1) Asteroids are found in space. When they enter Earth's atmosphere they're called meteors. It's a minor thing and pretty much the same as arguing over the use of lava over magma depending on it's location, but I thought I'd mention it.
2) The dinosaurs didn't die from the impact of the meteor, they died out due to climate change.
3) Birds survive the KT extinction. They are closely related to dinosaurs and may even be the descendants of Jurassic therapods.
4) Cavemen weren't around then. This occured 64 million years ago.
