False, maths predates all abrahamic religions with evidence dating back to ancient babylon, egypt, and the indus valley civilisation. In general mathematics existed everywhere that also had written language, and in a few places it predated writing.

Islam was highly influential in math. The base ten system used today comes from the widespread study of Al-Khawrizimi's treatises on algebra and quadratic equations.
That is quite different to the original claim of invention.
Also I think you'll find that the majority of his algebra work was a refomulation of the quadratic formula that had been decribed in india some five centuries before he was born.

Islam's influence in mathematics was mainly due to their possession of translated greek works. The collapse of the briefly sprung islamic scientific period was due to the perception that anything that wasn't explicitly islamic was anti-islamic; such as greek mathematics.
