Ever After High is very good, the show starts a little clunky but it's always pretty visually appealing and comfy, the mini episodes are charming and so are the movies.
I've never heard of Regal Academy, but after looking it up I can safely assume it likely came to exist because of Ever After High's popularity.

One thing I've noticed about EAH fans: if they support Apple they feel both sides have equal points and arguments and feel comprise is the true way to go for each side, if they support Raven they think Apple and the Royal are all completely in the wrong, awful people, should be punished, and don't deserve happily ever afters.

I like how the reboot of Monster High has the characters in hiding and not live in some weird alternate world with their own New York and Paris.
That seems to be the case. A lot of people think Apple is straight up evil. Mattel should've done a better job establishing how both sides are right, and that some people want to follow their destiny. The main problem stems from the character's lacking choice.
Even though Way Too Wonderland and Dragon Games have some sort of conclusion to the Royal vs. Rebel arc, it would've been great to see the characters lives are one they graduated.

I hated how the original set up the universe to have all these big monster locations around their world, but still say they're separated from humans, if the Monster High 'Anime' did anything right it was making the monster 'world' a literal separate plane of existence from the human world.
That being said, I don't really care for how small the reboot has made the world for the monsters, it's incredibly boring and makes for a lot of 'literally nothing' settings.

I have a theory that Monster High takes place in a post apocalyptic world. That would explain why everything is human like, but altered. The would explain why while humans did appear, it was only in one movie. Those humans were the only survivors of the apocalypse. That would also explain why everything is an altered version of a human thing I.e. Scaris, Hexico, New Gorleans, Fanghai, etc. That would explain why the humans even have that Trick or Treatment machine. They're scared of monsters and are prepared to kill them.
