I strongly suspect that the clip of Rey shaking is very misleading and not indicative of what we're going to see Snoke actually do in the movie. I'm not even convinced that clip is going to be in the movie as-is. Just a theory.
Also anything non-ESB about Crait. I 100% believe they are intentionally marketing Crait to look and feel like ESB, but the actual battle and scenes are going to be completely different beyond the initial presence of the Walkers. They're setting it up for maximum positive reception from fans, especially those sceptical of how unoriginal TFA was.

Nah, I have faith in Rian. He even joked about how he's spent the past two years remaking ESB just to piss people off. He is well aware, and so is Lucasfilm. Pablo was also very critical of TFA and its unoriginality. With JJ out of the mix with TLJ, it is very safe to assume that this is the one movie in the ST where they will try their hardest to do something unique.

JJ doesn't even want to make Star Wars.
He literally had to be asked TWICE, BOTH TIMES to do the ST movies. And he was Lucasfilms third choice for IX, they only settled for him once they were struggling to get a reliable director on board, so they went back to the guy that had already safely done a movie.
After the ST, JJ will be gone so we can take solace in that. They'll likely stick with their original plan of changing directors each time.
