It's sad that Bojack will never achieve mainstream sucess and will never be a fraction as popular as something like Rick and Morty despite them both being great shows.

It barely gets any discussion here on Sup Forums and whenever I try to introduce it to my friends, they get turned off in the first episode by the talking animals. Normies really get turned off by it's furry design.

Feels bad that they will never be that popular outside a small fanbase.

Eh it's fine. Bojack fans are usually chill and I don't think we'd want a big fandom and all that's associated with it even if we could.

they're both very different shows at that, with very different audiences

I mean I feel a little bad for the creators. They are just forever going to be that niche "sad horse show" sitting at the corner of Netflix's up and growing library, gathering dust. And it's hard to find decent discussion about the show this days, not many people know about it. Even if I wanted to go to reddit.

It's not just Rick and morty. Compared Bojack to a ton of Netflix's original context, it's much less well known and yet I would argue that it's as good as anything as Netflix has ever produced. Certainly better then the various marvel TV series anyway

Rick and morty is so much better anyway. Bojack doesn't deserve any sucess

I agree but only because I really dislike the Jeff character.
Imagine if Jerry was the same complete fuck up but instead everything good happened to him and everyone loved the annoying shit he does.

This. I wouldn't want retards running into barns and feeding horses that aren't theirs beer. Or fucking about and then yelling "Toddfoolery! Suck a dick, dumbshits!"

Wanting a show to fail just because you want a small fandom is kinda sad for the creators and all the people who work on the show. And it's not like it has to have Rick and morty level of sucess, but as it is, it's really really niche even compared to other netflix originals.

>BoJackass Horseredditor

kys

>despite them both being great shows
Rick and Morty isn't even close to being as good as Bojack.
Bojack is on the same tier as Moral Orel.

>Wanting a show to fail
Nice reading comprehension, can you point out the specific part of my post where I said that?

>Bojack is on the same tier as Moral Orel.
no its not that nurse bendy scene alone will give you more feels then all of bojack

Orel was something special

OP, this is an echo chamber full of angry autistic screechers rejected by society. I don't know what you expected, but you should set your expectations lower.

Fine, wanting the show to be be less popular because you want a smaller fandom. I'm sure the many people who work on the show wouldn't mind a few more fans. As I have said, the show is really niche, even compared to some of it's Netflix siblings. Hell, compare it to many other cartoons, Star vs, Steven universe, Teen titans, Avatar, SJ, the venture bros

The fandom is tiny and you rarely find discussion even on reddit and Sup Forums.

UH its BoJack
get it right fuckers

I love Moral Orel and Bojack both and I think they're both well-written shows but Orel is next-tier.

What are you going on about? The only reason there aren't any threads is because all discussion for a new season gets exhausted in about a week since all the episodes drop at once. Plus, it's one of the most critically acclaimed shows on any format. It's doing fine. Stop being such a baby.

And that's bad because?

>gathering dust
nigga that show just had a third season

I like the show and want it to get the attention and popularity it deserves?
>Plus, it's one of the most critically acclaimed shows on any format. It's doing fine.

>He thinks being critically acclaimed means success.

How many "critically acclaimed" cartoons or movies struggle to even make it's budget back at the box office. It's a niche show with a small fanbase, that fails to generate any discussion in any other forum that I visit. Compared to other netflix originals. Hell, the only reason why it has so many seasons is because Netflix is fucking desperate for new original content and because it has to be fucking cheap to fund a show like Bojack.

This
Big fandoms suck ass. Comfy ones are the best.

Also, the nature of the release makes the discussion very dense as apposed to a weekly release where the discussion can last forever practically.

user, the show has 3 fucking seasons, it's getting a fourth, AND there's merchandise (funkopops, t shirts, posters, ect.). So what if it's niche? I have no idea what the fuck you're complaining about. Are you saying you want it on the level of some bullshit like Rick and Morty (the most hated and obnoxious fanbase as of now), family guy (small childen and people who don't speak english), or the small horse show? Have you ever considered it has so many seasons because people fucking WATCH and enjoy it? Is that not enough for you? you crybaby.

*four seasons and it's getting a fifth

I like to think that that's a good thing. I don't want the creators to get full of themselves and change the show according to odd definition or creed they have.

>4th season actually ended on a positive note
>BoJack was one of the only people whose live wasn't in ruins by the end of it

He deserves a happy ending. Doesn't he?

>Are you saying you want it on the level of some bullshit like Rick and Morty (the most hated and obnoxious fanbase as of now), family guy (small childen and people who don't speak english), or the small horse show?

Stop strawmanning. I didn't say that I wanted it to be on the same level as rick and morty, family guy or MLP. There's a middle ground. Like compare it to it's brothers, it's much much less popular then shows like stranger things, Narcos, mindhunter, house of cards etc.

