of comic sales so I don't think that they are the reason on why fans aren't interested in it.

>> 8. GENERATIONS UNWORTHY THOR & MIGHTY THOR #1 (MAR)
Really? But it was so bad.

Thorfags love buying bad comics

Just checked the whole list, most of the generation books sold pretty well. Is this the power of #1 sales? Also why are people buying it when Marvel literally said they weren't doing " time travel shenanigans" for generations and then proceeded to do time travel shenanigans..

You're making it sound like she's having a total nose dive. She falls like 3-5 places from her original position, which can easily be explained with Marvel releasing another book to push her down some more.

>Most people don't care about very early rumor stuff
You might as well say nobody cares about reviews then. Those that do look up advance reviews too.

It's look like no matter how many times Marvel use the #1 cheap trick, their audience fall for it every single time.

Don't ask me why they are obsessed with #1 because I have no idea.

I hate how you idiots always tries to excuse the book shit-ass sales, "oh it's because it's Marvel and all those #1" "because the month have been slow/fast" "It is normal for that to happen". The fact is that the book have been losing readers more and more per month, it absolute failed at keeping the readers interested and enthusiasm and that's a fact. There's not other reason than the book being shit and hardly readable

It literally how books work. They sell less and less each month. The fact how it's staying on that ground far longer when most books have slid past it like hot butter is a testament to it.

>shit-ass sales
Aaaaalrighty then

There were a ton of Generations and other Marvel One-Shots this month to push it down in ranking. Unless you're privy to the actual sales figures, I don't see a big decline here.

But don't get me wrong that series is cancer and the creators should've been replaced years ago.

It's unsustainable.
A few years ago the last issue of a Marvel Event would have done numbers four times as big, been number one by a mile, in anticipation of what earth-shaking revelation would happen.
Now it's only good enough for #4.

Star Wars used to be neck-and-neck with Batman for biggest ongoing. Now Batman doubles it up nearly, no problem. (Even King's mediocre Batman!)

Generations and Legacy are dead on arrival. These were supposed to be chart-toppers. Care to guess how quickly the Legacy rebranding will wear off this fall? I bet the sales bump doesn't last more than 2-3 issues.

And every time Marvel shakes it up like this they risk losing more reader than they gain short term.

>entire marvel roster can't outsell Batman and his 90s-tier event comics

Inb4 le market share statistics

Eh, it's not good if you think about it, Marvel's big summer event got beaten by regular batbook and DC event and that the only time they can hit top ten is when they're releasing #1s or starwars. This brings the question if they can sustain this when they go back to their original numbering.

goddamnit user, you just made me fucking compile every single one of your "HAHA HARLEY IS GONNA DROP OUT THE TOP 50 NEXT MONTH FOR SURE POST" I hope you're fucking proud.

That's not how it works. That's on Diamond's end only. If Marvel wants to ship 15% extra copies of a Generations one-shot, Diamond will still count those copies toward the money share. Because Diamond is getting compensated from Marvel.

They started out good but have been terrible since summer '15. Main title sales have fallen off tremendously, but everything else is falling off faster so it still looks good.

>money share
Just the unit share. You're not wrong with your thinking though, the discounted copies do still pool in the dollar share full price.

>SHUT UP ABOUT "MS MARVEL", "SQUIRREL GIRL" and "MOON GIRL" SALES, Sup Forums!
>THEY SELL GREAT IN TRADE, Sup Forums! THEIR TPB'S ARE SECRETLY FLYING OFF THE SHELVES!

Not even ranked. Not ever ranked.

>Superman regularly outselling all X-Men titles.
Not since the early 1970s has this happened. Not in 40+ years?!!?

>2 events, one of them with 3 issues in the same month, cant outsell regular Batman issues

>multiple issues of 2 different Marvel events cant outsell regular Batman books
This is a phyrric victory at the very least. On top of that, Secret Empire is already over, so next month that list is gonna have even less Marvel on it.

Ms Marvel and Squirrel Girl do show up in the full-year bookscan lists. Moon Girl did last year too.

But Kamala does worse with every volume, so the excuse might be drying up.

And this being said, I think Kamala's floppies are still doing ok. Moon Girl and Squirrel Girl should just go full OGN but maybe Marvel just sees them like DC sees the Looney Tunes and Scooby Doo books and it doesn't matter.

King barely sells, user. They had to rescue his Omega Men comic from cancellation, Vision was selling very low.

Vision was around 18-20k which wasn't enough to get it cancelled the way the market has been in recent years. I'd agree that King isn't a draw though. Johns and Snyder are basically the only writers who can sell based on who they are.

I'm sure one day it's gonna FINALLY REALLY drop off the Top 50 next month user.

Good compilation, I give you that but the first lost ain't mine, I never said that at most I said that by the end of the year the book.would be below the 30k, I'm not stupid enough to think that the book would drop that fast in so little time

It's still at high 30s, it's possible for it to slip below 30K the next year though. It's still losing at minimum 1K an issue so it's not far-off. Speaking of losing, Action Comics apparently loses like around 500 units per issue at most, what the fuck. That's pretty steady.

Based Jurgens

Nice trips.

I'm guessing the majority doesn't follow all comic book news closely enough, and maybe even solicits, and thought the real characters were coming back? Also definitely overshipping.

>Batman plows everything again
How does he do it?

>Vision enjoyed healthy sales through it's publication
Based Marvel for keeping this GOAT series going while King's other comics have all died fast(except Batman because Batman). Truly Marvel is both good at sustaining sales for their smaller titles and outright putting out better product(Vision is still King's best). They have their faults with shit like Squirrel Girl and stuff but all in all BASED FUCKING MARVEL!

Tons of nerds buying multiple copies of each issue who think a comic with a print run north of 100k will appreciate in value.

>King's other comics have all died fast
user, don't make stuff up

BASED MARVEL

Spencer is that you?

that's you, it's alwyas you. Just be patient cause they're right, the sales are dropping at a rate of 800 by month more or less so someday.

> 60. MISTER MIRACLE #1 (DC)

The #1 DC meme is dead. Reboot soon.

There are stacks of them just sitting at my LCS. The numbers are really fucky this month. Marvel shipped 30% more books, but are only ahead by 7% in unit share

Art's shit

It's only like the first volumes of Ms. Marvel (the first, not the post-SW relaunched) and Squirrel Girl that "sell" anyway.

This piece of shit couldn't even be bothered to draw the pasta in a different way. He traced the pasta down to the single noodle.

Who the fuck did this? Was it Greg Land?

>Astonishing outselling the Priest Shithumans mini
WE DID IT X-BROS

Vader and Lando were great, everything else ranges from mediocre to shit.

>the book have been losing readers more and more per month
That's every single comic book ever, until the next event/crossover/reboot/creative team change.
