Still, the thing that bothered me most about that trailer is how weird it is for Yang to be thinking of Ruby while ignoring her to chase after her mother, shouldn't we have gotten a flash back to her in that forest instead? Also, if Ruby was that shit at hand to hand why on earth did she try and do against Mercury in volume 3? It's not wonder all he had to do is stick out his foot to stop her.
Yang's a pretty shitty teacher, she knocked Ruby out after that one hit and she was holding back on that.
The combat animation still bugs me. It feels like they're trying it make it look dynamic but all the movements go too fast, bodies stretch too much, and none of the movements feel like they have much weight behind them. Nothing really looks like it hurts.
