I haven't been on Sup Forums that much lately but I just wanted to see if I could get some more info on this comic I saw around that got posted by some user once.
This webcomic called: Redd which seems to be made by Bum Rush comics and from further research appears to be defunct or not active. Either way I was wondering if you guys have any ways to see the archives or series as a whole to download for me and others to view perhaps. >muh virgin comic I'm just curious to the idea of a comic being left out to death on the web by a creator and salvaging the pieces.
Either way hope you guys know more about it since the web has very little info about it. Thanks

If you're going to be a baby about it, it's by Jack Cayless. he did that chimneyspeak comic. it's not that good. Last I heard he's trying to get some kind of lovecraftian game off the ground

Oh, yeah! I saw this before the guy doing it switched to porn. It was... interesting. Not everyone reacted well to it because there was clear fetish stuff going on, but it had a good premise.
Basically, Redd worked for a big corporation and did freelance "super hero" work, killing big monsters and the like. The catch was, it turned out she was actually killing other super heroes. Mainly people who had physically transformed, so they appeared monstrous, but who were doing their own honest work all the same. The corporation she worked for was in competition with the companies that hired the other heroes, and most of the killings took place in international waters.
At some point, she learns of this and then they go to a tropical island and wear swimsuits and take showers.
Although the comic had promise, it mired itself in cheesecake and fan service, severely hindering its pacing and ability to tell a story. Many pages were essentially just huge pin ups featuring our giant-titted protagonist in sexy poses. It was softcore pornography.

After further analysis of the info given by some fellow anons. in this thread. I've managed to obtain a part/mix of the Redd series and some others of that Chimneyspeak series (NSFW ahead and honestly not as good as I thought was gonna be, Redd's fanservice was better).
I am not sure if there is a first issue of the Redd series as this one doesn't seem to start with the beginning (doesn't read like it), will update if found.

I had done some digging recently. Post-Chimneyspeak he tried to start a subscription based webcomic hosting website, with Redd as one of the staple comics. It never got off the ground, and he has since sworn off the webcomic medium completely and instead is making some game by himself after his programmer left him.

Not sure if it lost, but there was a webcomic I read around 2007 about some animals who maybe went into the city at one point... I wish I remembered more of it, all I remember know is that it was a bit surreal and very fucked up. I think it was black and white.
Useless description, I know, but all I remember is that I used to read this at work one afternoon.
I can't even boot up my 2007 backups in a VM to check the browser history, because I read it at work.

Bit of background info:
Jack Cayless was the artist and writer of a steampunk, turn of the century comic called 'Chimneyspeak'. Once it started hemorrhaging fans, he rushed out an ending to it, then stopped doing anything with it in order to release Redd
However, while his pay model previous was paypal donations, as well as pure porn tie-in comicsI have most of them, Redd was locked entirely behind a paywall. On top of that, he aggressively marketed it everywhere, including here on Sup Forums.
It's....not all that good, though I think he was trying to reboot chimneyspeak for a while. I don't think that went anywhere either.

also, I think it mainly involved a cast of woodland animals (not furries), and at one point it had a big acid trip and killed off part of the cast.

I actually asked him what happened to the comic a couple of years ago on his tumblr. I got a short answer that revolved around laws in the UK concerning NSFW imagery he also hosted on his domain. Basically everything got taken down, and he didn't want to deal with whatever law was preventing him from selling his porn.

So Redd came after Chimneyspeak? If thats the case then he knew who his audience was, so why go from hardcore to softcore? Also why lock softcore shit behind a paywall if you know you're fans have been gained through smut? The only thing I can think of is maybe an attempt to be taken seriously as an artist and a storyteller.

yeah, the arts good, but the only place I see people talk about it is on Sup Forums whenever someone brings up Redd. which is like once every few months. Last I had heard he was pissy 'cause people weren't donating, but I'm not interested enough to actually research it.

People actually think this guy's stuff looks good? I could never stand this comic for the art, the giant eyes and eyelashes, fucked anatomy, and slimy-looking skin all look gross to me. I know we all have different tastes, but what's the appeal of this guy's stuff? Is it the boobs?

I do see sometimes the boobs as being quite annoying at times but honestly the concept as a comic was mostly of what got me interested. Some characters and designs could be vastly improved if the artist devotes to it I'm sure, it's just something that I haven't seen done for a girl with no arms and this cyber arm mechanic. If anatomy and skin texture would be fixed then comic would be better looking I'm sure, concept and idea is all there nevertheless.
