So we can all agree (besides WITCHfag) that this show is just a mediocre pseudo-anime, right?

So we can all agree (besides WITCHfag) that this show is just a mediocre pseudo-anime, right?

Comic > show
Fuck you witchfag

This

Nah it's fine, but goddammit, that autist is fucking annoying. Now I know how DPfags feel after the Tranny Phantom incident.

Why do people treat Anime -esque shows like it's a bad thing? It's just an art style and it looks better than the bland cal arts meme shows. If it leads to a better standard of quality why bash it?

How do we know he ain't more than one? Also witch thread

>One autist ruined discussion of this show all together

MEME

Maybe because they'll perceive it as a wanna-be anime?

I think the issue is that studios replicate the anime style and mix it with western animation techniques which just comes off as...off-putting, at least that's just what I think.

>WITCHfag
Wyatt has a name

>anime
>better standard of quality
Hmm

Should I ask?

I hate this show by proxy now

I mean stuff like, megas, teen titans 2k3 , avatar, look way better than Steven, Star, gumball , KO, all those guys that smile with 3 giant teeth

I want to know too.

Look up Randy Stair. That should answer your question

I mean about witchfag.

fag that shitposts about witch
whats so hard to understand

I was hoping there would be more to the story like Barneyfag or Dragonmaid user.

Even after all this years that redhead still looks so fucking fine.

>thread about show, and its stunning artstyle
>pic from comics, where they look like children
You're giving me a bad name, OP.

He shows up midway through this thread shouldn't be hard to spot. He's all about how the show is better than the comics, and how much he hates people who prefere the comics over the show because in his mind that's what go the show canceled

It's a damn shame since you can't get a good discussion of the show here now thanks to his autism.

you're giving yourself a bad name dipshit

>because in his mind that's what go the show canceled
As I explained in it's a major factor, but not the only reason.

How? By promoting the greatest cartoon of all time, that is sadly virtually unknown in most places because of external fuckups?

>The show received low ratings only because eltitist comics readers
that's a pretty long logic jump you made there.
It received low ratings because it was marketed and targeted at the same audience of Winx (6-9 year old girls), which was a bad decision to make, but you can't blame the comic fans for that.

Did you read the linked post, you dumbass? I addressed ALL of that, and many other reasons you are apparently too stupid to understand.

Just because it's on your chart, doesn't make it better.

>I think the issue is that studios replicate the anime style and mix it with western animation techniques which just comes off as...off-putting, at least that's just what I think.

That is definitely an issue. Like that show Lolirock, definitely supposed to look and feel like an anime but for some weird reason they give some of the characters those ugly lips that western artists are addicted to. Ruins the show.

Show?
Yes

Comic?
No
The comic series is great

For all the claims that they hate anime, Sup Forums sure spends an inordinate amount of time posting about how every show is anime. Anime this, anime that. If you don't like anime, shut the fuck up about it. Nobody wants to hear your bitching, especially not on Sup Forums of all places.

>children looking like children
How dreadful.

He also posts that chart about "Debate etiquette" but never follows it himself.

But they are NOT children, they are TEENAGERS
That is NOT my post.

>But they are NOT children, they are TEENAGERS

You seem overly quite concerned that a bunch of cartoon girls don't look more like teenagers.

The cartoon girls DO look like teens, it's the comics versions that do not.

But yes, I am concerned. Because making them look so young is creepy and disgusting.

>they're NOT that thing, they are A SUBSET OF THAT THING

Only in a very technical sense, which is not relevant to this discussion.

>I want to fap to them and I don't feel comfortable with their comic look.

2D porn is disgusting, user.

I just want to LOOK at cute waifus, that's it.

>checks wiki
>says girls are all 14
They're children, user.

>Only in a very technical sense, which is not relevant to this discussion.
Also watch the fucking show, don't read the wiki.

This is now a Totally Spies thread.

>"THEY'RE NOT CHILDREN"
>"proof that they're children isn't relevant to the discussion"
Okay

...

Buddy, a 17-year-old is also a child but if you're not an American you can generally fuck one. Hence your point is irrelevant.

Except canon states they're fourteen, which is low even for European countries.

Where are you from, W.I.T.C.H.user?