I'm not saying that it has to be rick or morty or spongebob but a bigger audience for the show would be nice, say AT, venture bro or SJ level.

>Have you ever considered it has so many seasons because people fucking WATCH and enjoy it?

I already said that it has a small group of fans. But that's the thing, it's a really small fanbase. Why can't I wish for the show I like to have more success?

REMINDER THAT THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST CHARACTER IN THE FUCKING SHOW.

Do you think Ms. Bendy could've used a hug?

random question, would the show be better if Diane was a Dog like Mr Peanutbutter and not the only human female on the show?

You can wish for whatever you want, by the way all those netflix shows you mentioned were live action not animated, and even a show like Stranger Things has it's limits when it comes to true popularity. I have no idea why you think a show on an online media service like netflix would ever get as popluar as cartoons on a worldwide children's television network that reaches far more people, even taking into account how big streaming is. Why are you so upset about this? Some things just aren't meant go be, and in some ways going to netflix was a better idea than going on Cartoon Network, where it would probably get shoved to adult swim and get cancelled after two seasons.

I’ve noticed a lot more of the college-age girls I was friends with in high school talking about BoJack on Twitter lately. I think it is gaining popularity

She's already a bitch so it wouldn't change much.

It would be better if she wasn't in the show at all.

Meh, I do hate the fact that Rick & Morty became mainstream great deal, but Bojack is like that kind of shows I would have ignored in adult swim, I don't like it at all but I guess its because it's very niche, While R&M are very "simpsons-like".

That's fine. Why would you want that?

At least she has more going on than Todd's wacky antics this last season.

not at that moment but yeah

>More going on
>"Waaaaah you don't listen to me."
>"Waaaaah you listened to me and now I don't like what you did for me."
>"Waaaaah I'm unhappy even though I leech off of everything Mr. Peanutbutter does and still have the nerve to act as if I had any part in his success."
No.

>"Waaaaah you don't listen to me."
She said she doesn't like big flashy shit meant to impress her
>"Waaaaah you listened to me and now I don't like what you did for me."
It was big flashy shit, and he half-assed it by not even getting real books
>"Waaaaah I'm unhappy even though I leech off of everything Mr. Peanutbutter does and still have the nerve to act as if I had any part in his success."
When does she ever act like she's part of his success?

>Went through the effort of getting her a mini library made specifically for her
>Half-assed
If you manage to get 5000 real books in a matter of days be my guest.
As for the success. I mean his lifestyle in general. The instant she moves in, she immediately acts like the house always belonged to her, bossing people around and basically acting like a controlling bitch. She never did anything to get Mr. Peanutbutter where he is but she sure as hell acts like she owns the guy.
And as for the big flashy shit, I honestly don't remember her saying that before that scene, so if you actually know which scene it was she said that just tell me. Still I guess buying a completely new house and living in a mansion before that isn't big or flashy enough for her because she sure didn't have a problem with that.

>If you manage to get 5000 real books in a matter of days be my guest.
I guarantee you it's easier to get 5000 real books than it is to have 5000 BLANK books printed up. Plus, he got all those colanders that fast.

>And as for the big flashy shit, I honestly don't remember her saying that before that scene, so if you actually know which scene it was she said that just tell me

At her birthday party, the last time he tried to build her a ball room.

I'm sorry but it really isn't. The guy's an actor, getting props like fake books is definitely way easier in that short time period. You are delusional if you think he has time to buy 5000 different books in that time period, specially ones she likes.

>Feels bad that they will never be that popular outside a small fanbase.
delusional. bh is advertised on the front of the most popular media platform in the world. millions of people have watched it, it's quintessentially normalfag-core.

It was literally one day. If we're gonna pretend it was actually possible to completely renovate a room in the time it took them to drive over the next day, we can acknowledge that Amazon 1 day shipping is a thing.

>It's more likely that he bought 5000 different books than it is to buy the same 5000 fake books
Made me think

>nb4 bojack fans start doing "bojack" heroine

It's clearly not the same book.

>All bland books
>Couple of different cover colors
>Still somehow harder to get than 5000 different books with things written in them

blank*

She said it during the first season when BoJack stole Hollywoo's 'D' and Pb pretended he did it for Dianne.

I think Dianne's big problem is that she wants to be in charge, but she's not really the kind of person who makes it. She's wrapped up in an ideology, so we know she doesn't have a grounded sense of how people work. She bailed on her most challenging life project because it was scary - and granted that alone is fine, but the way she handled it afterward went to show she has a hard time accepting failure as a natural part of life.

