Vitamin D cures crohn's and IBS. Just thought I'd let you know

I suffered for years with phlegm shits, and the worst gut pain daily. Thought I was dying. Saw my doctor about 15 times, no help. Used pro biotics and yogurts, no help. Randomly found an article (bbc I think) that said 90+% of people with IBS are low vitamin D. Started taking it. I shit like a twenty year old again, and gut pain is a thing of the past. I hope this helps someone else.

Berniefags BTFO

Crohn's is a genetic disease, you know, chromosome related.

IBS is just sensitive bowels.

you can't *cure* Crohn's

My mom has had chrons disease for nearly 50 years and has had major intensive surgery that removed most of her digestive system.
She takes almost all types of supplements since she can't get nutrients from food, including vitamin D. you are an idiot

this.
also I'm willing to bet it was all related to your shitty eating habits

Take glutamine aswell.

4 scoops of 2.5g per day. it raises your growth hormone levels and enables your intestine to repair itself faster.

-T. Northern Ireland.

>not knowing what gene expression is you stupid nigger

>glutamine
>IBS

kek

>Shitting funny because of not getting enough D

Huh. Usually it's the opposite.

Of course they don't want you to think you can cure crohn's. Especially with something as simple as vitamin D. I know spending $10 on a bottle just to try it would break most peoples bank accounts.......

Did you just ASSUME my genetic structure?

Crohns has no relation to IBS and wont be cured by vitamin D you moron.

can vouch for this, definitely makes my exacerbations clear up quicker

What do I know I'm just a gastroenterologist, not a Norwegian.

You're recommending gluten to people with retard genes that react heavily against it.

it's just gonna fuck their shit up

Mate don't go full retard.

Glutamine is not gluten. And IBS is not gluten intolerance.

>coeliac disease fag
>I know my gluten

did he say to eat gluten? glutamine is an amino acid, nothing to do with gluten

>You're recommending gluten

You can't read or are retarded.

l-glutamine is used to treat IBS.

>I shit like a twenty year old again
Anything that can help me get a boner like a 20 year old again?

Everyone who doesn't leave their basement regularly to get several hours of sunlight a day (everyone on Sup Forums) should take Vitamin D.

The best theories on crohns suggest it's when a slightly faulty immune system tries to fight off either a mycobacterium or fungal/bacterial mix. It fails causing endless inflammation and granulation.

Its not related to diet or vitamin D, beyond healthy levels being good for your health.

What is intolerance?

What is IBS?

Coeliac disease fucks their shit up, but general intolerance causes massive amounts of pain.

IBS in general is a combination of built up intolerances towards certain foods, it's usually allways related to overusage of gluten / corn products.
t. someone who deals with severely autistic people who almost allways have IBS.

Viagra Bro, It's been around for like 20 years......see what I did there? hahaaha

Too retarded, didn't read.

genetics is a social construct

Who /colon cancer before 30/ here?

Trips & keks

>low vitamin D
Also helps greatly with depression. Take 5000 IU daily. You'll feel much better after 7 days.

That's what I'm saying. I used to have to avoid certain foods, because it made my symptoms 5000x worse. Since I started the vitamin D about a year ago. I can eat anything again, no problems. Like I said if this helps just one person, post successful!

I hate how if one thing works for someone, when other things did not, they constantly decree THIS is the ONLY way to do x.

yes it works for you, might not work for others...

there are many ways to skin a cat, user

So, is there a miracle treatment for hemorrhagic rectocolitis? It really fucks up my life badly. I think it's pretty close to Crohn's.
At this point I'm willing to try pretty much anything.

m8 if you got IBS, avoiding the foods you react to will lower intolerance towards it over time.

just don't over-eat it when you reintroduce it to your diet again.

i.e. don't eat pasta every fucking day unless you want massive amount of farts and stomach pain.

gotta learn to micro-manage what you eat if you wanna control IBS

Dosage might be overdoing it but if you're a basement dweller it'll definitely help with the depression.

I've been having lots of gas lay my and slightl pain while shitting. Also reduced appetite. How worried should I be about my appendix exploding ? If very ill go to a duty doctor tomorrow for urinalyses

there was a uk study a few years back that stated that bearly all vitamins were unneedes and sinply a marketing scam. the exceptions were pre natal vitamins for expecting mothers and vitamin d because noone spends near ebough tune in the sun anymore to produce it naturally. i had a majot lung infection had to undergo all kinds of tests. started taking vitamin d and bam. its gone. no more lung infection. doctors were mildly suprised.

This. I didn't realise how lack of sunlight fucks you up, but it's true. And the more depressed you get the more you stay at home. Lack of Vitamin D3 also bottlenecks your entire Vitamin D intake so drinking milk wont do shit to improve teeth/bones if you're a basement dweller.

Friendo.......buy a bottle of vitamin D, and eat pasta everyday. I didn't say it was the only way, what I said is it saved me. I hope it can save someone else. Take it or leave it.

