It probably will, though by extension it won't be nearly as memorable.
I feel bad for Mike Myers.
Literal kino
Illumination has literally never made a good movie
Didn't they make the Cat in the Hat movie with Mine Meyers? I think that was pretty good.
At least he has a job now in the Gong Show.
Given that bar it'd be almost impossible for it not to be, even if its terribly
Fucking Die!
Live action Cat in the Hat was shit.
Animated Cat in the Hat will also be shit, but for different reasons.
Why? He's not like Will Ferrell who can be good but gets put in shit comedies. He has like, three good roles to his name.
The live action movie is kino. And exposure to the memes beforehand enhanced the experience.
Ferrell still gets work, while The Love Guru was 9 years ago.
The Lorax could have been good. It's one of the biggest wastes of potential I've ever seen
Fuck you and your kino bullshit.
I didn't remember there was a cat in the hat movie until this thread
after his passion project that was the Love Guru, I feel no sympathy for him.
Cat In The Hat had a few good jokes in it, some being TOO good for this movie but it's still otherwordly horrible.
The infomercial, Universal Studios reference were especially gut busting.
Which jokes were too good for that shit?
First the grinch, now this.
Why do live action is way better than the animation when it comes to Dr. Seuss works?
Because Hollywood has to really go off-the-tracks to stretch a Dr. Seuss book into a feature length live-action film, whereas cartoons generally take less risks to ensure a safe profit.
They'd have to try pretty damn hard to be worse.
Lorax was alright, so they can probably make it passable.
It's memes are shit
