I finally got around to finishing this show, and it's nowhere near as good as Rick and Morty. There were a few clever episodes here and there, but it was just way too disjointed and plotless for me to enjoy as a whole (even blazed).
Last time I watch a series because of a meme. I thought Perfect Hair Forever was unwatchable too.
>tfw too low of an iq to enjoy Xavier so you gotta post about it on Sup Forums
Eli Adams
Stop fucking comparing XRA to Rick and Morty you normie bandwagoning faggot. They're two completely different shows with completely different types of humor. I'm sick of this dumb ass meme.
Julian Rogers
We can't even have normal Xavier threads anymore without this crap I swear you memefags ruin everything good
Blake Jones
Lol, the show is 100% tell, don't show. Every "deep" idea is explained fully in the dialogue. Reading the screenplay would work as well.
Cooper Long
Xavier isn't disjointed. If anything it's overwritten and maximalist.
Zachary Clark
It's okay to admit you don't get it, user. This is a safe place.
Alexander Jones
I don't even understand why people even want to compare these shows other than memes. They're entirely different animals. >Disjointed >Pointless You missed the fucking point. The show is fun because of clever wordplay, not the fucking plot. Besides, I thought Rick and Morty fags were all about pointless and had the intelligence to pick this shit up?
James Foster
This, people only jumped onto the bandwagon to look cool for liking something that's unpopular.
Gavin Taylor
XRA actually depends a lot on the visuals to drive the message of the story as well.
Brayden Cooper
It's debatable whether Xavier even had "deep" ideas since the show is largely a parody of the New Age bs embodied in its protagonist and most of it is nonsensical. But even if some of the episodes play around with deeper themes, it knows it's too absurd to take itself completely seriously, which is already a point it has over R&M.
Elijah Myers
>implying /r/ick and m'orty doesn't spoonfeed "deep ideas" through the dialogue 100% of the time
James Bell
>tfw this shitty thread gets more replies than yesterday's thread for Xavier's 10 year anniversary Seriously, I was looking forward to that. Did everyone forget or what?
Mason King
>comparing two shows that aren't even remotely similar in theme or execution
I honestly don't have a creative enough vocabulary to call you anything more insulting than a "cocksucking waste of space". Fuck you, and kindly find yourself off this board.
Caleb Hughes
Sorry user, I wasn't on Sup Forums yesterday and I can barely remember my mom's birthday, let alone the day Xavier premiered.
Julian Hughes
That's pretty sad. We can try making a day late anniversary thread, user.
Owen Hernandez
You sound so superficial, you probably judge things by their physical appearance.
>never watched rick and morty >decide to watch XRA up to halfway through the 2nd season holy shit this show is so good - i remember trying to watch the first episode a while back but thinking it had to be some dumb shit meme or something, i'm so glad i tried watching it again
Juan Allen
Wow op, are you so dumb you even answer rhetorical questions?
Ryan Cook
> completely different types of humor
at the risk of sounding pretentious, I don't even think Rick and Morty has any humor. The majority of the show's humor is offhand shockjock talk from Rick.
Cooper Young
Do people actually like this show or are all the posts about it fucking jokes? I remember when this show came out it was just another one of those no budget shit shows like 12 oz mouse. with animation back then if your show had no money it looked like literal shit. Now at least you can have that generic "Netflix original programming" look but back then a show's mediocrity was reflected in its garbage art.
Aaron Young
>too disjointed and plotless for me to enjoy >can't into nonlinear / structure less art
Asher Kelly
>SUfag I would just tell you to rewatch it and judge for yourself, but I'm inclined to tell you to go fuck yourself
Nolan Clark
Most of the threads about XRA now are memes because of that Virgin Chad shit. But it really is a great show and actually taught me a few things. I'm just going to guess you're one of those Mr.Enter fanboys who think bad animation = bad show.
Jonathan Anderson
Its a show about the stupidity of symbolism and new age spirituality.
Plus it has god tier wordplay.
Elijah Adams
>Perfect Hair Forever >unwatchable As soon as you brought up Rick and Morty your bait quality decreased tenfold.
Easton Sullivan
>rick and morty >clever Haha kill yourself mate and get the fuck out of my Sup Forums
Cameron Russell
I think this should be enough redpill evidence to start purging Sup Forums from SUfags and push them right into the abyss of tumblr where they belong
Jacob Mitchell
>complains about bad visuals >posts SU really gets the ol noggin joggin
Luke Jones
We don't cotton to freaks round these parts. Scram.