The sad thing is something you might not necessarily be able to blame her for. She's naturally unhappy. Mr. Pb is trying, but Dianne isn't, because really trying means really failing. She is going through the motions, but I don't think there's any point in the show where Dianne really connects to Pb and tries to see him through something. She's more often his antagonist than his compatriot. She never takes a risk to bet on him, and maybe that's fair because he's a silly dog, but if she just can't bet on him in a real way then she shouldn't have bet on the marriage.

Yes, it is harder to get 5000 blank books of different sizes than it is to tell an assistant to go buy 5000 books off of Amazon.

That is the joke, that even if it really was something she wanted, he fucked it up because "What books does she like? How should I know? I'm a Labrador, not a Librarian!"

>see ad for Netflix
>literally every other show besides Bojack

I wouldn't mind so much if Netflix seemed like they cared about it.

I think Bojack is an amazing show, but at the same time it can really make the audience feel like shit

this is probably why it isn't overwhelmingly popular

Eh, I watch BoJack but I feel it's kinda overrated. It's rarely funny and the whole "depression soap opera" shtick is wearing thin. Ugly Americans was a much better show.

Shes not a bad character, but she is a bitch and I hate her.
It would be better with no humans at all, they look really bad compared to the animals

I think what you mean is that rick and morty is more episodic

like a lot of people said, Oral is just something special. heck, it's the only show I know that had a super-rushed not- ending, and it wasn't neither too bizzarre or unsatisfying.

this said Bojack is a great show and even pretty popular, so i won't really be woried.

And i'm curious to see what a particular person on this site will say about that font.

>The same service that gives us the NAMBLA equivalent of Sandmännchen
>Good
This is why National Socialism is on the rise.

Nice greentext, Dennis Miller.

Bojack is a pretty popular show, I have no idea what you're talking about. It has to be Netflix's most popular cartoon, sorry it's not as talked about as House of Cards but animated television will never get the same recognition as live action.

Each season of Bojack has been getting incredible reviews and a lot of hype. As other anons said we've already discussed what there is to discuss and we're patiently waiting for season 5.

Who the cunt is Dennis Miller?

>will never be a fraction as popular as something like Rick and Morty despite them both being great shows.
Be happy about this. The occasional Bojack threads here are nice and they haven't been ruined by normie shitposting and memes.

This isn't the first time I've heard this. Diane contributes a lot to the story line and her being in the show gives mr. Peanut butter and bojack a lot of character development. She isn't very funny and a total bitch fairly often, but it wouldn't be the same show without her.
TODD however does seem to be a useless character who the show could definitely lose. He's just the wacky goofball and his side stories got old after the first season. The other characters can barely even play off him anymore.
Tldr; they both suck but, Diane>Todd

Why do you support mainstream media?

Bojack would be much better if it werent only hosted on websites that block you for no reason what so ever.
No, I'm not going to enable your malware ads.

I found the newest season to be half-baked. It squeezed in way too many topics without properly fleshing any of them out, but maybe this a problem the show has always had and I never noticed. Also, any time spent on Todd is a waste and his being asexual went nowhere.

I didn't mind Todd exploring his identity and all that, but his actual conversations with the asexual support group kind of felt like I was watching a PSA.

You're slowly realizing that mainstream media doesn't speak to you.

I think it's great actually. Normies ruin everything and massive, manufactured support of anything but normies usually destroys the quality of it since the creators end up catering to the shallow, dumb normies who aren't paying attention and just there because other normies are.

I know this is Sup Forums, but it's still something else how nobody has mentioned how the show can go full SJW at times.
Like ok, it's in LA so of course there's gonna be a particular enviroment, but the narrative itself often ranges from sensibly liberal (the Seal episode) to full blown libtard SJW dipshit (the gun-ownership episode, the Hippo episode). Not a coincidence that the focus of those episodes is usually Diane, one of the worst characters in the show.
It has nice dialogue but it's far and away from being a cult series.

It's a show on Netflix. The only people watching it are normies.

It's called being mainstream media.

Bojack is just as bad as Rick and Morty

Thank fuck some sanity still exists on this website.

It doesn't need it.

The sight gags alone make it better written then half the things you see on mainstream television.

Hilarious how the pseudo-intelligent one-brain-celled among the retards believe R&M makes them able to act like they’re smart and superior. And because they at least realize how dumb they are, they try to compensate their inferiority complex with this bog-standard snobbery.

