Sup Forums approved comics thread. #2

>Daily reminder that you are not white if you never read Tintin

Old thread was dying but there was still interest in the topic.

Did any comics change/influence your political views?

I always loved Thorgal, and the latest album are really good.

Also the idea that gods die if no one beilive in them anymore is perfect. (idea also found in Lanfeust)

Bumperino

The smurfs redpilled me on dindus.

Forgot pic : Manthor, one of the most interesting character of the Jolan saga

I forgot about that album. I wonder if they still sell those, or if it now considered "rayciss" to sell em.

El Mercenario had dragons and boobs and shit before it was cool.

>Did any comics change/influence your political views?
No joke, Watchmen made me realize it's possible to be 100% convinced you're doing the right thing and still be hated for it. Also redpilled me about (((media))) bias.
It's a pretty great for an American comic. It's only natural that it would be written by a British dude..

Lucien is not very known but it's hilarious

The Blue Tunics was a good one too. Better than any of the gay spiderman bullshit.

Oh shit, now I really need to read this. It's been on my to read list for fucking ever.

I myself can really recommend the Storm comics (drawn/painted by Don Lawrence) features a lot of multicultural alien/high fantasy societies where degeneracy is rampant. It probably directly prepped my mind to distrust multiculturalism.

I immediately recognize that greaser character from somewhere, but I never read the comics. Whats the premise?

Also Francobelgian pub culture

I remember that one, a relative had them. Rat's was another good old school comic.

Oh man, I forgot about this. Pretty good album.

Tuniques bleues was based.

Who /leonard/ here?

Oh man wasn't that madman ginger commander based on some real historical civil war commander?

The pointlessness of all the deaths he caused among his men really activated my almonds when I was a kid...

...

it's a group of greaser/punks living in Paris during the 80's it's very comfy

>Léonard
my dear friend, this serie was great 20 years ago.
Now it's fucking tired to death.

Cucaracha was something I waited for in every issue of Science & Vie Junior.

/leonard/ repping here, read them on a weekly basis when I still had a subscription to the (new) Eppo

this one triggered so many people.

...

...

Sounds good. My dad was a typical Dutch punk kid in the early 1980s + he loves bandes dessinees, I'll see if I can get my hands on one of those comics for him.

...

Foerster offers some dark shit, top tier of the fluid glacial team

Druuna

La guerre des conserves was hands down the best part of gaston lagaffe.

Capes and Claws.

...

>no one mentioned Calvin and Hobbes yet

What are those damn contracts even about?

Also, based Buck Dany.

Bilal's Nikopol Trilogy was pretty metal iirc.

FRANCE STRONK

The Hunting Party is fucking boss.

It was mentionned in the previous thread, C&H is obviously comfy as fuck

wasnt quite fond of the elder Jolan saga.
I prefered the son of the stars and the bow qt ones up to the climax of the maya empire.
But man lets make it simple i have red 1-25 and they are top tier
the rest not so.
I think growing up in best part of canada is really great since we got the best of north americans culture mixed with our own and the one from western europe.

...

Translation?

too many fucking Euro comics in this thread

I read shit like this from the UK when I was a kid in ireland. will never forget when UK pilots blew away a japper zero

"JON YOUR ANCESTORS, TOJO!"

I really need to reread them all.
Blutch was awesome back then and I didnt really liked chesterfield when I was "bluepilled".
I wonder how they have changed for me now

Don't forget redpilled. I wish I saved that one strip about special snowflakes and political correctness and the other one about sophistry. Not gonna lie those actually were babby's first redpill because I read em' when I was 10.

I don't remember reading his comics but Moebus always had a unique drawing style.

IIRC, it was mentioned once or twice in the comic that he wants to invest in the magazine. This would enable the magazine to become much bigger and more professional (I extrapolate from this that Lagaffe would be fired then). The contracts are needed to finalize the deal. My personal fan theory is that Lagaffe preventing the contracts from being signed is unintentionally ensuring that he won't be fired.

...

Omg I actually remember reading this but it was so much time ago.
Great BD tho, would recommend

...

Don't abbreviate it as C&H by the way. People could confuse it for that low effort art style trash webcomic.

...

...

...

first fap with manara and some pages of les technopères
Learned to read on this boy. tho feeeels
THis
And if I remember correctly, only Prunelle, Boulier and Fantasio are really pushing for the deal, I remember Spirou laughing happily at Lagaffe ruining the contract for any reason.

God bless the centres culturels français.

I don't mind colonialism as long as we have these. Tons of classic french books and all kinds of cult BDs.

>oriental cockroaches are our cousins.
>we used to visit them a lot...
>admiring their gastronomy...
>and their raffianted refined culture!
>But we failed to keep in touch for a few generations. After meeting up with them, we found out that they were...
>unrecognizable!
>banning everything!
>intractable! (stealing: one less limb!)
>(argh!! a recidivist thief!!) (Nah, just a grilled almond)
>And angry against everything!
>Angry against us! (What?) (We didn't do anything!)
>And the worst: their females disappeared! (Maybe that's why they're angry!)
>Nay! They were well-hidden in bags...
>So nobody would steal them! (It's crazy!)
>How can we find the oriental cockroaches of olden times? Their finesse? Their humor?
>Their gentleness? Their softness? (These honey dungs are excellent! Can I eat more?) (Of course!) [Thanksh]

Tell me Requiem isn't redpilled.
I dare you.

We wuz riding dragons and shit.

My favourite BD, shame Bilal is a socialist shill

>shame Bilal is a socialist shill

Skrotnisse o hans vänner.
Really redpilling. Kinda redpilled me about redpill

...

Aquablue

Asterix redpill me about my ancestors

I don't strongly recall the redpilled messages in it although I remember enjoying it as a kid.
Anything striking in particular?

...

I know people on Sup Forums love this but it's not that great.
Just retarded propaganda, even tho the drawings are good.

If I were you I'd rather read the Thorgal series (the first one aren't terrible tho)
More recently, there's all the BD made by Arleston. This guy is a fucking monster, he keeps making about 3 awesome BD each year.

Pic related: the best Thorgal

...

I barely remember anything from it, but i feel this vibe that they redpilled me about jews & hermits

huge redpill about marketing.
