>Look at us! Look at how meta and hip we are!
It's not funny anymore.

People making fun of politicians? No way. Its not like that hasn't been done for literally hundreds of years.;

This.
This shit goes back to Roosevelt, at least.

>cartoon depicts the current president

What's the problem here?

Because it triggers the Sup Forumsfags

NO, NOT MY GUMBALL, I THOUGHT THEY WERE NAZIES LIKE ME! REEEEEEEEEE

Holy fuck guys it goes back further than that. The Romans were scratching images of senators fucking each other into the walls of the colosseum.

I missed Gumball when it wasn't memetic garbage
>b...b..but it would have been cancelled
Season 2 managed to get exciting without having to rely almost entirely on meta humor and so did half of season 3.

Shitposting unironically started in Rome

>Gumball makes fun of SJWs
Yeah, Gumball!

>Gumball makes fun of Drumpf
Why is Gumball so political and memetic?

>They found ancient graffiti in Pompei
pompeiana.org/Resources/Ancient/Graffiti from Pompeii.htm

>mfw conservatives were the snowflakes all along

I cringed when they did SJWs too. People had mental episodes when nuPPG did it but nobody bats an eye when Gumball does it.

youtube.com/watch?v=yQyTpPu0gvc

Wtf I hate Sesame Street now

HOW DARE YOU DEPICT THE PROFET TRUMP. KEK WILL SURELY DESTROY US NOW.
REEEEEEEEEEEEEE

>we thought what we were doing was new and with it
>we can't even make bread

>Epaphra, you are bald!

NuPPG is pretty annoying about it, also likes to reference dated memes.

Not the same thing as Gumball.

Who are you people even quoting?

No one seemed upset when Clinton was in Johnny Bravo.

Cavemen were probably smearing pictographic shitposts on rocks with mud (or shit).
Shitposting is at the heart of human communication.

Or Animaniacs

Well the show is allmost done anyway so why not go balls to wall there is nothing to loose

Trump deserves to be made fun of tho
Just because he's Trump

I wonder how many of those "deeply spiritual" cave paintings were just bored cavemen trying to improve their art.

New Yorker here. We've been making fun of him since the 70s.

This. It's really not a big deal, although to br honest, considering Gumball, I would've expected the president to look like some Washington/Lincoln knockoff. Bonus points if it was drawn in the style of a political cartoon.

Or Freakazoid.

>cartoon makes fun of current figures like all cartoons always since forever
>Sup Forums REEEEEEES NOT MUH DADDY HOW DARE YOU SAY ANYTHING MEAN ABOUT MUH DADDY WAAAAAHHH I NEED MUH SAFE SPACE

>gumball
They still make that crap? It was never funny.

if trump didn't want to be made fun of he should have been a good person like obama

We made fun of Trump before he was even president
Why would we stop now?

I wish Trump would fucking go away. Like just him and his entire family just one day decide to become recluses.

I’m sick of their name and his face. I’m only pissed Clinton didn’t win because now I have to put up with 4 years of this shit.

I’m glad the Obamas were classy enough people to stay out the spotlight.

Good point.

Consider what art today is intact.
My guess its 50% religion, 30% power display, 15% pure fetishism and maybe 5% shitposting.

Guess what we can find today is either religion or power display. I think that these venus statues are religion waifu material. So its rather rare that we find early human shitposting.

There was a Sup Forumsack here the other day who got pissed and said it was illegal to post pics of superheroes punching Blumpf.

Fucking babies.

>sees clip
>he has a Southern accent
>no Trump mannerism
They literally just took the design? lame. If they are gonna do it they should go all the way.

I just want one single cave painting of a guy fucking a buffalo-man. Just one.

Dont have a horse in this race but snowflake doesnt mean what you think it means.

Its not "crybaby", its "im special and unique where is my participation trophy"

He could be an amalgamation of presidents.

How many currently-airing cartoons have ACTUALLY featured Trump as the president? Even Rick and Morty said "lol no we're keeping the obama expy"

I don't think I've seen many, South Park is obviously an allusion but it's not actually Trump himself. I think most people just hate him so much they don't even want to animate his likeness even if to mock him. Gumball's crew are European, so that's a different story.

>Annoying about it
It happened two-three times and in one time scenes. This basically makes up most of the current season of TAWOG
>Dated memes
Didn't they dab a few episodes ago?

People now seem to also be using it to refer to someone's fragility, which may or may not be its original usage, but in either case, people are starting to use it that way now.