Grayson Robinson
taste the pain
John Bailey
for every 4 people who talk about XRA, only 1 person actually likes it welcome to modern age
Owen Mitchell
Look at exchange where Xavier is trying to get a bottle of AIDS from the army and tell me that this show isn't funny.
Brayden Peterson
There is a large barrier with the, purposefull, shitty animation, the strange jokes, and the weird characters. If you can get past that you'll likely enjoy the show immensely for its creativity and weird, but hilarious, jokes. It's really an aquired taste.
Anthony Wright
You've got it mixed buddy. Rick & Morty basically talks directly to the audience while Xavier does a lot of quick visual gags that are easy to miss.
Kayden Rogers
I agree brother, let the cleansing begin!
Owen Rivera
Ok, here is the plan. Every time you see SU redirect them:
Andrew Green
That...doesn't really work when you replace "look" with "sound", user.
Joshua Phillips
About XRA
Cooper Rodriguez
Yes, but most people who found XRA through that meme are bandwagoners, and likely moved on to something else once the "meme" died. Only a small percentage genuinely are fans who care.
Liam Brown
>Rick and Morty >clever.
Caleb Perry
I watched the show when it was first airing. It still remains as my favorite cartoon.
Ethan Rogers
He was talking about XRA, dumbass. Read it again.
Xavier Ward
Dickhead. This post is obvious bait, but I'm gonna bite because I can't avoid this shit no matter which board I go. People probably like XLA due to it's absurdity and it actually being clever. If you think Rick and morty beats it in that department then I'm sorry, but you've lost the argument and you will have a tough time in Sup Forums/ What worries me is that Rick and Morty has been on the decline, both in the terms of the show's quality and the fanbase. I predict now people are probably going to jump to this show and probably fucking ruin it as well. Threads like this don't help at all. I'm just rambling at this point this thread is making me stupider.
Carter Moore
To be fair, you need a jigh iq to understand xavier
Aiden Butler
Not really, it's just an acquired taste.
Christopher Cox
>Rick and Morty >clever
Cooper Reyes
Rick and morty is a more traditional comedy, Xavier jokes are a barrage of nonstop shitposting, some of it very clever, but they are very different, and I bet Xavier's humor won't work with most people.
Well as long as people ignore Bojac Horsemen it's all OK for me.
James Fisher
Xavier is the most quotable show, is not meant for you to take seriously.
Jordan Wright
I don't even know what you're talking about, but I definitely noticed that a lot more people seem to know about the show all of a sudden. A few years back you would just post a quote thread and get like ten or twenty responses. Was better that way
Levi Morris
>BACK TO FORMULUR!?
Christopher Cruz
I actually liked it before the 4chad shit, I just think it's funny that it's popular all of a sudden. It's actually pretty funny, doesn't try to take itself seriously like Rick and Morty, for example. The second season was actually kinda tryhard though. The first season was very original and interesting.
Blake Sullivan
>tfw two intleligent for Xavier
Grayson Long
Some shitty meme made a bunch of normies hijack the XRA fanbase
Andrew Campbell
Second season was p good imo, they just cranked up the voice acting to maximum overdrive and shifted the humor a bit. I still prefer season one though because they actually kept his personality somewhat consistent.
Luis Hernandez
this image scares me
Isaac Williams
I'm Sorry, I had a terrible ear infection yesterday so I just wanted to lay down
David Kelly
>I think I might be evil >Worse, you're smart. Yeah, I think you're right user.
Nolan Fisher
It's like they don't even try.
Ian Watson
Came to post this.
Nathaniel White
>Enjoy as a whole (even blazed)
Ah, typical. Of course a low IQ druggie cannot understand what makes Xavier so great. Go back to watching your watered down and mainstream Rick and Morty. Leave the greats to be enjoyed by the greats.
Asher Lee
The Ricky & Morty memes are so popular on reddit and twitter by this point that I'm pretty sure Sup Forums and Sup Forums will go back around to liking it again by next year so they can remain counterculture
Mason Miller
This image might be the only good thing to come out of Sup Forums in years
Ian Ortiz
>blaming the memes and not the first user to make the comparison in an attempt to troll R&M fans
You Xavier fans are getting what you deserve.
Grayson Johnson
R&M: St-st-stuttering and b-b-b-b*BRRRUUUP*urping is funny!
XRA: Echoing specific words is funny words words words words
Sebastian Wright
R&M: Poop jokes, sarcasm, and endless cynicism is funny!!!
XRA: Paradoxes, contradictions, cognitive dissonance, and rapid-fire word play is funny
Xavier Gutierrez
Who started the chad Xavier and virgin rick meme anyway?
