Musicians are leftists because music is about feeling and not thinking.
Go away evil dogger.
Just a passing thought: even though they're certainly lefties, Muse has a 10min song on their last album called "The Globalist" that uses nuclear war as a metaphor for open-borders globalism. Knowing them it's hard to believe, but the last 3 verses of the song are pretty unmistakable

classical and jazz
personally, where i'm at currently:
>Classical: Anton Bruckner, Verdi, Paul hindemith
>jazz: Bill Evans, Barry Harris (dis nigga still alive), Bud Powell
I actually think that this idea is too broad to really be true.
Yes, music is about feeling, but that doesn't mean it doesn't require thinking. If we assume the use of traditional western classical method of musical composition as the norm, then this notion is simply too fallicious.
Most music is written using tonal harmony (IV-V-I in classical, or "2-5-1" for jazz). Music is crafted and even improvised on the spot using this system that has been honed over centuries. Bill Evans, one of the most coveted Jazz pianists of all time, emphasizes this point in all his music; advanced harmonies, inner lines, avoidance of overlapping with bass player, advanced rhythmic syncopations, etc.
You see, when you watch and listen to these musicians do there thing; play and improvise with one another; while they use their intuition to be able to play on a fundamental level, they let their feelings guide them beyond such primitive and base theory to express themselves.
You can really see it on their faces. Take for example in the act of sex; when an individual (both men and women) are REALLY into fucking, it's tough to discern their faces; are they in pain or are they in deep pleasure? You'll notice that many musicians, especially in the Jazz realm (specifically the more advanced jazz musicans. personally I find many jazz players to be pretenders, same as classical musicians) will exhibit this type of behaviour.
