Artist you like starts drawing more and more commissions

>Artist you like starts drawing more and more commissions
>It gets to the point where his entire gallery is nothing but commissions
>He doesn't draw anything original anymore

Ey, a fella's gotta eat.

Commision her yourself ya mooch

commision something original

So is this a Harry Partridge thread?

>it's a "why are all the people with my fetish too poor to commission porn" episode.

Herny

Give them money to draw one of their original stuff

C'mon, if the Furry Community can pay their artists, then everyone else can too

I don't want the artist to draw whatever other people pay them to draw
I want the artist to draw what HE likes to draw
the stuff he used to draw before becoming popular

That fella should get a real job then.

>Me looking at the sheer fucking bank a good artist gets from doing commissions for furry fucks

Seriously, i'm seeing some artists pulling in some crazy amounts of cash

What disqualifies it as a job, bro?

>artist you like acquires a fetish you hate
>they start drawing nothing but that fetish, even without commissions

This happens to be way more often, tbqff.

What fetish?

The artist isn't miserable for half their waking hours and has a relatively flexible schedule.

Honestly I've started learning to draw in part because I want to draw my fetish, and by "draw my fetish" I mean "reliably get images of my fetish for free."

Probably scat.

I learned to draw because of that reason. Now I literally sell the drawings I jack off to

Gotta make a livin bruh

>artist stops taking commissions for your fetish because the streaming service he likes to draw on makes new rules against it

wow, it's almost like he hates his fans
what a shitlord

Seen this happen to several artists, but the one that really annoys me more is that a couple years ago a lot of artists I used to like started drawing NOTHING but pony shit. For MONTHS, and in a couple cases years. It's SLOWLY falling off, but Christ I'm so sick to goddamn death of pony shit.

That's what he's saying. Pay him to draw whatever he wants. If he needs to work you're buying him time to do something for himself, and if you like it anyway than you're getting something for himself.

What's the most you've seen? I think the highest I've seen is maybe 120,000 a year or so. Which is not bad at all. Seems like most I see are around 2,000-3,000 a month though which is not that great.

>Commission an artist
>have to wait patiently for them to finish

moar liek herny-a amirite

My only issue is tripe digit waiting lists

See, that's a big reason why plenty of people here get into art. The thing is, you never hear much about how difficult it can be to get off to your own work.

WHY DOESN'T HE JUST START A FUCKING PATREON
THAT WAY HE CAN STOP TAKING COMMISSIONS AND FOCUS ON HIS ANIMATION
FUCK
