>The Bat (The clown freaky thefts)

Superman used to have a mustache in the Iraqi version.

Do you know where I can read them online?

>The Bat (The bat and his ghost)

It says the bat man not the bat. Look in the upper right corner of the logo.

I love this vintage Arabic font, such a shame translated cape comics aren't as popular now as they were decades ago.

Superman the Iraqi version, where everyone has a mustache.

Lol at the scribbled mustaches.

Thank you man.

My bad. But did you know that they used to call him "Al Sahar"? lol

If I remember correctly, the Egyptian version didn't have a mustache. Saddam was as weird as he was evil.

lmao

Yes and I think it was licensed, unlike the Iraqi version.

There is a lot going on in this cover.
The guy next to Superman who i assume is captain strong is called "seaman" or something to that effect.
Lois is called "Randa"
Clark Kent (who for some reason doesn't have a mustache) is called "Nabil Fawzi"
There are two random characters called "Amina" and "Wasim Jalal"
The villain is "the old man (woman?) of the sea"
And then there is a "Mystery man"

>Al Sahar
Wait what? "Sahar" as in staying up at night?

They even changed the names:
>Clark Kent to Nabil Fauozi
>Bruce Wayne to Subhi
>Alfred to Abdulaziz
>Robin to Zakor
>Thor to Thor Man
>Gotham to Jarjar
> The Flash to Albarq (The Lightning)
> SpiderMan to Bashir Alajeeb (Bashir The wondrous)...

The one who wakes you up to eat "Suhoor" LOL

Well he does stay up late fighting crime, so it checks out i suppose. lol

>tfw you realize that is a Superman/Popeye crossover.

It's Captain Strong see he's a DC parody of Popeye.

>>Gotham to Jarjar

Wait did the copy YOU find have someone draw on it?
Or was this OFFICIALLY drawn on?

In Brazil when Secret Wars was released, the continuity was behind the original one and then they changed a lots of characters, making it a different version.

>Thor Man
>AAAAAH
>Fighter of the Loki Man
>AAAAAH
>Champion of as Asgard
>You're a master of hammering and friendship for everyone

Looks oodly classy.

>Officially drawn on

Nostalgic!

Thragg?

IKR? lmao!!

Partially related, but to a non-speaker the Arabic opening to B:TAS sounds great.

The words were cool, but the music was off on so many levels. Especially the Darbouka part. lol

>Superman moustache

Deepest lore.

Why their love for mustache so much?

ALL GREAT LEADERS HAVE IT.

>Cap'n Strong

There is something that feels so uncanny about these editions

>BORN TO BE KINGS

>everyone has a mustache for no reason

the two random characters appear to be takes on Olive Oyl and Wimpy from PopEye.

Did Iraq just get these comics now?

The reason is because they're men.
Judging by the style and print quality they are at least 30 years old.

>Louis ("Randa"): I can cover the news without Superman's ("The Outsider's"/"The Alien's") help!
>Clark ("Nabil Fozny"): Excuse me... my stomach hurts!
>Olive ("Amina"): That's my husband!
>Hamburger guy ("Waseem Galal"): What's in store for me today?
>Agooz Al Bahr: I know how to deal with these!

And the bottom is typical "The dangerous sea... the ancient ships... THE DANGEROUS JOURNEY" type of tagline. The Dangerous Journey is the title of this issue.

This one was from 1988.

And the Sea Hag, I think.