Tampon obviously.

placebo effect, it's literally caused by just avoiding what food types you react to for a longer period of time.
the autistic people i deal with tend to only eat one type of food then throw tantrums and be full of gas because they can't handle so much of the food types they eat.

imagine liking ice cream, a lot and refusing to eat anything but ice cream and then getting intolerancies towards milk and eggs because of constant abuse of ice cream, then become extremely violent everytime you eat ice cream because you're in pain.

just don't over-use what you eat and you wont get intolerancies, unless you're unlucky and get it over time from not having a diverse diet.

doggo :3

That's some kinda placebo effect. Going from shitting bloody phlegm for five years, to fully cured in two weeks after starting vitamin D, yeah placebo.....I only take between 1000-2000 iu a day also. Not super dosing by any means.

I've got awful shits every day, I don't know if they're phlegm shits persay, but whatever this problem evolved into, it now makes my lungs sore and full of mucus sometimes. affects my breathing at night and doctors can't diagnose anything via bloodtests etc.

I'll give vitamin D a try.

I know this'll sound stupid, but i'm paranoid anyway, is it even safe to take that much? can it hurt me at all?

Please do, I use the Jamieson D chewables. If this ends up helping you it will be worth every shitpost I've read x50000000000000 lol. Good luck

Also increases testosterone. That's the biggie.

1-2 doses at 1000 iu a day, every day though. Don't go bust and eat half the bottle all at once. Slow and steady friend.

Criminally underrated.

I just eat those mini tomatoes.

Like, loads of them when I feel stuck... give it half a day to a day and I'm golden.

Vitamin D can actually cause constipation as it uses magnesium... magnesium deficiency = constipation

I had a bottle in my cupboard and I just took 2, we'll see what happens in a week I guess.

Make sure that bottle hasn't expired......It does expire after about 3 years.

It's less than a year old, so it should be fine.

>PolMD

IBS is not a real disease and has nothing to do with Crohn's. Cry more retard. You're so stupid you have a fake disease that a placebo can cure.

You're retarded. Go look up clinical trials. Even in Crohn's there's usually about 25% of patients on placebo who go into remission.

I was depressed, not enjoying the things I used to. Had some routine bloodwork done, vit D low (ocean temp is only up to 19C, too cold for the beach yet). I started taking 1000ui a day and I'm shitposting like there's no tomorrow again.

Yes, vitamin D is the cure to autoimmune disorders. Thanks so much for clearing that up, user. Why did I waste all these years in academia and industry when the solution was so obvious.

I had IBS, it was from high mercury levels causing the gut bacteria to mutate (as there's MRP transporters that dump into the bile). I'm not an alt medicine guy but colloidal silver got rid of the 2 month shits (that came up about 3x a year).

this is for vedolizumab, new biologic.

I'm not crying, I feel great since I started taking vitamin D. I was crying for the five years before that, with bloody phlegm shits and doubled over daily with gut pain though.........five years at the doctors, who recommended everything but vitamin D.......

If your scientific rigour were practiced universally we'd all be dead

Anyone think we might find a proper cure for crohns in our lifetime? On one hand its promising that they now know it's not autoimmune and is more of an infection/ inappropriate response to bacteria - but on the other hand the fact that they're only finding out basic information like that now seems pretty poor.

If they actually taught more practical cures at University, instead of how you can get a free trip to Hawaii for prescribing whatever Pfizer is selling, more people might not needlessly suffer........

Everyone should be taking Vitamin D, it can improve life dramatically for 90%+ of people. I keep a huge bottle of it on my desk and eat it like candy throughout the day.

Enjoy the calcification of your blood vessels and heart.

Get off your high horse. People are stupid. A lot of doctors are really fucking stupid too.

Half of century we know that antibiotics help with certain conditions. We know that some autoimmune disease are triggered AND caused by bacterial infections. Recently we got even more antibiotic that help from autoimmune disease.

And yet when some people came up with bacterial infection hypothetsis they are treated like lunatics by mainstream. Well what can you do about it. People are fucking sheeps.

I am taking rifamycin from my behterev's disease. There are 0 studies on its effect. I literally got through random antibiotics untill it worked. And it works very fucking good, better than anything doctors prescribed. I even stopped taking diclofenac.

Same thing with niacin. Very few people know how great it helps against inflammatory back conditions. I dont think there are even credible studies on it.

I take 1000 IU daily and spend 15minutes outdoors without a shirt and just shorts. Should I up my dosage to 2k-3k IU??

You need to take vitamin C for your ignorance

Agreed, to much of a good thing is a bad thing. I only recommend between 1000-2000 iu (international units) of vitamin D per day. Eating half a bottle a day would probably be worse for you than anything you're trying to remedy.

If you don't have terrible shits and gut pain daily then no. Sounds like you have it figured out just fine friend, cheers.
