Shit cartoons with great themes

The song is so amazing, why's the show so dull?

It's just really formulaic and repetitive. Maybe season 2 will change that.

Another example, except this one is less dull and more... bad, and it's the ending theme that really stands out.

I just watch it for Cat Noir

>why's the show so dull?
Cause its only purpose is to sell toys, so they didn't really bother with plot.

>picture

What is that?

It was made by some ambitious entrepreneur who tried to be Saban.

>tried to be
You realize some of the people from that company were actually involved in this, right?

>calls ending theme good
>calls SVTFOE bad when it's one of the few currently running, plot-centric shows that has improved during its run

Improved shit is still shit.

Also some aspects of season 2 are worse than 1.

It's true though. Who does Zag think he is?

The show is complete shit, but at least it has a decent theme song.

I think the show's comfy, there's a charm to it.

That's not "charm" you're looking at there, user.

It will never stop bothering me that this spider design was wasted so badly

Looks like ass.

The song is amazing because as far as I know that chord progression isn't used too often outside of theme songs.
Off the top of my head, this is the only song that has a part that truly fits with the Miraculous theme, and it's only the fanfare hype part that matters.

The show is dull because it hasn't gone anywhere and the networks (especially Viacom in the US) screwed it backwards and tried to make reruns viewable independent of other episodes, as networks do nowadays, which is why we only began to get development at the end of season 1 (things like Chloe paying more attention to how she treats Sabrina, Gabriel noticing Adrien's ring, and the season finale).

...

>the fanfare hype part
Which part is that?
Also, what's the chord progression exactly? I want to know more about this type of stuff.

You know, the fanfare, the hype part. The DA DA DA DA
DADA DA DA DA part at the beginning and choruses uses the same vi → IV → ii → V as the Ladybug opening, I think with one extra chord midway through the measure where it hits the V.

The only other noteworthy song for me here is Say My Name
A bunch of these just happen to have that chord progression as part of a bigger one or midway between musical phrases or a transition or something though
This chord progression is, well... really good for hyping something up. I don't think I hear it very often, unless I'm not paying attention.

...im mad i missed those quads with this post but double dubs is fine

wouldn't necessarily say it's shit, but its not particularly great either.

theme is a fuckin' banger though.

This theme makes me sleepy. That's not a good thing.

>show about The Daltons is bad

How do you even mess this up? I'm genuinely curious.

The opening theme song sucks balls compared to the one in the trailer

Generally just in comparison to other Lucky Luke Cartoons I feel Les Daltons in particular falls flat. (Perhaps as I'm not too fond of the formulaic approach it rides on. Plus William and Jack being switched irks me)

I still like the show regardless however.

Isn't that just the full version of the actual intro?

That's just another part of the same song.
