It's moments like this that make me really like supes, his genuine care for his friends/others and a slightly sillier disposition with his family and loved ones. Same with bats here showing that he's more than an unkillable asspulling meme, but an actual character with troubles and emotional conflict that helps us understand his drive. Why do comics and adaptations have to be so edgy these days, I miss campy, fun, and heartwarming superhero stories, you can still have emotional depth, maturing, and interesting characters without the visuals aesthetic being that of a fucking abandoned warehouse. Superheroes are supposed to show us the best of humanity and what we should strive to be, not some pseudo-intellectual interpretation of the world no doubt influenced by an 8th grade understanding of basic political philosophy. Where's the comfy? Where's the heart? Where's the heroes?
