So the point being? Some of those certainly did some bashing of their own party as well. It just happens that some of the right wing shit is pretty damn easy to make fun off. So of course they're gonna pick those targets. The main problem, as I see it, is that comedians are far too keen to let us know their political beliefs at all. I don't know how Carson or Letterman or Dick Cavett voted and I don't care. John Oliver, back when he was in the UK, was funny but these days he's a long-winded whiny prick and all he does is oversimplify or mischaracterise issues and do an "adorable" confused/befuddled brit act.
