>Collects coins and leaves them in organized piles >Clearly anxious when playing uno in episode 11 and Bojack is meant to play his turn >Bojack mentions at one point that she was "counting her teeth" in the bathroom
that was her just tripping out because of the drugs i had the same shit happened to me but with add pills
Brayden Cooper
>Collects coins and leaves them in organized piles Lots of people do this.
>Clearly anxious when playing uno in episode 11 and Bojack is meant to play his turn
She was literally on the verge of passing out due to malnutrition and was cognitively impaired for the same reason.
>Bojack mentions at one point that she was "counting her teeth" in the bathroom
Maybe this was another facet of her cognitive degradation caused by Beatrice spiking her drinks with slimming powder.
Jason Martin
What's wrong with collecting coins?
Nathaniel Martinez
If the father is significantly older i think theres a possibility of things like autism being more common?
Jayden Phillips
it was all side effects from the diet pills
Grayson Turner
>>Clearly anxious when playing uno That was the stuff in the coffee
Jose Reed
Literally tweaking.
How sheltered are you?
Benjamin Morales
what spectrum
Justin Myers
The light spectrum.
Mason Thompson
The artistic spectrum. She's going to be a painter when she grows up.
Logan Reed
Someone please tell me they hated her as much as I do
Eli Ramirez
you are on the spectrum for sure.
Kevin Cook
Why do you hate her?
Michael Gomez
As someone autistic I gotta say that's not enough evidence, those are merely quirks combined with being high, more chance of saying she shows signs of OCD, if you're that desperate to give her a diagnosis.
Lucas Peterson
>annoying voice >"endearing" quirk is being chubby >is completely boring and does nothing interesting >completely kills bojack's character development
Joseph Ward
>fed nonstop diet pills >still fat JUST
Gabriel Fisher
Dunno, but her name is cute. And while I don't like dumpy chubby girls, I would date her. Hollyhock a cute. Hey, what's going on with Bojack talking about himself weighing an absurd amount (he's like 220 or so, judging by his size and build)? Is that some "horses weigh a lot" thing?
Mason Howard
How long was she taking them? Realistically it would take months to see a significant difference in her appearance
Alexander Mitchell
OP here, your right I'm an idiot
it's a bit much to think that weight loss supplement could cause her to tweak out and be hospitalized tho
Bentley Carter
Yes. The joke is he's the weight of a real life horse despite being the same size as everyone else.
Bentley Robinson
I think she was on some strong amphetamines, not normal diet pills. And way to big a dose because Beatrice is a near mindless asshole and mixing a bunch into coffee
Henry Morris
They were amphetamines, not the shit you see in stores today.
Elijah Watson
Collecting coins isn't on the spectrum as much as sorting your french fries by size on the dinnerplate.
Adrian Hall
She does kind of lose weight
Cameron Moore
>>"endearing" quirk is being chubby >>completely kills bojack's character development What?
Nicholas Bailey
She was being drugged by Beatrice half the time. The diet pills were messing with her head.
Dominic Fisher
Yes.
Anthony Rodriguez
how did she inhereit beatrices diamond if shes not related to her by blood at all?
Cooper Nguyen
She gets it from her grandmother.
Julian Allen
I want to see her father's shitty childhood next season.
Zachary Baker
Jesus, I'm glad someone put this together, she lost a shit ton of weight to the point her pants are sagging.
Evan Reed
We could have assumed that was a lie based on him saying something similar to Henrietta, but when you bring it up like that maybe he really was telling the truth to Beatrice that one time. I wonder if she thought about that when she was carrying Hollyhock away.
Luis Richardson
I think the idea is he has an Oedipus Complex that attracts him to women that resemble his mother in some way.
Austin Parker
Bojack's smile at the end is so meaningful. He thinks that Hollyhock is going to cut him out of her life, as she has every right to do. He's not her dad and she was hospitalized while in his care. But instead she mentions that she's never had a brother, showing that she doesn't want to end their relationship - she wants it reinforced. Bojack realizes that even though he screwed up along the way, after 4 seasons and 50 in-universe years, he's finally done something good with his life, by himself, on purpose, and he's no longer alone.
Sebastian Watson
>hospitalized in his care >being Bojack's fault Hell no, keeping his mom with them was her idea.
Charles Lopez
How does she kill Bojack's character development?
Adrian Adams
...
Hudson Lewis
Sure. But consider it from Bojack's perspective. To him, she's just another person that he failed.
Christopher Myers
rip hollyhock's boobs
Asher Smith
those were old-timey ones bea had, i.e. amphetamines
Ethan Thompson
>>completely kills bojack's character development did we watch the same show
Christian Reyes
So hold on, what exactly were the diet pills? Were they like meth or something marketed in the 70's? How did gram get a tub?
Landon Perez
There called amphetamines kiddo
Lincoln Cox
Benzedrine. It was popular as a weight-loss supplement from the 30s through the late 60s, and some people still use it for that purpose today (under-the-table; no doctor would prescribe it for that).
Robert Hernandez
They were basically a primitive form of Adderall that were in diet pills and could be bought over the counter up until the 1960s in the USA.
Josiah Ortiz
>entire show is bojack seeking meaning and validation through external sources >season 3 has numerous hints that bojack needs to stop looking outside and start looking inside >ends with him losing everything and everyone, finally setting him up to being forced to find his own meaning >season 4 just goes lel I guess he can be kind of sad for an episode and then return to status quo >also it turns out he has a secret half-sister who's going to swoop in and give his life meaning >also ALSO, all his existential dread and search for meaning apparently meant nothing because it was just the bad fee fee fairy in his head, it has no basis in reality and is not a commentary on the emptiness of modern life NOPE, he's just a sad cartoon horse, why did you ever think it was anything more than that silly billy?
Nolan Long
Holy crap I can't believe I didn't notice this
Leo Garcia
did you somehow miss the entire point where he can be "better" without having to fix himself? He can move forward as a good person by making use of his shitty life experience rather than desperately fixating on the unrealistic expectation that he can just "undo" everything wrong with him. That was the entire point of fixing the summer home.
Jaxson Bennett
>season five will drop all character development in favor of DINSSLD DRAMPFT TWAWO SKOPPS

