I'm thinking of the scene in Watchmen where Joey rips up her girlfriend's feminist literature and says that she just wants to screw her because she's pretty; I'd say that fits the bill. I think in the absence of women "sexist" usually doesn't get thrown around, but a similar scene with a gay couple is easy to imagine.

In this case, the context of Beth looking to Rick for validation only to find that he's full of shit would have been a moment which revealed more about both characters and the nature of their relationship.
