Because the world economy has been stagnant for 90% of the population since 2008.
There is a huge effort by celebrities and their agents to avoid been seen as frivolous and lavish in the public eye.
They're still partying 24/7 but they don't want your poor ass knowing that in case you get angry.
It's late march and most young people are still broke because they spent too much money on Christmas and new years. This is a generation that literally cannot afford to party. We got used to getting drunk before heading out because if we buy two extra shots at the nightclub we will struggle to pay next month's rent.
No celebrity wants to remind you of how poor you are. Exhibitionism is only acceptable when the common man can at least emulate his wealthier peers. Our generation can't even do that.

Okay dipshit. They have publicists who control their entire message. The ones that have attention, have it for a reason, they sell it. Hollywood is still the coked up shit show it's always been, but at this moment they are selling this metoo movement and it requires a more purist view to work well.

Because the hideous after-effects are JUST starting to manifest, especially to those who partied hard decades ago.
