X-Men Gold (2013) Storytime

Not the current series, but the 50th anniversary issue from a few years back featuring (then) newly written stories from Chris Claremont, Stan Lee, Roy Thomas, Len Wein, and Fabian Nicieza. Enjoy.

Wait, I recognize all the other costumes, but what era is that Storm from?

...

Looks like Outback era with short hair.

The cover really has nothing to do with the stories, so I don't know.

Now for the Stan Lee part,

>Memphis to Tokyo

What.

...

They already had an X Men Gold?

They couldn't use another color for the latest one?

...

It was a one-shot special for the 50th anniversary.

RIP Len Wein

How fucking new are you?

X-Bump

The gates aren't solid you absolute lazy shit. Why would the character say what the building looked like then not show it.

...

And last, Nicieza.

I miss him, guys.

thanks

RIP Len ;---;

this cover is magnificent though

There are some rumors that Kitty/Logan was Claremont's original endgame. Who knows?

We looked back on 50 years of X-Men... now let's look forward to 50 years or so from now!

...

...

...

IDK, but I would guess that a lot of his endgame is what happened in X-Men Forever. Though there are some things I know he wanted that I don't think he put in that book. For instance:

-putting Jean and Logan together (lousy pairing if you ask me, but I think it was his ship)
-having Madelyn not be related to Jean and stay with Scott
-putting Psylocke back into her original body

...

I didn't read Forever, but from what I remember hearing about it; Sabretooth is Logan's father, Logan dies and Kitty gets his claws in some phasing mishap, Rogue and Nightcrawler switch powers, and Storm is deaged.

...

Hey look, it's Antifa.

There's two Storms in Forever, an evil Storm called Perfect Storm, and the younger one, who's good.

The end... or is it?

I'm more of a spiderfag and dcfag

Huh Claremont era X-Men.So hard to capture that magic.

Every fucking kid into comics in the 90's knew about the Gold and Blue teams. You must be legit underage or close to it not to know.

maybe. he had 20 years to get his story straight though

That was underwhelming.

This was legitimately better than anything we've gotten for years.

That's a good ending.

Simonsons too? Nice.

This is the X-Men I remember and miss terribly.

Not sure if the artist intended to make them solid or it just wound up looking that way how it was digitally inked and colored.

>Onslaught is coming
Oh Bastion

Uhm, okay?

I have never seen him do that

this looks like fanfic from a mentally ill shipper

>Logan sneaking up on their own people
>Charles and Lilandra
>Maddie with Scott, feeling like fish out of the water
Fuck, its been so long since I saw the Xmen written with correct characterizations. I mean, its 2 pages and the difference from current X-comic is very obvious.

This cover was perfect. Too bad Marvel specializes in wasting potentially good storylines.

that's not the german translation...

this was objectively bad

you've got it backwards. fascists are the bigots.

if that's bishop, he's missing his M tattoo

i think it's gateway, but they're calling him tempus

It's Bendis' black Elixir.
