Manliness

Hey /pol

Maybe it's a subject more /fit for /r9k but I'll try anyway.
Long story short, I was raised by a single mother and only manly figure in my family was a Grandfather who was also mostly raised by his mother and war (he was kinda withdrawn and old so no much help from him anyway)
A lot of you guys probably had to learn how to be a man on your own so, please share your ways.
Getting independent and living on your own was a good start for me.
Would you recomend a good read/movie on the subject?

Start doing some olympic weightlifting.

>mfw thats my body type

Read One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey

>the long story is short
typical manlets

I was raised by a single mother and had no male father figure, other than the stories about Jesus Christ they always told you as a kid.
Then as an adult, I discovered National Socialism and the wise words of Adolf Hitler.
Somewhere between Jesus Christ and Adolf Hitler, is the perfect man.

Hangout with guys who are remotely manly. And just be utilitarian and dont complain about doing everything. Thats what it is to be man...
For the most part.

Stop overthinking and start caring less.
Do what has to be done no matter how tough it seems, start working out, start hittng on girls.
No books, find your own way, you may be late to the party but you'll manage.

This is a sad thread OP.

Break the conditioning, and start lifting weights.

Watch some manly guys and befriend them, mimic them.

like this guy said ; "dont complain about doing everything"

Break the conditioning and reinvent yourself.

I became what I am today when my father died.
Literally the most pivotal time in my life, wasn't growing up... but taking care of my father when he died from cancer and after he died I became a man.

What if I have shit tier genetics

>mom had me in her 30s and gave me autism
>dad was born prematurely to a teen mom
>dad is a beta and literally a cuck
>mom is part Jewish and a whore
>dad is weak and not a masculine figure

I was doomed from the start

Similar situation to yours.

I think being a man is about doing what you think is right and stand up for yourself. Also, work hard to get what you want and don't complain too much.

That's how I try to be.

Go workout and stop stuff your fat face with shit

most are 'remotely' manly unfortunatelly..
i mean mindset side more
yeah, I am visiting old relative and got a bit influenced by her mood and that got me to thinking too much

Batman Begins

If you are not a man after absorbing the values and nuances from role models in these films I would say you can't be saved. Notice how the recurring theme of all great movies involve bitch management schemes.

All of the advice given here sucks ass. OP all they are telling you is how you can mimic being a man, not how to actually become one. Listen, if you want to be a man you need to find something or someone to protect or give your all to. Be it a business, wife, kids, etc. that want to provide will cause you to show manly characteristics like being aloof or heavy handed or some other shit faggot homosexuals masturbate to late at night

Meditations by Marcus Aurelius

That was actually what I told him, I became a man taking care of my father when he was dying.

I literally feel like I absorbed all his power like in the highlander or some shit.

When he died I was literally a different person.

Watch this somewhere if you can.

>something between an hippie jew and a german national socialist is the perfect man
No shit sherlock
I'd add Hans Hellmut Kirst novels. He was a former Wermatch soldier. His most famous characters, Gefreiter Asch, is basically anti-nazi because the actual nazis are manlets that need to kill or bully others to be feel mens. He's a pacifist but absolutely not how we mean it in 2016. There's even an honorable nazi, Oberleutnant Wedelmann

Seconding this.

>At dawn, when you have trouble getting out of bed, tell yourself: 'I have to go to work — as a human being. What do I have to complain of, if I'm going to do what I was born for — the things I was brought into the world to do? Or is this what I was created for? To huddle under the blankets and stay warm?'

— But it's nicer in here ...

>So you were born to feel 'nice'? Instead of doing things and experiencing them? Don't you see the plants, the birds, the ants and spiders and bees going about their individual tasks, putting the world in order, as best they can? And you're not willing to do your job as a human being? Why aren't you running to do what your nature demands?

— But we have to sleep sometime ...

>Agreed. But nature set a limit on that — as it did on eating and drinking. And you're over the limit. You've had more than enough of that. But not of working. There you're still below your quota.

>You don't love yourself enough. Or you'd love your nature too, and what it demands of you. People who love what they do wear themselves down doing it, they even forget to wash or eat. Do you have less respect for your own nature than the engraver does for engraving, the dancer for the dance, the miser for money or the social climber for status? When they're really possessed by what they do, they'd rather stop eating and sleeping than give up practicing their arts.

>Is helping others less valuable to you? Not worth your effort?

Then learn what you hate about your genes and upbringing and strive to be different. It's actually somewhat convenient that you have such stark differences that you can decide to be the exact opposite. Start lifting and over time you will gradually change yourself just as you do your body. Lifting usually helps make you more confident as well
