Freddy Kreuger decides to kill the Avengers. Does he succeed?

If the JLA can beat Dr. Destiny, the Avengers can beat Freddy.

Bruce Banner would probably somehow mindhulk him or something weird like that.

Only if he takes out Cap first, otherwise he'll just never go to sleep until he's stopped.

There's already a Krueger expy in Marvel called Nightmare and no he doesn't.

Bruce has Devil Hulk. Also I can see Dr. Druid pulling him into the real world.

Who is it?

Doctor Strange would pretty much nullify Freddy as a threat

>Dying in Marvel Comics

Dr Destiny has a real body in the real world; once you find him, he's fucked. Freddy, on the other hand, can only be stopped (temporarily) by pulling him into the real world and killing him there, or by forgetting about him.

Who is this fedora meat man?

It depends if Dee has either the machine, or the fucking Dream Stone. If its the latter, its a lot more complicated

Pretty much this. What Freddy's Dead the Final Nightmare doesn't really take in to account is that Freddy only started killing kids in their dreams when he died,.

Kill him when he is in a mortal form and he eventually just goes back to haunting children again. If they were smart, they'd just imprison Freddy once he's in a physical form. It's still only a temporary solution, but for the time he is stuck in a physical form, he can't do anything since he's essentially powerless.

Strange solos.

Deadpool

Freddy is dependent on fear to manifest. If no one is afraid, his soul cannot escape into the dream realm to fuck with you

Better question. Can Freddy beat the so called geniuses of Marvel? Doom, Reed Richards before being a god, Evil Ultimate Reed the creator, etc

And if Freddy vs Jason is canon to Freddy lore, he also needs people to be aware of his existence.

He probably could kill the guys who don't have powers like Tony or Clint

Doom would have the best chance out of the 3. The guy has the will to overcome Purple Man's influence, theres a good bet that he could control his own dream. Freddy has home field advantage in most cases because he has more experience in the realm and uses the victim's fear as a way to keep them weak. In theory, a strong willed person should have everything to kick Freddy's ass out of their head

Powers won't save you in a dream. You can't even effectively use normal human abilities in dreams. Like you can't really run and you usually can't read.

Freddy is only powerful in theory, in practice he regularly gets his ass handed to him by teenagers and, despite having the powers of a literal god in the dream world, frequently fails to kill said teenagers in their dreams because he's too busy fucking around. Freddy's a fucking idiot, against actual adults who deal with this kind of bullshit or worse all the time he'd be pulverized.

Chucky would have a better time at the Avengers, and Chucky is like three feet tall.

Wouldn't Doctor Strange have some kind of artifact to seal him away? He's dealt with nightmare demons before.

Freddy has one good advantage; it's hard to kill him. It's usually complicated, like setting an alarm to go off at the exact moment he kills you to pull him into reality.

Chucky, on the other hand, is pretty easy to kill; he's got a corporeal body and had been killed by a fucking flamethrower; most of the avengers can deal more damage than a flamethrower.

>despite having the powers of a literal god in the dream world, frequently fails to kill said teenagers in their dreams

Nigga have you seen the nightmare on elm street movies? Typically all but one kid ends up dead and even if one "survives" it's always implied that Freddy survived as well.

I bet she could beat Freddy pretty handily.

Marvel's power levels are too intense for that to work.

He wins because he's in a horror movie about a dream-ghost killing youths, he's not trying to kill legendary heroes with psychics and god-slaying mystics for friends

Even ignoring the whoever the writer wants to win thing, silly question.

Sure, by pointing out that proportionately the number of teen members in the Avengers is low. Sorry, Pete, but you ain't fulling anyone. It's been decades now.

No no no, you should try the X Mansion. Yeah, it's on Graymalkin Lane. Thanks, and have a good night.

Any superhero would beat Freddy.

>she

there should be no problem. Avengers have enough telepaths on there ranks to make the world forget about Freddy, right?

How can you be afraid of a man that you don't know exists?

Not including a raptor from Jurassic Park is a mistake.

Way too many times Freddie actually got himself physically beat up by teenagers. Avengers are overkill.

And they have enough members who can identify what is going on and do something about it. Like Wanda, Thor, Hercules, or Strange would show up. Others are just not killable like Simon, Hulk, Vision, Monica, Starfox, or Quasar.

Cap's brain might be too advanced to really work over, (he has superior advanced thinking and calculating ability too) so it's really Tony, Quicksilver, Barton, Janet, and Hank better watch out. Even then Hank, Vision, or Tony might just whip up some dream entrance portal or device and go kick his ass.

X-Mansion would be the wort place for Freddy to ever attempt anything. There are way too many psychics in there. And Freddy got his ass handed to him by a kid with some sort of telepathic powers once. Xavier would just destroy him. Much less Jean, Emma, M....

He'd be a good fit for Spider-man. I can see that mini-arc playing out.

That's why I said that if Freddy vs Jason lore was canon, emphasis on if.

I mean, the whole point to how the town got rid of Freddy was to ship off any teen who knew the name to an asylum and feed them pills that stop them from dreaming. Which is a big plot hole in of itself is because Freddy could just as easily kill adults, as he could teens and younger. Children is his preferred victims, because they are easier to frighten. And the Adults would obviously know of Freddy's existence.

As a whole, I was very disappointed with Freddy vs Jason.

I don't think any slasher franchise has consistent internal logic. They all just do whatever.

Depends if the team has any mages at the moment. Brother Voodoo, Scarlet Witch, Muthafucking Doctor Strange, even Doctor Druid. Any of them would stomp Freddys shit. Or telepaths, telepaths would also push his shit in.

Outside of that, Hulk can problaby pull some hulk personality bs on him, Thor and Hercules are probably protected and can call on dream gods to help, Cap has enough willpower to at least free himself without damage.

Doom is also an accomplished mage. Freddy should fear DOOM.
