Hey, let's make a magical girl show!

>Hey, let's make a magical girl show!
>I know, let's give the leader and cutest one no powers for an entire season!
Just what were the producers smoking that day?

They thought her being "the leader" would make up for it. It didn't.

At least they fixed it.

Doesn't she get super special 5th element power or something?

Yes, she gets energy powers that also makes her able to talk and manipulate anything that consumes electricity.

Her power in S1 was to make everyone else look cool in comparison.

It worked for Madoka

No it didn't. Madoka is shit.

was*

Usagi never managed to do anything but the kill move for almost the entire series.
The one time she uses her magic otherwise is in the R movie, and it was incredible.

They fixed it halfway through. Too little, too late.
And ugly... oh, wait. That's not a good thing either.

GET OFF MY BOARD YOU FAGGOTS

Guess I have to read this one again. I don't remember the story the mat well. And didn't the animation go way of the mark next to the comic!?

In English?

Go fuck yourself with a superman action figure.

>They fixed it halfway through. Too little, too late.

I mean, basically everything about the second half is better, it was made by a whole different creative team and directed by an actually competent individual.
But yes, you're right

No, I don't really agree. First season was quite good, it's just this one glaring issue that's really, really stupid. Season 2 is only marginally better.

It's quintessence, which is often thought of as the fifth element.

Did they ever release a complete series DVD for this?

bump

What did she do in the fights and such then?

No.

She gave oral support.

Lewd

>MY BOARD
Who died and made you king of the manchildren?

plans and ideas too, or only raised their hearts with speeches about not giving up?

They gave her a smoking hot mother though.

Smoking is a disgusting habit.

Not the cutest, though.

How the fuck am I supposed to read that!?

fuck off Sup Forums

...

Yeah but the issue with her is that you get second hand embarassment to the point where you can't watch the show anymore

Thanks, but I don't get it. What does thinking have to do with it?

I don't know, all I know is that I'm glad the small amount of porn she has is lesbian incest.

It's basically the same as saying, "You don't need to think about why. It just is."

But then you look at some of her porn and decide to watch the rest because you need some context.

I'm pretty sure she had powers in the comics.

Yeah but nobody cares about the comics compared to the cartoon. I mean just look at that pic you posted - not waifuable whatsoever.

No, I get that, I'm asking about the context. Because it doesn't seem to have to do with anything here.

boi

>W.I.T.C.H.
>My life as a teenage robot
>Totally Spies!

what's with Sup Forums trying to revive dead shows?

Only one of those shows is actually watchable tho

There are plenty of fights where other girls finish off the enemy.
But, at least Usagi has powers to speak of

You HAVE to go back.

If I remember, she was needed for the the other girls to change into their hero forms. She could also open and close portals to different worlds.

What amazing abilities! I'm sure they come in useful during fights.

the fuck is this

Oh yeah now I remember why I read this comic.

Wilhelmina "Will" Vandom from W.I.T.C.H.

Question isnĀ“t her element called Quintencese like the voltron show? Is the only two times I heard of it. it is something from D&D or from folklore?

>it is something from D&D or from folklore?

...

who /can-choose-a-favorite/ here? They're all literally too perfect.

I will go with Irma since she become stacked when she grows up.

I only read the comic in scans, did the magazine had complementary art?

Let's see here:
>meh
>HOT
>CUTE
>cute
>eh

that's from a short comic

>>meh
>>eh
see pic related and admit, they are both nice

Hey, I didn't say they were ugly. Just a definite tier below the others.

>I will go with Irma since she become stacked when she grows up.
Don't all of them? I mean, their costumes supposedly age them up, so I'm guessing that's what they would look like in a few years naturally.

Though admittedly you barely notice that in the cartoon, because their normal forms seem to be older to begin with - maybe it's just the art style?

Her powers were useful as shit in the comics. She brought her appliances to life when a storm knocked the power out.

Oh shit, I forgot about that. The writers forgot too, since she's never seen speaking with an electronic after a few issues.

>that chapter of the comic where Irma transforms to get into a club and turns the guy she was with into a frog after he tries putting the move on her in his car

I mean it's not like the appliances have any bearing on the plot. What are they gonna do, rip themselves off the walls and fight with Will?

I think is the artstyle. There is even an episode where Cornelia gets aged up in her normal clothes and is barely noticeable.

She is barely can do migic despite studing in a witch academia

She is defenitively the more developed of the five, or at least the one woth the most curvy proportions. Maybe her suit accetuated better her curves?

Eh, whatever. She may have the body, but Will definitely has the face.

>Quintencese
Quint - essence
It's the Fifth Element, dog -- what all material and motility precipitates from. It's the Fifth Ring in the book of five rings, the one that holds them all together.

>I will go with Irma since she become stacked when she grows up.
>when she grows up.

user, you're not supposed to like girls until they're 18. Didn't you get the memo?

This really seems like it could use a meme or two.

Why the fuck do they look 10 if they're actually 13/14?

It isn't unusual actually. This one got her powers at the end of the story, and the payoff is worth it.

see

make me

Seriously though, can you reference some cartoon or something? Not all of us watch anime, it's not fun if you don't know what you're talking about.

Okay, the best possible cartoon I can refer to is Star Chasers at best. And let me tell you. it is bad, so bad that it is bad, not so bad that it is good.

But I will still say Madoka is the most referenced, because it is the gold standard for writing this, "you have the power inside you all along" or the "the power is received by the MC at the last moment" and watching this thing is not going to take away your life, the whole series clocks under 3 hours

I don't watch anime, period. It's a 100% strict rule.

yes, yes, I understand you

Ridiculous anime is for plebs like me, while ridiculous comics is true elite with such patrician taste such as you

I don't read comics either, unless they're tie-ins with cartoons (and often not even then). Try again

Ohhh, sorry.

You're a special kind of retard. I'm sorry I didn't know. Next time, I'll type slower.

Not a retard, just a cartoonfag.

same thing

No it's not, fuck you. Cartoons are awesome.

Actually, both seasons got DVD releases, even with English-language audio, in some Eastern European countries.

Madoka was not formated like a traditional magical girl show.
You shut your whore mouth.

>mad that Sup Forums is brought up in a thread for a jap genre

This.
The ovas got it right but the show went overboard on her incompetence.

Just because they have more shows like that doesn't mean they own the genre, user. There are plenty of Western magical girl cartoons too.

I wish the comics had stayed more consistent because the first couple arcs the comics were pretty good.

>that pic
Why do many cartoons do the anime look better than actual anime? Fucking shit.

No, you don't.

Winx did the same thing. If I remember right.

To make it more obvious when they transform into their grown up forms.

I've been thinking about rewatching this show but I don't remember it being that good.

Opening theme song was great though:

youtube.com/watch?v=ldyraUyiU-A

Maybe but nobody gives a shit about Barbie Club.

Probably but the art and animation was so cheap that nobody stayed long enoug to make the conection.

>implying the writing was better

Disney fired the original creators as soon as they saw the comic was a success, before the first arc even came to a close. Disney was very reluctant of green-lighting the comic in the first place, and took multiple attempts by the group. They all hate Disney now.

Had to borrow copies from fujo fat friend in high-school.

But why?