BECAUSE WE WON YOU CAN'T MAKE FUN OF US ANYMORE BECAUSE WE BEAT YOU

He’s like 74? Hopefully by next year the Presidency takes such a toll on him that he decides to become a real old man and stop hogging the spotlight so much.

How does that fat geriatric fuck have so much energy though. I’m 23 and he’s more lively than I am.

You know words change meaning all the time, right? Snowflake also refers to an easily offended person now.

Gay

>Stops being funny when they make fun of Trump
hmm

>4 years

Are you implying the Dems will win in 2020 ? Nobody can believe this.

Whats funny is that in the episode the guy is literally right in every way and the Wattersons chimp out and destroy the city thinking they're "helping" them because he wanted to buy up property and make Elmore less of a ghetto ridden dilapidated shithole.

This after the city had unanimously voted to kick them out to another state because they were committing too much crime and destruction.

Including caricatures of world leaders has been in cartoons since forever, calm your tits.

Corey Booker, my nigga. Screencap this.

Or Dwayne Johnson. I’d vote for him too.

He's right, just like in real life :^)

>WE
Yeah WE the hivemind as know 4chin

you're getting Kamala Harris and you know it

>make fun of Bill Clinton, JFK etc.
>lol yes

>make fun of Trump
>NOOOO NOT DLUMPF YOU FUCKING LEFTY SJWs

I don't really see the problem, people have been making fun of Trump for decades.

Elizabeth Warren or Kamala Harris probably.

>Gumball makes fun of SJWs

Haha this is awesome! Gumball is great.

>Makes fun of Trump

OMG WTF, TRIGGERED

This website is trash. Nuke it from orbit.

>Kamala Harris

Nah they won’t be stupid enough to put another useless woman up against Trump

R-Right?

Unlikely
Very few US presidents didn't win after they won once

If he manages to dodge the primaries rigging, he might have a chance to be against Trump.

Democrats didn't give a shit about blue collar workers. They won't vote for them.

>How many currently-airing cartoons have ACTUALLY featured Trump as the president? Even Rick and Morty said "lol no we're keeping the obama expy"

R&M isn't an Obama reference. Before Obama, there was this idea in media that in order to show that it was the near future you would have a "generic black president" whose main qualification tended to be a really classy/authoritative voice. Keith David, Lawrence Fishburn, Morgan Freeman, Danny Glover and their cheaper TV equivalents.

>>I don't think I've seen many, South Park is obviously an allusion but it's not actually Trump himself. I think most people just hate him so much they don't even want to animate his likeness even if to mock him. Gumball's crew are European, so that's a different story.

South Park has traditionally stayed away from the president, and even when they show them, they tend to not do much. Hell, back in the day EVERYONE was dumping on Bush to the point where Comedy Central had 2 shows about him (one live action and one animated). The Daily Show's bread and butter was also Bush's antics.

He only appeared in South Park like once, and they didn't really shit on him.

Question is, if this is some
>Chieftain gets fucked by a buffalo/gods
or
>Chieftain is like a bull and fucks his enemy
or
>the bullgod fucks the unworthy

Normally you depict the president in media when they're either a) likeable, i.e. Obama, b) dumb but entertaining, i.e. Bush. A president being hated by virtually everyone isn't something cartoonists are used to.

I hope they will push for Elisabeth Warren. It would be so funny.

It sure feels like some people are too upset about cartoons joking about someone who was the butt of some jokes since THE FUCKING 80'S.

You should all chill.

He wasn't really too much like how he is today. He was more a real estate tycoon

>person who has been a figure of public ridicule assumes office that invariably invites regular mockery
>people who put him there angry when he gets made fun of

Trumpets must all be like 19 to have this level of thinskinnedness about it.

STOP
FUCKING
MAKING
FUN
OF
US
SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP

>Democrats didn't give a shit about blue collar workers.

Stop pushing this dumbass meme. It was the dems that bailed out the auto industry during the crash, and those exact same workers that benefitted from not losing their jobs in the midwest went right to the booth on election day and voted for the guy with the (R) next to his name.

I should rephrase this. It's more like Real Estate Trump rather than POTUS Trump

The only thing keeping Dems from winning are the Dems themselves. There's always a chance that the people in charge of rigging the primaries will spontaneously combust in four years.

Nixon was more hated

The thing is that people arent making fun of Trump as much as melodramatically rallying against him and saying he's an evil meanie. No humor, just feelsies

I still don't think Bernie could have pulled it off, he's too Gommie for mainstream America to swallow.

