The search warrant the FBI got was for Huma's computer, not Weiners. They've had the emails for weeks. Anything on Weiners computer was fair game because it was part of his criminal investigation. There's no need to get another warrant to look at legally obtained emails.

The FBI reviewed the Metadata for the last few weeks it's had the emails. Based on comparing Metadata alone they could have determined if the emails were duplicates of emails they've already analyzed. In taking such a risky step so sucrose to the election, it's clear that the emails are new and potentially fruitful.
You can cry victim all you want, but this is the price you pay when you nominate the subject of an active criminal investigation. She should have stepped aside after she was caught illegally deleting the subpoenaed emails.

It's not a matter of "reopening" an investigation. The FBI never once used that terminology. That is the result of shoddy reporting by the mainstream media.
What is happening is that they are looking into emails that may or may not be relevant for the case they looked at before. Calling it "reopening the investigation" is 100% pure media hype. The FBI has always said that if something else came up then they would look at it, and that hasn't changed.
