Whatever the majority's opinion of it is, I'm on the other side.

love it.

it's so different from all the other animated movies "for kids"

isn't this a nickelodeon funded movie?

Yes

...then why is it on CN?

It was weird.

fuck off shill. Why does it matter when or what channel it's on?

Simple: It's because [INSERT REASON].

In short, the film is phenomenal. It succeeds in about every measure possible. The CGI here is incredibly detailed and well-animated, perhaps far greater than anything released since. The studio behind the feature (Industrial Light & Magic) have been at the forefront of CG animation and special effects since the very beginning, and they are responsible for virtually every major innovation and notable use of CG in films (see: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Industrial_Light_&_Magic#Filmography). Pixar and Modern Disney owe everything to these guys. 10/10, best animated film. Would possibly watch again.

It's unquestionably my favourite CG animated movie, but I figure that has more to do with my love of westerns and the fact that its noticeably different from most of the other products on the market.

Jewish nepotism.

Love it. One of the weirdest animated movies in a long time, and even made in a unique way (the entire movie was filmed as a live-action stage-play and the animators then used the footage of the actors as inspiration and timing for the animation).

I just found out there's an extended cut

what the fuck, since when do animated movies get extended cuts?

Better than BvS.

This. Spanish dub is what I watched first. Thought both the movie and the dub would be bad and was proven wrong on both accounts.

>tfw watched this for the first time today

I wish I watched it when it first came out, that was heckin great.

My best gal.

It was one of those movies I expected to be shit that ended up being really good.

Bretty gud. I know Sup Forums is usually on the contrarian side but you'd be hard pressed to find even a few who doesn't like it.

9/10. Recommend.

Don't* autocorrect

-It was a great movie, love the comedy, characters, setting and music.

-I wish there was more scenes involving the frog piano player/dancer, Melonee.

-And Beans eyes remind of those lizard things from Dark Souls and I wish Jake squeezed her head til they popped out. Also, yes I know the eyes on the DS lizards aren't those HUGE ones.

Better than every Pixar movie except for maybe the Incredibles.

>tfw no good porn
>only gay shit with jake and rango

>since when do animated movies get extended cuts?

When test screenings convince bean counters to cut a bunch of shit.

...

...

Tell me about it

>Since it’s airing on CN now
Wasn't it produced by Nick?

Damn she's gorgeous.

not bad. Johnny Depp was actually pretty good. something about cutting his antics in half by only having his voice.

One of my favourite movies. Perfectly blends quirky out there humor with a grandeur epic western scenario and a real hero story.

They did acting/performing while recording some of the scenes I think.

It was a good movie. My favorite line in it is " What was that you said? "Pretty soon no one will believe you even existed.""

Loved that the bank held water rather than money

Rattlesnake Jake a best. A best.

Fuck yeah, goddamn Lee Van Cleef as a fucking murdersnake with a Gatling gun tail is baller as fuck.

>go to hell!
>where d'ya think I come from?
Chills.

It made me thirsty

It's the best western to come out in over 10 years.

i loved the guy poring alca seltzer into an empty glass and eating it

i also liked the audio commentary

One of my favorite animated movies, and I don't even like westerns usually. I watch it all the time and all of my friends hate it with a fiery passion.

There's a video compilation on YT of all his scenes, and it only runs for 6 minutes. How the hell does based Jake only have 6 minutes of screentime? Would have really loved to see more of him, the few scenes he was in were great

I don't want to sound sappy or sentimental, so I'll just say this movie made my life a whole lot easier during a rough patch.

What's there to say? It's a phenomenal movie.

I'm in this bizarro universe where an uncreative throwback to western tropes scaled down and given to CG funny animals is not only universally loved by hipsters but woefully undersells any creative potential it could have had despite being praised for its creativity. It's also the fastest and noisiest movie I've ever watched that attempts to call back to a genre well known for being slow in pace.

As an anthro and Western fanboy, I should love this movie up and down, but I don't, and that kind of hurts.

One of my favorite movies.
But I often forget about it.
I think that says more about me than the movie, but yeah.

mine!

same

So... Hellboy Effect?

So... Hellboy Effect?

I felt Jake had just enough screen time.

You saw how feared he was, how threatening his presence is, and then you got to see a bit of character when he fucked off after Rango saved everyone.

I absolutely loved that 'one bullet' thing.

>that tiny mustache

Why did I find the snake so hot, I did not ask for this.

It's the sort of movie that will probably look pretty good even in twenty years.

Great movie and possibly the best western in recent history.

The extended scene is just the town fucking around in their new giant pond renamed Mud, before Rango has to ride off because Bad Bill is shitting things up again. Nothing really important.

The plot is super generic.

Great movie, 9/10

Needed more waifus

>The extended scene is just the town fucking around in their new giant pond renamed Mud

Really? That scene was terrible.

It's probably why that whole scene was cut in the original release.

Girls love bad boys
