I heard some of you like Venom here. Do you like this Venom?

I heard some of you like Venom here. Do you like this Venom?

when you watch this scene, look for topher grace re-adjusting his mouth piece while performing and then you will be aware that Sam Rami did not reshoot the scene because sony made him force a venom plot into his movie and he give no shits about venom.

No
The Venom I like is in fetish porn

Wait, we would had gotten a fourth movie?

yes with the vulture though.

What an autist.

how the fuck does Sony manage to stay in business, as incompetent as it is?

venom isn't very interesting but he is a good villian for spider-man at least initially, but if you have a harry osborn revenge plot already...venom is redundant.

they should get out of the movie making business

I can agree with the second part of your post. In which case, why bother with the Harry shit?

Goblin 2 felt way more forced than even Venom and the symbiote story, and I can't imagine it being good at all if that was the route they were gonna take with "Goblin Lite"

They should have found a way to wrap up Harry's story or save it for a future film even still, as his scenes in the movie were all cringey and awful as the rest if not worse

>the cooking scene
>the scene where Harry gets mad at Peter for hurting him when he has been trying to kill him
Rokay Raggy, and Venom in this movie was awful too I'm not defending it, but Harry was some of the worst stuff

their electronics division

Why did his butler wait so long to tell him Spider-Man didn't kill his dad?

He makes me happy.

Would Topper made a good Spider-Man? He literally looks like Peter Parker.

reminder that Marvel will Never Ever do a fleshed out AU where Peter and the symbiote reached an understanding

IIRC he auditioned for the part in the first movie

Bad writing

Then Raimi is a huge faggot because Venom is superior to every other character in this flick

Raimi is literally one of those old assholes who hates anything that didn't come out when he was a kid.

And as much as purists will use this as a means of relation to him or a winning point, it should be noted that he bastardized most of the source material from the 60s Spider-Man anyway so it can't even be argued that he's a "purist" about Spider-Man, he's just a cornball

Because he wasn't real.

Because any butler that isn't Alfred is a dick

To be fair, Rami is a huge faggot.

The fucker was 100% classic spidy lore and refused to do anything with venom despite the fan demand and overall popularity. If he had his way we'd of gotten Vulture in the 4th and I'm guessing more goblin junk and mysterio cock teasing.

As for this venom, most people as I recall just wished the actor was playing Peter instead of Brock.

The death of what if's at marvel along with other AU lines has got to be the shitiest pre-nuMarvel move done in the 10s.

Bitches leave

>Goblin 2 felt way more forced than even Venom and the symbiote story
A fucking meteor fell from the heavens conviently next to Spider-man and then proceeded to fast forward to a modern Venom incarnation complete with ruined Eddie Brock in less than 1 movie. Harry had been built up over the previous three movies at least.

If I remember correctly, they didn't even say "we are venom" which isn't required but also seems like a big missed opportunity. It was pretty bad in general, although I do like Raimi's style of directing for superhero stuff still.

I think for black suit stuff, you really wanna do a full film with Spidey getting it half or a third of the way through and changing his behaviour gradually but still stopping the villain. Just end it with a darker note as he is starting to become less purely heroic. Then have the dark side take a fever pitch in the sequel (you could even have him show up in side projects in the black suit and act accordingly) and get him to the point where he forces it off. Introduce Eddie earlier in that sequel, have him interact with black suit Peter, so the throughline is clear (you could also introduce him as supporting cast in an earlier film and have him just be jealous of regular Peter and fucking up generally). Have a brief "Yay hero Spidey is back" moment, maybe a newspaper heroics montage, and then he encounters Venom. Play up them not triggering his Spider sense, play up them knowing his identity (I'd even start with Eddie trying to off Peter in plainclothes). And then spend the last 2 thirds of the movie with that as the plot.

Of all the people they could have cast as Eddie, why the fuck did they think Eric fucking Forman was a good call?

They didn't go with the "lets research the character and try to do it justice" route but instead the "ok, venom is evil Spider-Man? Just do that" route because Raimi is a manchild

To be fair, Brock was a straight up villian before fans decided they liked him more as an edgy 90s anti-hero.

I disagree...he certainly was presented as a villain, but ever since the early days Brock's thing was having a warped sense of morality, in his mind he always was the hero...he was never a Goblin type of guy who loved being evil, even when he was being evil he thought he was being good, even before they presented him as actually being good.

Have they made a good movie before?

"Eric, get down from that web and take off that crap. You look like a dumbass!"

No. Brock was supposed to be a disgraced journalist, not a photographer, also a gym bunny. Also the symbiote is all wrong. It should look more gooey, not those tendrils of fabric. The enclosing of it over the body of the host should be more fluid, like a liquid filling a vessel.

What I really wanted going into this movie was a Venom tease at the end and then a 4th movie all about Venom. I was disappointed with how they handled the whole thing

No, but I did like this Sandman.

He needs a foot in his ass.

>Venomverse introduces a Spider-man that kept the symbiote
>Pretty much dies in the first issue

I'm pretty sure most of Raimi's "research" for the trilogy came from the 90s cartoon rather than the actual comics.

...

One of the best origin scenes hands down.

Isn't that the question of the day.

No, he showed his face too much.
And how come his human form has sharp teeth? That doesn't make sense.

...

The symbiote gives you monster teeth.

Despite this movie's problems and the CG Spidey (and Tobey's grimaces) not being the best in that scene, I really still liked how that pipe bit worked out and was shot. Complete focus on Venom as Peter did his thing.
