List of failed Sup Forums OC collaborations

Did the JoJo thing fail? I feel it ran its course and died in a timely fashion

That is actually the list of positions I used on your mom.

Number 2....Arm drag!

Recently superthots or whatever the hell it was called.

It reached halfway through part 7.

>Thinking about asking faggots in a drawthread or webcomic general to help make my comic happen
>Got three arcs worth of written content, fleshed out designs, character biographies, and more ideas that I think are fun
>Even if I did manage to get an artist I like that can stick to the designs / style I had in mind and maintain a consistent schedule, the project is practically doomed based on Sup Forums's track record for flaking

I really don't know if I want to take the gamble of losing what I think is a good idea to the Sea of failed Sup Forumsllabs.

What do I do?

moss covered three handled family gredunza

just commission it if you actually have any kinda faith that it's good

>That is actually the list of positions I used on your mom.

Yeah, you tend to get results if you pay a percentage up front.

Maybe projects would get some of people would stop complaining about projects never getting done

That thinly veiled fetish one

Yeah, I suppose that'd work. Now I just gotta find a lower-end artist looking to make it big.

Look for artists who are outside the US. They usually work cheap and provide some good quality.

>looking to make it big
Don't get ahead of yourself now, friend-o.

>thinly veiled fetish one
Nigga, that's almost every Sup Forums project.

That black superheroine project was pure garbage. It was overrun by idea fags that only cared about their own interests. Plenty of people came in and wanted to contribute but they were basically told to work on other's ideas or just to leave. If anyone wanted to make it work they'd be better off leaving the thread and commissioning an artist to bring it to life.

Just find someone good and have patience and give them as much information as possible.. My fiancee took a commission from a guy wanting a 180 page comic done, the guy had the script done ahead of time and the guy paying for it had directions for panel layout and that makes it go much easier.

When has Sup Forums actually started a "project" project? Most of the time it's just random art or headcanons.

Sup Forumsco/ was a thing but it was more theory than anything else. Same with stuff like dork squad or the Ghoul School reboot.

>An Idea that's good "clean" fun.
>Person tries to put in their shitty fetish or deviantart tier plot/design.
>The rest of the anons don't like it and move forward.
>They sperg out and eat up the whole fucking thread.
>Sup Forumsblurddit bogeyman trio falseflagging to start shit.
>It's ruined.
Everytime.

Them, not me. I just want to tell fun stories. I'm saying it'd be nice to find an artist that's willing to go above and beyond to keep deadlines and provide excellent art to get recognized.

Thanks m8. I know /aco/ has some spare Russians lying around

>180 pages
How much did she charge? Can't imagine that kind of scale of work being cheap

I don't remember what she charged, but I know that she fell into the artist trap of undervaluing her work. Though the guy said he wanted to get his comic published and she'd get royalties on that. No telling if that'd happen.

For a colored comic of any reasonable quality you should expect to pay 35 dollars a page if not more.

Shitty bait thread. Everything is a failure because whenever you cite something faggots will just say "doesn't count".

that one comic project /hyw/ was collabing to do-then got fetishes and pandering thrown in, and then went nowhere. I'm still bitter
you know, for all the shit the Sup Forumsmplaints board gives actual media, you'd think they could at least finish one decent project

>people letting them have this much power over the thread in the first place
I blame you all

even more if they expect to resell it

ARMBAR

Those Earth 3 threads had some fun discussions. Can we do one of those each month on the 3rd?

what was the one Sup Forumslab that had a comic story of guys pirating in the future by turning everyone's cell phones into bots or something
It was black and white and super tense because the download was high stakes cause of draconian laws
and the punchline is that it was scat porn

>Any visual novel project

Boy, this one went south fast

The Danny Phantom VN, it got picked up by /aco/ though.

>Necro comes in with his own art piece

>immediately get's shit on for it because "NOT THICC ENOUGH HNNNGHH"

There was one about birds with swords in an adventure against owls with clockwork technology. I was invested in it and have no idea what happened. It just disappeared.

Because Sup Forums is the most incompetent, lazy and unimaginative board of all Sup Forums.

Go and check a drawthread, one moron behind another begging for the same shit, thread after thread.

I'd be up for that but you know we can't have nice things

I think if we regulate them to once a month, it should be okay. If we can have weekly Raven/Starfire/XJ9/cheesecake whatever threads, I think we can get away with this. Its not like we're trying to make them comics, or have a set goal, just pitch fun mirror earth shenanigans

>That time someone posted a screencap of the drawfags' discord about what they thoughts on the requests
>Janny had a meltdown and not only deleted the post, but the replies to said post and the replies of the replies

>Even fucking Sup Forums managed to get it's shit together to make a full dating sim
>Sup Forums can't even shit out a single fully made pilot comic

Its been infected by a guy spamming sailor moon and anime requests. Which Im not going to bitch about it, theres no point. Drawfags enable it and no one wants to come up with fresh ideas

CHICKENWING

Too many cooks. I'm pretty sure the amount of people who consider themselves writers on co outweighs the amount on Sup Forums -- This includes any prospective artists.

Either way the majority of Sup Forumsllabs are all tell and no show.
i remember coming up with that wrestledads bullshit and everybody thought it was the greatest idea since the discovery of bread

I'm told I'm a good writer, and want to get back into it more, but giving Sup Forums anything is more trouble than its worth. You maybe get 4 people to commend you, and the rest only give a damn if its something they can fap too. Plus, I cant draw worth a damn, and thats the only thing people care about on here.

even if we were given ONE small project, we'd all be circlejerkin' eachother off than get anything done.

Premiere Pulp had four issues IIRC.

Hell, even saying "too many writers" is a bit off the mark, the real issue is too many "idea's guys"
Everyone wants to be an ideas guys, but there's only a small handful of people who can actually write a full, consistent plot, and even less people who can actually draw shit and commit to a whole comic.

I know it's not a nice thing to say, but to be entirely honest a writer just doesn't have as much value as an artist, writing a decent story is way easier than drawing it, you have dozens of decent writers for every decent artist

Pre-production, and a good producer.

Nobody every does proper pre-production, nor do they give any creed to a person who can keep them on track.

Oh I take no offense to that, artist do get more appeal given. user sees a drawing he likes, he admires it, calls it a day or else begs for more. Writefag is lucky to get the time of day from anyone considering few are willing to actually sit down and read your shit. Take comic books for instance, its a visual medium where a lot of people drop it or pick it up depending on the line work

I was just about to mention that. I even made a thread asking about what actually happened afterwards.

>kneejerk project by a lone autist created just to trigger Sup Forums
>gets abandoned as soon as the Charlottesville thing dies down

Gee I wonder why

Don't forget that Chris Dorner game

That's the joke
