Are superheroes original social justice warriors?

>SYFY WIRE spoke with [Kelly Sue] DeConnick in Portland, Oregon, to talk about triggered readers who lash out at her comics and fellow creators dubbed "social justice warriors" because they don't want their comics mixed with politics. Ironically, they often fail to remember that many of the comics they clench so tightly have a long tradition of featuring heroes that are SJWs.
>"I sorry to break this to you, but Captain America is a social justice warrior!" DeConnick clapped-back to her critics. "I know you mean that [term] as an insult, but that is the definition of what he is."

They fight for justice in society, they don't whine about meaningless shit on twitter and play victim
Cap wouldn't deny anyone's right of Freedom of Speech no matter how heinous

Yeah, except that they used to be against commies not for them.

No, they were mouth pieces for propaganda. An SJW wouldn't call a Japanese person a "yellow monkey".

>Sweetie, you just don't understand how modern feminism fights for underpriviledged.

Kelly Sue gets old 2 times faster than normal people.

If we're lucky she'll just crumble to dust like Donovan in the third Indiana Jones.

>SJWs have no idea what SJW means
Not surprised.

Jesus how old is she forty?

Originally other were WW2 propaganda pieces to encourage people to joint the army.

And they weren't politically correct either.

47, I think she doesn't look bad for her age desu.

>DeConnick clapped-back to her critics

>Fraction wakes up every morning to this

She's in position where she knows that no one who dislikes political bent in comics buys her book either way, her book sales well (for an indie) to niche and faithful audience and her husband probably has enough money to easily be the only breadwinner. It's easy to be antagonistic if you don't risk anything.

>Bitch Planet is a comic where women are sent to a space jail for being bad at cooking or being sassy or anything deemed "non-compliant"
>Essay that ends the first issue - "The striking thing about Bitch Planet is that we're already on it."
>no one associated with this comic has been arrested for non-compliance yet
what did she mean by this?

Does gender studies nowadays just boil down to women being oppressed by men?

no... but when you do boil it down thats the big nugget of carbonized garbage floating in it.

Actual studies of gender go on in disciplines like sociology, biology and psychology. "Gender studies" has always been a euphemism for "feminist theory," which, yeah , is mostly a set of opinions masquerading as a field of study.

Why do I get the feeling that she's appropriating the suffering of women in middle eastern countries but implies that every women especially the ones in the west have the same plight?

a fucking horse demon

She looks like a grandma trying to be hip.

No, because SJWs only doing things so that people can see them being SJWs. People who actually care about "social justice" just do what they think is right.

>sociology
You mean psychology for people too retarded to get into psychology? Next you're going to say Anthroplogy is a serious major too.

Are you implying psychology is in any way a respectable field?

He could do better.

Weren’t those Prohibitionist?

So she admits SJWs comics are propoganda?
Also Cap comics weren't anything good or notable until the 60s anyway

No, being against nazis is NOT something to be proud of today
