Star Trek-I, I mean The Orville

South park is back to being great again though

>Reddit and memery

You can go back to your home boards.

>watching anything involving McFarlane
I rather get cancer.

It's really sad how shitty cartoon hiatuses are.

The first episode was dull as fuck though. I hope it'll get at least somehow better.

How do you judge a length of time in which nothing happens?
How can one length of time where nothing happens be better than the other?

it's true that he's the worst part of the show. But I'm happy we get palicki back now that she's off AoS

Anime. The steady stream of new content is actually kinda nice even if it leads to a dip in average quality.

I just got a second computer monitor, so I've been watching a ton of shit I missed, personally. Clone High is great, and I think I've only seen like 3 episodes of Pepperann. Why the fuck is it so hard to find a Twisted Tales of Felix torrent?

I'm rewatching Gargyles.

TTG

This, it's my new favorite show.

Unironically, I wish SU got some not-shitty, on model toys.

The first ep was bad. I hope s21 is the opposite of s20. S20 started ok and turned into a wreck.

But how will the toys be on model when the show isn't even on model?

Gonna level with you. I posted in the wrong thread.

Or OK KO! Lets Be Heroes

The amount of anime is pretty overwhelming. It's really hard to find the trurly great ones.

I haven't found a good new anime in years, it seems like everything is shit now, except for movies, there are still good movies coming out. Last series I found that was good was old, Black Lagoon

MAL ratings tend to be pretty spot on. 8 and above is a genuinely fantastic series that even non-anime fans would like. 7-8 is okay, but probably only something you'd like if you're already into anime. 6-7 is good if you like shitty fanservice series I gotta admit, sometimes i Just want to watch Maken-ki and anything below is not worth bothering with.

Haibane Renmei is my favorite series, and I haven't started it yet, but I've heard Made in Abyss is pretty good. That one's airing now. Heavy Object is one of my recent favorites.

the animes that come out each season aren't that many, the best you can do is watch the first ep of all of them and see what sticks, I'm sure you've got the time to do that since you post on Sup Forums, but if you want a recent good anime recommended I'd say Osomatsu-san is a really great comedy.

MAL is garbage, there's a lot of overrated shit in the 8 range

Aren't they also almost out of new episodes?

Anime's don't fill the funny + philosophical bill, but my top picks for something dystopian and philosophical are Darker than Black, Psycho Pass and Shinsekai Yori.

Top picks for things most like Rick and Morty in order are: (Hilarious, fucked up, scifi)
BOOK: Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse Five (Cat's Cradle can also be included here, especially the goddang ending)
BOOK: To the Slaughter (Doctor Who)
AUDIO (Doctor Who): The Chimes of Midnight
BOOK: Ubik by Phillip K Dick (Three Stigmata is technically the superior fucked up, plot tweests everywhere plot but it's not funny in many places although it does employ some black humour, it's mostly as depressing as fuck)

>doctor who
but live action sucks
I recommend Haiyore! Nyaruko-san, funny, harem/ecchi, with occasional blood, lovecraftian themes, doesn't take itself seriously and has pop culture references.

>recommending harem/ecchi

as if y'all waifufags wouldn't eat it up, also, checked

Gintama my friend.
New season will be 100% humor again.

>lovecraftian themes
you only recommended it so you can make that post here, didnt you?

I don't even know what you're talking about

see?
I can't stand this kind of weebshit

Instead watch Gintama

Different tastes, but it's fine. There's something for everyone, besides Gintama is cool.

>funny, harem/ecchi, with occasional blood, lovecraftian themes, doesn't take itself seriously and has pop culture references.
none of that sounds good, especially in an echi anime, the pop culture reference thing, which is bottom of the barrel when it comes to comedy, sounds especially awful.

Just look at Sup Forums's recommendations. Most of them are a decade old but they still hold up for the most part.

based sixtuples call weebshit on their bullshit

Thats because the industry began to fall apart a decade ago from people who want to make good stories WITH soft core porn to people who want to make money off of JUST soft core porn.

forming opinions based on hate of one person instead of actually watching it and forming an opinion on the object itself.

I hope you get cancer too user.

This

i'm waiting for the rest of the god damn tick to drop, don't know about the rest of you guys.

I hate ecchi.

That's completely fine and understandable user, have a nice day.

No.

>Even if it leads to a dip in over all quality
The average quantity is higher though.

Ill help if I can, user. What do you like besides Black Lagoon? Can you say what it was about BL, in specific, that you liked? What do you consider a dealbreaker in a show?

If I can get a sense of your tastes, maybe I can rec something similar.

But user, don't you see? You're meming right now.

They're only memes if you post them on Reddit. Duuuuuuuuh

you should stop watching south park

camp camp is getting 2 specials and OK KO is still airing.

My Little Pony

holy shit
damn dude
you sure showed those Rick and Morty guys

Is he writing/producing it? Because if he isn't, there's a possibility I can tolerate his starring in it.

I don't know about you, but I'm watching my backlog of cartoons Sup Forums said I just had to watch.

He's writing and producing, but its more American Dad then Family Guy, so take that as you will.

I thought the new south park was pretty good. It felt like classic south park.
>"b-but they touched on the current political climate!"
so? they always do that, in every season, it's south park.

>Clarence
That shit is worse than Reddit and Memey.

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei is great, if you're looking for funny+philosophical.
It's mostly talking and satire, but the topics are great, the insights are at times really on-point, and it's funny as fuck throughout, which keeps it from getting too much to handle.
Also, dark comedy, fucked up. Not much sci-fi. In fact, deliberately a bit retro. Made by Shaft before they swore off everything not Monogatari, so quite often weird for the sake of weird too.

Quite the opinion you got there, champ!
