The "melting pot" idea is a noble endeavor, as it encourages and fosters a spirit of assimilation into the character of the nation. Multiculturalism is different altogether, creating more of a "tossed salad" in which each component retains its characteristics. A "melting pot" makes for a strong nation, a "tossed salad" encourages identity politics and division.

What about music you racist fuck??

Cultural melting pot? At least in America - and that's my impression from some time on Sup Forums, people are discouraging that. They're alright with forcing racial diversity, but not cultural one - e.g. cultural appropriation. They want to merge many races and ethnicities, to live together, but in the meanwhile, to keep them pure and unscathed. That's a bunch of bull. Since when are people in their own countries supposed to comply with the outsiders' demands? Shouldn't the outsiders be the one who must strive to fit in in the said country, and not the other way around?

Go live in another country for a while (or at least travel overseas) and you will have your answ er

There are many benefits when the "melting pot" occurs naturally and isn't forced, coerced or incentivized by government intervention or programs.
When individuals from different cultures come together voluntarily to work towards similar goals, the benefit comes from taking the ideas and perspectives that work well from both cultures and then also allowing critical inquiry into ideas that don't work. Over time, there can be a cultural shift that works for the benefit of all cultures involved.
The issue comes when people are forced by government action to be together where the perspectives of the respective cultures are not compatible and they would never have integrated on their own. This is what we're seeing with the refugees in Europe right now and it outlines the problems with this kind of forced integration.

Less race warfare - that's about all, peace out

Theoretically you can see the best from each race and be inspired by it.

You understand something in the official rhethorics is wrong and come to Sup Forums

This is purely theoretical because in my experience many instances with immigrating races they seem to bring their worst.

i've heard a professor say canada is a 'mosaic' not a 'melting pot'

> the benefit comes from taking the ideas and perspectives that work well from both cultures and then also allowing critical inquiry into ideas that don't work This is a lie, though. Getting a Swahili feminist genderqueer's "perspectives" on anything is a waste of time. It has nothing to offer.

>culturally diverse This isn't the real goal user, the real goal is merging all races and cultures into one big turd. That way the ruler class can have better control of resources/people. >Globalism

Good post.

The origin of the term tells a lot. It is literally about turning your country into a pot in which your brethren and your culture will get melted out of existence in the most painful way.

Those corner shops would still be open late without Pakis and Asians manning them. It would just be done by guys like Seagull Brah.

Honestly, it's just a larger variety of food. Anyone can be taught to do something, no race is limited in what they can be taught to do. Although certain races do have certain stereotypes regarding their intelligence.

“His conclusion based on over 40 cases and 30,000 people within the United States is that, other things being equal, more diversity in a community is associated with less trust both between and within ethnic groups.”

It fucks over conservafags and religious people as their children grow up in an environment without one true culture or one true religion and will naturally adapt to what's actually there instead and grow up to be smarter and more flexible than in a shut-in system.