Hudson Edwards
R&M: Shitting on pop culture tropes and even specific movies is funny!!! In fact, this show couldn't exist if it wasn't propped up by dozens of movies and shows that came before it!
XRA: Shitting on various types of peoples and ideologies is funny. In fact, this show almost never references pop culture, and when it does it's so subtle you hardly notice it.
Daniel Reyes
R&M: takes a very liberal stance on political issues
XRA: Makes fun of people across all spectrums, takes no clear stance on anything
Landon Parker
R&M: Over the top, edgy gore that adds nothing
XRA: Nonchalant violence, has an episode about eating babies that doesn't feel forced or edgy
Julian Perez
R&M: Thinks it's the greatest thing since sliced bread
XRA: Literally calls itself the peak of disappointment
Mason Jackson
who cares? we all know which is the best AS show anyway.
Chase Taylor
R&M: Interdimensional Cable: A concept that the writers could do literally anything with but they choose to make garbage episodes consisting of nothing but half baked ideas.
XRA: Damneisia Vu: A brilliant episode that excellently encapsulates the shows since of humor and story telling into short skits that loop back around into one another.
Levi Hall
The only time I can remember XRA making a direct pop culture joke is when Xavier unfreezes the cyogenically frozen people and says "All of your life are belong to me"
Samuel Peterson
The normie redditors that now make up 75% of Sup Forums users.
Jackson Scott
Just stop. I like XRA but spergs like you are the reason why this fanbase has gone to shit.
Jaxon Carter
Is god real?
Rick: *BRUUUUP* GOD ISN'T REAL!!! WUBBA LUBBA DUD DUB!!!!!11!!
Xavier: That's a complicated question. It depends what you mean by "god". I believe the fact that we are here implies, to some degree, that there are forces out there greater than us.
Aaron Reed
I don't know what you're talking about. Xavier has no fanbase.
Jace Richardson
>fanbase has gone to shit There kind of has to be a fanbase in the first place
Matthew Perez
>Xavier has no fanbase >there is an entire episode made of fanmade shorts
Liam Brown
Shorts made when the show was still airing see When was the last time you saw an XRA t-shirt, bumper sticker, poster, plushie, keychain, figurine, etc?
All I'm saying is XRA has never had half the number of fans any other show you associate with the term "fanbase" currently does.
Asher Carter
I'll admit that the recent influx of bandwagoners caused by the VirginChad meme is concerning, but it'll go away.
Last time I checked, this was a thread about comparing R&M to XRA. I was doing just that.
Sorry if I hurt your feelings?
Camden Richardson
The thought the whole point of the virginxchad meme was to make people feel insecure because the virgin shows a bunch of realistic shy behaviors while the Chad is completely ridiculous. Why we're people using it to say one show is better than another?
Xavier Watson
Merchandise does not equal fanbase you dumb nigger. And yes, XRA does have a very active fanbase, just look at tumblr and plebbit.
Gavin Brown
>browes tumblr and reddit >calls it plebbit in an effort to fit in >says dumb nigger in an effort to fit in
Maybe you should go back to tumblr and/or reddit?
Ayden Gutierrez
>3. You will not post any of the following outside of Sup Forums: Trolls, flames, racism, off-topic replies, uncalled for catchphrases, macro image replies, indecipherable text (example: "lol u tk him 2da bar|?"), anthropomorphic ("furry") or grotesque ("guro") images, post number GETs ("dubs"), or loli/shota pornography.
Parker Garcia
>go back to ____ meme >in an effort to fit in Don't be a hippocrisp user You were wrong on the internet, just get over it.
Owen Reed
The amount of merchandise available says a LOT about the amount of people who are willing to buy it. Marketing 101.
There are like 3 funko pops of pickle rick alone. If there's a fanbase for it, there's a team of people ready to make a quick buck off it.
Now, given all the attention the shows been getting lately, if an xavier funko pop is released, I'll eat shit.
>People jumping the gun and claiming this is so much better than Rick & Morty don't realize they're being just as shit as the OP
Angel Jenkins
It a good thing they didn't pick a show that people wanted to talk about, then.
Aiden King
but it is tho
Nolan Stewart
...
Andrew Moore
By creating and adhering to that stupid dicotomy you're a shithead, regardless of which side you're on.
Thomas Wood
I like both shows, but they are absolutely nothing alike. This "Xavier is the patrician RnM" shit is like saying "voltron is the patrician rainbow bright". They have their medium and genre in common and nothing else.