>Nixon was more hated
I know a lot of old people who were young adults during Nixon's term and a lot of them say they just didn't pay attention to him. It's harder to keep track of politics when you don't have a constantly updating smart phone every minute of every day. Trump is easily more hated if only because more people pay attention to him. His approval ratings also speak for themselves.

Remind me who voted against coal ?
That vote cost hundreds of thousands of jobs in the Midwest . The democrats are all about pandering to minorities and SJWs. They turned against their voters base and they won't be relevant until at least 2024.

>Politics should only be in cartoons if they agree with my stance
It's funny because I hate this shit, but I also hated the Gumball SJW shit. It's fucking irritating and obnoxious.
But it seems like people on here only ever have a problem with it when it's "their side" being made fun of.

My ancestors

>I still don't think Bernie could have pulled it off
Against anyone other than Trump, I'd agree.
But with Trump as the opponent, conventional methods and conventional candidates clearly wasn't the solution.

Both felt out of the place and forced.

>Trumpets must all be like 19 to have this level of thinskinnedness about it.

Obama is the only president they've ever known and he was just such a chill guy who chose his words so well that the only thing you could really get pissed off at him for was crazy racist/secret muslim/liberal communist stuff.

Even with Bush, we all knew he MEANT WELL, but he got the reputation for being a bumbling fuckup. But he was still an all around nice guy who took the mocking well.

Even Clinton and Reagan had shitloads of jokes about them and took it all in stride.

But Trump is just... he can't take it. He's that guy who wants to be able to say whatever he wants to others, but can't take what he dishes out. He gets petty and acts like a jerk and just can't take criticism in the good natured way previous presidents have.

Aren't they still basically the same?

>waaaaaaaah

Didn't Hillary propose a plan to help train those workers into new jobs? Of course the stupid hicks can't thin 10 seconds into the future an instead chose to cling to dying industries.

Coal employs less people than Arby's. They didn't "turn against their voter base" by not pandering to a minority of coal workers and their dying industry. Hillary had a realistic plan of retraining them for jobs that'll still be around in 20 years. Republicans just offered another band-aid that won't fix the problem.

No, it means "Southerners opposed to the abolition of slavery". Using it in any other context is incorrect.

it was a Sup Forumsmblr falseflagging faggot like you

Exactly my point. Kids cartoons are no place for politics, full stop.
But people will only complain half the time, specifically the times when it's them being made fun of. It's fucking irritating.

He looks like the typical blonde blue eyed president depicted in 90% of media though?

There isn't enough coal left, no matter how much the Republicans lie to you.

>forced
look mommie i used the buzzword that means something's bad

Exactly. He's even obese like how most fictional American presidents are depicted.

Nixon was a GOAT president ahead of hs time

>But with Trump as the opponent, conventional methods and conventional candidates clearly wasn't the solution.

I liked Bernie, but offering him up against Trump- the guy who could make anyone look like a steaming pile of shit- was just asking for trouble.

Bernie benefited from the fact that pretty much nobody was going dirty on him. Nobody hacked/released his emails. None of his opponents called him a socialist/communist. None of his opponents attacked his age/health.
None of his opponents brought up the fact that he was atheist. None of his opponents really tried to slander him.

The Democratic top dogs may have preferred Hillary, but they were more interested in promoting her than they were in destroying Bernie.

Bernie had nowhere to go but down.

*SJWs are using it to project now.

This is from years before Trump entered the political realm. It's almost like he was a big celebrity with various catchphrases, quirks, and a distinctive look.

I mean, he hasn't actually be president all that long, and then it took a while for people to get a feel for what he's like as a president. I expect Trump to appear in cartoons more next year, and stick around for a bit after he leaves office.

Since 1900, 14 out of 18 presidents have won re-election (Not counting Ford, who wasn't elected to begin with). Trump has two major issues: Being generally unpopular, which doesn't really matter very much this early, and the fact that job growth was good for years before he took office (meaning we're already overdue for a recession), which matters a lot.

Trump has, imo, a 60% chance of winning re-election if he runs (which he might not; he's pretty old), and a significantly worse chance of holding on to Congress in 2020.

>The democrats are all about pandering
as opposed to the DEY TEK UR GUNZZZicans

have a (you)

meth

I hope that another mine collapses on them.

We remember the election differently. Clinton was a pretty nasty cunt about it.

The thing about Sanders was that he appealed to people. Many of the states that Clinton lost to Trump, she had also lost to Sanders. He had the blue collar crowd down, he knew what they wanted, he knew how to speak to them. He moved away from SJW distractions whenever he could, he rarely presented himself as being above his constituents.

I'm not saying it would have been easy. But Bernie had more of a chance than you're giving him credit for.