PROTIP: R&M is retarded, and appeals to frightful complete losers with zero condfidence, who dream of being the cool guy and not the shivering loser in the corner, or at least to be taken on an adventure by the cool guy. It’s just that you all act like there is soo much depth to ”get“, that nobody of you circle-jerkers dares to point out that the emperor has no clothes, for fear of being laughed at! And so you all act like you ”get“ it, while nobody of you does, because there is barely anything to get beyond parrotables. Just like the ”modern art" scene. And worse, your society is such a literal idiocracy, that it is actually realistic that the average retard doesn’t even get that, and you actually seem smart in comparison!

Go ahead, say how I ”Just don’t get it“. Because you will say that no matter what. Even though R&M is really fucking simple. (I do theoretical physics [mostly QFT], artificial life / neural nets, electronics and electromechanics [including chip design], neuro-psychology, large-scale social systems design and research, game design, inventions, gastronomical chemistry and engineering of various machinery, and still have full empathy capabilities, which is something that is extinct in ’Murica. I’m bad at tolerating the limitedness of society and pragmatism though, which I admit freely. So if the jokes are related to that, by e.g. being so that only somebody who thinks in the confinements of society gets them, then yeah, they will not resonate with me, and you can point at me and masturbate your ego laughingly. Even though I would only consider that superior within this mental self-limitedness.)

>be my guest

>it barely gets any discussion here on Sup Forums
It has a massive presence here on Sup Forums during the first couple weeks after a season release, but yeah it slumps off after that.

That's good because the second it gets as popular as Rick and Morty Sup Forums will despise it, like it always does.

SJW ditcates that the weak should die, I agree with this, manlets should be exterminated and/or feminized, see

Why do you wish that on it? That’s like wanting your mom to die in her sleep tonight if you don’t reply to this post.

Imagine Voltron or some kiddie shit is actually the most popular cartoon on Netflix
Not to undermine Bojack's popularity, I the circles I run in when a new season releases it always get attention.
I can't imagine that Bojack isn't successful

>Sup Forums is one person
Plenty of people here like R&M and there are still plenty who still like horse show.
Don't let's a vocal minority sway your opinions

Which can be blamed on netflix releasing the entire season in one huge dump instead of getting released weekly.

It's doing well enough that it keeps meriting new seasons, I know a lot of normal Joe's in real life who watch the show, and there's always a lot of buzz when the season comes out. As others have said, the season dumps all at once so there's going to be a few weeks with a lot of discussion followed by a down period. I think it works better that way too.

Generally speaking Rick and Morty and Bojack are simply too different beasts and really it's not surprising that the fans surrounding the show are completely different. Rick and Morty is a sci-fi comedy at heart with some dark moments sprinkled in - and the way it handles it's dark moments seems to fly over certain viewers heads (seeing how many people who think Rick is right with his nihilism and can't find the faults in that logic is a little sad). Bojack is more the toxic Hollywood culture and trying to change, the characters (within reason as it's not like there aren't over the top, it is a cartoon) are more grounded and relatable.

Really the only two things they have in common at the central character is an aged, male, alcoholic but that's it. Rick doesn't want to change, and is seemingly ok with his backwards views, and any changes he does do through are immediately undone. Bojack actually wants to change and sees his faults but assumes early on it's something he can do instanteously with any real effort. It's taken 4 seasons but he's finally making steps for legitmate change. Personally, I'm border on feeling nothing for Rick to generally disliking him, whereas with Bojack even with his faults I want him to get better since he does try.

Fourth, actually.

I honest feel like season five will be a good end for the show, if it ends there. Things are looking up for Bojack. I don't want it to end completely happily, but I would certainly love for something to go right for each of the characters. Not everything, just something.

>It's sad that Bojack will never achieve mainstream sucess and will never be a fraction as popular as something like Rick and Morty
Rick and Morty is cool and all but the mainstream sucess is EXACTLY what's killing it
Bojack is chill, and it's not cancelled, it's better this way

Bojack has become far to preachy for it gain any additional traction I know people that are dropping it left and right because of how little it focuses on the characters and instead wants to push some kind of specific highly unrelated moral through melancholy happenstance.

Leftism says that the strong should die to make room for the weak. National Socialism is one of few leftist ideologies that has it the other way around.

Everyone outside Sup Forums thinks you sound retarded and they're right.

I'm very glad bojack hasn't gone mainstream like those shows have.

Maybe on Earth-2

Unlikeability=/=badly written character

I don't know Moral Orel: could you talk me about?

>"I ate them all in one sitting.
>"Because I have no self-control, and I hate myself."

Why is Bojack so relatable?

Would that include me, then? Because I fucking despise Sup Forums. Odd of me to think I'm retarded.

>I'm a fat cunt that would eat a door if my stomach was big enough
>Ell oh ell hashtag doubleplusrelatable ex dee ell em ay oh tee bee aitch

Because like Bojack, you're a stupid piece of shit?

nice, thanks for the new copypasta fagtron