Jason Anderson
I agree that Bojack's character development this season wasn't significant and was kind of a let down considering the finale of season 3, but I don't think Hollyhock is specifically to blame for that, I think the show has just gone on too long. Mr. Peanutbutter and Diane are where they've always been, a vaguely unhappy marriage Diane isn't sure if she wants, the circumstances just got wackier. Todd didn't really do much that wasn't comedic and he didn't change much other than reaffirming what we were told last season; he is asexual-though to be fair I can't remember him doing much narrative significant since his play.
The only characters who really had any development are Princess Caroline and Beatrice, the former only getting sadder until she hits her low point with no resolution and the latter was a very minor character until this season. Season 4 was mostly comedic hi-jinks, Princess Caroline (which I thought was pretty good, but again she's really the only one who develops) and restating what we already know about the characters. I'm afraid the show as a whole is starting to go downhill, and it's not just one character's fault, it's just that you can only drag these character arcs on for so long. I still think it's a good show, to clarify, just not as good and I'm worried about where it will go next.
Gavin Perez
THICC to STICC
Xavier Miller
>Season 4 was mostly comedic hi-jinks It's funny that this is the case because I think it's also the least funny season by far. The gags almost universally came off as try-hard or just fucking stupid.
Angel Morales
Honestly they had no idea what to do with Todd in season 3, he was handled far better in this one and it made the asexual thing seem less like a desperate attempt to make him interesting this time
I liked Mr. Peanut Butter's gusto this season but yea they need to figure out what to do with him and Diane
Princess Caroline's the best character at this point imo
Tyler Adams
This It was literally explained in the next episode Jesus Sup Forums I think you're getting dumber
Bentley Hill
is there any porn of her yet is the better question.
Colton Clark
I NEED TO IMPREGNATE THIS HORSE

A black college student already did and bail on her.

DNP is a hell of a drug and does not require months. But not the kind of thing you'd be able to spike someone's drink without them noticing See yuki.la/fit/36504957
More likely is the amphetamines other anons suggested. That's a real thing too. What is it again? clen, yohimbine, amphetamine stack? I forget what the snappy name is.
Alexander Williams
It's literally amphetamines, they said it in the show.
Jesus Christ..
Adrian Young
Relax friend, I haven't had time to watch yet. Reading lightly to avoid spoilers Just wanted to correct some of user's misconceptions about diet pills Also reading about DNP is fascinating and terrifying (to me, at least)
Bentley Young
>grandmother Literally no relation to her. Hollyhock is the Horseman side plus the maid.
Angel Taylor
Butterscotch's mother had a diamond. That's what he means.
Julian Roberts
Even ruthie used it
Austin Hill
I guess he didn't lie about his mom having that, then. Bojack's mom mistrusted her husband too much, as she thought her husband lied about that when getting the maid to sleep with him.
Benjamin Mitchell
...
Dominic Baker
to be fair, his mom only got kicked out of the retirement home in the first place because of his idea to put on a live episode of horsin' around
but yeah, the hospitalization thing wasn't primarily his fault - I guess he just accepted the blame because so many other shitty things have been his fault that he now just assumes everything can be
reminds me of when he slept with emily and todd completely unloaded on him despite it being totally consensual, todd not wanting to sleep with emily anyway and bojack having even tried to wingman todd before that
Elijah Peterson
She was daughterfu material. Such a sweet girl.
John Long
Bojack's kinda Auburn, like Henrietta's hair, Butterscotch could have been telling the truth both times.
Easton Phillips
>Nine entire episodes about the shitty childhoods of nine very gay little boys. Can't you just read a David Sedaris book instead?

I know the point of it was that she left Bojack's life forever but I'd love to have her back

That's actually kind of beautifully tragic.
She thought every ill of her husband even the small, singular thing he was genuine about.
