He's an old artist who never hit his stride. He could have done cool things, but now he is just part of a forgotten era.

I think his style has gotten worse over time. His porn from 10 years ago is good. I have never really read his comics.

i like his porn

I personally like it very much. Gives me a Treasure Planet/ Jak and Daxter feel

Look, I'm not sayin' he's a gold digger...

Makes me nostalgic. He's an artist from an older era. Not better, not worse, but still in the past. I still like his stuff, but he really does feel old now.

As a person he seems pretty dope as well. So good on that. Antarctic Press isn't good enough for him. I wish he had jumped ship.

He is a god among men, and a genuine talent.

How many thousands of pages of comics has he produced? He's got to be up past Carl Barks or Don Rosa or Jack Kirby at this point, and all of those guys had big teams helping.

...

I have cum buckets with some of his works.

...

He's okay I guess. A lot of his stuff feels repetitive.

I still like this thing he did. I wish he did animation more. This is 10 years old what am I doing with my life.

Not a fan of the faces.

I really like him. I have a drawing of two characters from an old comic of me that I got as a birthday gift and its still hanging over my desk framed. I also have several original pages from Gold Digger in framed in my living room.

I like the porn he draws.

I like his porn.

>who never hit his stride.

If Fred "Draws and writes his own book, knocks off webcomics animation and game projects in his spare time and now is doing awesome smut on top" Perry doesn't fit your definition of "hitting his stride" I don't fucking know what you think the words you're using mean

Has he worked on anything substantial? I love his style and wish he got to work on some official stuff.

>I love his style and wish he got to work on some corporate owned stuff.
Fixed and I doubt that would happen seeing how he draw too sexy for Marvel and DC is not doing anthro animals

>Has he worked on anything substantial?

Hasn’t Gold Digger been going for like 30 years?

You know that you get no social status for being a snob when you're anonymous, right? You don't have to try so hard.

You're thinking of stuff like "recognition", "acknowledgement" and "fame", user.
Perry has been "striding" for decades now. He's got a rabid core fanbase that supports whatever he does.

>I think his style has gotten worse over time. His porn from 10 years ago is good.
10 years ago, Fred Perry's porn was a way lesser quality than his legit comic work was.
Nowadays one could argue his porn is better than his Gold Digger work. (artwise, anyway.)

>Antarctic Press isn't good enough for him. I wish he had jumped ship.
Jump ship where? Who'd make that kind of investment in publishing Perry's furry cosmic sci-fi adventure epic? Who'd distribute him under a new label?
Seems to me Perry and AP are bound 4 lyfe.

If I remember right I think he did a lil something for Battle Chasers a million years ago, maybe...

Is that a printed comic? I thought it was a webcomic he posts for free.

Racially a SJW. Dropped.

You got a comparison of his recent and old work? I'm not very good to see progression at a glance.

>Who'd make that kind of investment
He could always try europe. They like anthros and manga style there. And he could benefit from a good inker/colorist.

>likes his jobs, apparently makes enough to live off it, owns the IP he's working
>is responsive to viewer's suggestions when it comes to fanservice
>draws porn on the side

He's a kang.

>Makes me nostalgic. He's an artist from an older era. Not better, not worse, but still in the past. I still like his stuff, but he really does feel old now.

I think the same thing. It's also the case with Eric Shwartz.

He always wuz. A gentleman and a scholar.

God Digger did get a german release. It's just that with the Franco-Belgian market we aren't exactly left wanting for that sort of smut, so his weaknesses were probably why the edition didn't go beyond eight books.

I'm certain he can draw better faces, but sticks to this style anyway. Not that I really care since I fap to his porn blog regularly.

What's wrong with the faces?

Often he is way too wordy, but that's a minor annoyance and works both against and for him.

Also he is a nigger, which allows for hilarious context because ever since I knew that I've been reading his works in a gangsta nigga voice and it makes them 10x funnier.

I think the most hilarious part is his "origin story", which is said to be as follows: while stationed in Iraq during Desert Storm, he was drawing porn doodles, and his fellow soldiers liked them so much that they encouraged him to draw more.
I have no idea if this is completely true or not, but I consider it fucking legendary. Just imagine it, a nigga in camo pants in the barracks drawing Gilligan's Island porno on the back of his notebook, and then the rest of the troops take turns making copies of it so they have something to jerk off to, while officially they are there looking for Saddam.

SJWs can only be white.

>He's an old artist who never hit his stride.

He's been on his stride for over a decade now. How long has Gold Digger been running? I can't name any other porn artist who got such a long ongoing publication.

>SJWs can only be white.

Hahaha no.

>Gold Digger is a comic book series, written and drawn by Fred Perry, and published by Antarctic Press. Fred came up with the initial inspiration for Gold Digger during his tour of duty in the First Gulf War,[1] and released the debut oneshot in Antarctic Press' Mangazine, in 1991. A four-issue miniseries followed in 1992 and 1993, followed by a regular monthly black-and-white series, and finally the current colour series beginning in 1999.

His art's okay. Never cared for his writing.

It has been posted online free but it's a printed comic. Long time.

his porn's better

Non-Japanese should not try to imitate anime style.

Not enough futa

He's consistently made me laugh and smile every month for a quarter of a decade.

I really want to have sex

Everything's fine until you get to the face. It's not just that it's "anime style" but it's trying to insert dimension on top of that style in a way that makes no geometric sense. As if the eyes exist on some type of theoretical 3D balloon that has no correlation to the anime billboard face-thing that they're drawn on top of and it comes off as making the characters look like inbred retards.

>Everything's fine until you get to the face

And everything is fine after that, since all he does is draw bedroom eyes on everyone.

Post em

It's weird how "quarter of decade" sounds a lot longer than 2-3 years.

I remember hearing on Sup Forums years back about a time a douche was walking on front of Fred's booth at a convention and slammed into a Sup Forumsmrade, making the dude drop his food. Fred apparently got up, helped clean up the mess, and offered the user his own unopened bag of chips or something.

So I pretty much classify him as good people.

The drawing of my two characters is the one I posted first. Or do you mean the original pages?

...A quarter of a decade IS a lot lot longer than 2-3 years.

a quarter of a decade is 2.5 years

yeah but 2-3 years is -1 year

Well there you go. The original pages from Gold Digger hanging in my living room.

so how bout that YJ comic. finished when fred?

Fred's stuff hurts me. I buy every issue of GD but I haven't read any of it in 5 years.

One day I'll read it all and I will die.

Ah...

which issue?

>finished when

Uh... it's already finished, user.

They are from different issues. I don´t remember the numbers. I only know that the second one from the left is the first page of Gold Digger Beta, which was a colour special published in 1998. comixology.com/Gold-Digger-Beta/comics-series/32079
