What killed Sup Forums?

What killed Sup Forums?

Was it the mass migration to plus4chan and the site's subsequent demise, leaving much of Sup Forums's original userbase simply moving on instead of returning? Was it the one-two fandom punch of Homestuck and that horse show both being Sup Forums's jurisdiction? Was it the rise of Sup Forums and tumblr heralding an all-consuming battle between the worst of conservative and liberal ideologies that can be felt all across Sup Forums? Was it a younger generation lacking even a casual appreciation for older comics and animation? Was it the comic industry's increasingly pathetic decline into its current state? Was it the mass influx of Sup Forums thanks to the prevalence of modern comicbook movies? Was it the casual acceptance of furries? Was it the mods?

I'll bet it was the mods.

Shouldn't you be taking a nap, grandpa?

Personally I've been here for a month and I've already saved this website. I, the king of phoneposters, has single handedly saved Sup Forums. You're welcome.

Also how tf do I greentext
>like wtf why isn't it working

Oh there it goes, lol

Once again, no need to thank me

ten billion non stop shipping threads ruined Sup Forums

It was enforcing the porn ban even if the porn was spoilered. I can have morons tell me about Guardians movies and Steven Universe anywhere on the web, but I no longer have a home for pix of Groot railing a Crystal Gem, so why come here? And think of the Rule 34 loli-shota!

>Homestuck and that horse show both being Sup Forums's jurisdiction?
At least that horse show got a place on Sup Forums to talk about their stuff. Homestuck's not allowed anywhere here

Maybe it was the whiners always crying about shit they don't like and how everything is awful now and how things were better in the past.

>Was it the mass migration to plus4chan
the only people who went there and stayed there were pedophiles and people who honestly believe alex jones is right

The time itself.

Personally, I find modern comics a disappointment and if there was a retro comics board, I would have moved there.

Mods are really a huge part of the problem, enforcing rules only when it's convenient for them and turning the blind eye to threads that break the rules but don't personally offend them..

Mods. Either by laziness or those who used to brag about their agenda to shit the board up if they got in did get in. All of the other bullshit can be laid at their feet.

They grew up, people should leave 4chn when they hit 30, for their own good and to leave the youngest discuss about what's relevant today and not muh appretiation for older cartuns and comic . They keep liking Sup Forums media but they're not gonna waste more time arguing with shitposters

It's because there aren't enough shows Sup Forums can be autistic about. When Avatar and Gravity Falls were airing Sup Forums was able to obsess over them; resulting tons of fan art, memes, fan fics, and theory crafting. Now the only show Sup Forums can do this about is Star vs the Forces of Evil because it's one of the few shows with a plot.

Sadly Sup Forums can only be happy about shows while they're airing because once we have the complete series Sup Forums can only focus on their flaws (such as Korra or Mabel) and lament about wasted potential.

None of those things. I remember it distinctly, It was all the hate that spewed forth from Korra threads.

Better to go out with a bang than a wimper I suppose.

women

It was
>/mlp/ and how autistic both the fanbase and hatebase were
>The rise of Sup Forums faggots when Baneposting and MoS happened
>Generals having to be implemented after Korra's finale, and now it was ok than a thread could be shitty on purpose because of it being a general
>2016 and the elections letting everyone be even more retarded because "muh USA"
>Mods being idiots and not killing twitter threads that are bait for political and biased discussion about reee current events that don't affect more than 10% of the people who do read comics or watch cartoons.

But we all know what's the truth.
It's that Sup Forums can't stop taking the bait and let shitposting continue instead of doing like other, better boards and actually reporting shit.

>>Generals having to be implemented after Korra's finale, and now it was ok than a thread could be shitty on purpose because of it being a general

This happened way before Korra.

Take your prejudice against wizards and leave.

...

>Sup Forumsmblr is dying!!1!

Nice meme. This board is still one of the top draws on this site no matter what the Sup Forumstists say. You would probably already know that if you actually did some research instead of believing every statistic graph that gets posted.

Sage for off topic

This. They deleted posts that made fun of King's batman but not 10 different black panther we wuz kangz threads. When you report those threads for going off tangents the mod ban you for abusing your reporting power (whatever the fuck that means asshats)

Honestly, for me, it's retarded Cartoonposters. Everyone can admit that generals are the cancer killing Sup Forums, but 90% of them on this board are for cartoons. You don't see generals for funny books.

People generally not discussing comic books is an issue too.

keep telling yourself that kid, this board is glacial

I'm sure having a million worthless OC generals linger on the catalog for weeks at a time didn't help

There is next to no thread with over 20 replies, where a Sup Forumstard isn't trying to derail with his autistic screeching.

Coincidentally the ones, that don't know shit about comics. TV is even worse.

Maybe, maybe, maybe, maybe, maybe, maybe, maybe, Yes; there is no point in enforcing the rules if these fucktards have their own set of rules based on their fee-fees.

That doesnt make any sense, stop being a sensative faggot.

>announcing a sage

Holy shit newfag leave

Honestly it was the MCU because it made casuals think they were at home here and that they were suddenly experts on comics.

Are you high?

None of those would be nearly as prominent if the Mods did what they were supposed to.

Instead we've got lazy fucks who allowed threads with furry porn in the OP to go on for almost 3 hours a few weeks ago.

Sup Forums

you literally cannot argue this

Sup Forums too, but that applies to ever board.

hotpockets

What the fuck is plus4chan?

This

Bad moderation, through and through.

A mini-Sup Forums that a bunch of old Sup Forums tripfags created, supposedly as a backup Sup Forums for Sup Forums's then-frequent outages (but really it was an attempt to create a proto-/aco/ and make Avatar OCs). It was decently popular for a chan offshoot, but a series of outages (ironically) pretty much killed it. From what I've gathered, many of those people never bothered coming back here.

Whether or not that's a good thing is up to you.

Sup Forums.

Movies/TV shows and cartoons should all go on their own boards. I just want to talk comics but the only good threads are slow ones dedicated to old comics.

>tfw can't make threads becuase Hiro range banned me in order to get me to buy a Pass.

IT WILL HAPPEN TO YOU TOO!

It's because all attempts at deviating from mainstream comics are immediately banned by overzealous janitors.
Webcomics, eurocomics, and contiguous cartoon discussion threads are deleted in favor of yet another Rick and Morty thread, a Marvel hatesink, or a DC reacharound.
If Sup Forums dies, it's because of a inflexibility of management, not lack of interest.

Sup Forums is still alive, but it hasn't been as good now that /trash/ takes up the generals and content creators.

I think Sup Forums is fine outside of the cartoon and movie threads. I don't watch cartoons anymore, remove them and this board is instantly more enjoyable.