I went to the trouble of putting periods in the acronym, pls respond.

jesus christ is it still him? i thought it had to be another person, but for someone to go go THIS long...

Having witnessed some of the autism and fangirling that happens there, I'll take a shot and guess he's from that fanforum they use on witch-o-holic.

I can't be assed to check if it's still alive, but if it's not it would explain why he's chimping out here.
He could also have gotten banned there for excessive autism, and now he's taking refugee here.

Eh, not really. But regardless, they're 2D so they're for cute not lewd.

(Now I've seen a couple of girls who actually look almost exactly like Will - older of course - and it was all I could do to stop myself asking them out on the spot.)
Why would I reveal that?
There are NO forums for the show, I've searched far and wide. Barely anyone even knows it exists!

In fact, if you think I've missed one let me know right away. (I'll probably bother you guys much less then... well, maybe.)

"Reveal" like I can doxx you just from knowing which part of the world you're from, or that I would care that much

You're a prominent person on Sup Forums, for better or for worse, and I have a feeling you're not a native English speaker, so I'm just curious.

We might be anonymous but there's no reason to be paranoid.

Go to watermark. Look around. Fuck off forever.

>and I have a feeling you're not a native English speaker
I am, but I write really weird when I'm excited.
(Which for this show is just about all the time.)

That should narrow down the list of countries I might be from sufficiently, too.
Idiot, the only existing forum linked there is the comics-exclusive one, which isn't even active!

Y'know, I wasn't going to watch W.I.T.C.H. anyway because I can barely be arsed to sit through a tv show these days, but now I'm going to get into the comics just to spite this dude.

Classic, I'm wondering if these threads lead to anons getting into the comics lmao

user, the show is MUCH better. Please watch it!

Read the comics after if you want to know more.

The show is great honestly, I tried to get into the comics but couldn't.

It's a rare cartoon where I can do a second rewatch after a few years and not feel bored.

Wish we got some more episodes honestly, or at least some satisfying conclusion for the girls, but this is better than what most Weisman shows get.

Personally, while season 2 is deeper and better written in many respects, I liked season 1 for having a good mix of their school and hero lives. Season 2... not so much.

>isn't even active
Well duh, the series ended 2.5 years ago.
They've probably talked about everything there is to talk about by now.
The cartoon ended 11 years ago so it goes quadruply for that.
Seeing as it is a witch forum, I assumed they cared about the cartoon too.

>sit through 2 seasons of the adaptation when i could just speedread through the source material
Nah.

>The show is great honestly
:) - yeah, Sup Forums, but not much more I can say
>
Wish we got some more episodes honestly, or at least some satisfying conclusion for the girls, but this is better than what most Weisman shows get.
I think the ending of this show is amazing, and even more so given his other shows, yeah. We got an actual lengthy wrap-up montage in the finale! Which is something pretty rare in toons in general, so it's clear that it was already known the show was unlikely to continue.

I'm not particularly sure what you mean by a "satisfying conclusion" for the girls - the point is that their adventure continues from there, in both normal lives and their work as guardians. In that sense it was the most satisfying ending of just about any show I've ever seen, even with Sylla's introduction (which was also done very well).
>Personally, while season 2 is deeper and better written in many respects, I liked season 1 for having a good mix of their school and hero lives. Season 2... not so much.
I think you're confusing two different aspects. Season 2 had just about as much focus on their school lives, if not even more - they actually integrated key plot points into that, in some cases! What season 2 tripped up on a bit was the characterization, after a while it seemed like every other episode was a grab bag of which character would get a random flaw to resolve this week. Of course this was usually brought up more during the school scenes, so...

You might want to give it a wait and see if pic related manages get them all out.
They're trade sized, 4 chapters each, so they'd need ~40 issues which, looking at paperiniks too early demise, doesn't sound promising honestly.

You're saying that like you'd have to force yourself to watch them. You're supposed to ENJOY watching entertainment.

>:)
Fuck off.

Please see where I already mentioned I can't be arsed to sit through tv shows these days.

Come on man, it's justified in this case. Sometimes words can't get an emotion across, or at least not in the same way.
Well then you're just a lazy faggot, who due to his laziness misses out on the best cartoon in existence. Sad, really.

>Sometimes words can't get an emotion across
Which is why we use IMAGES for that, here on this IMAGE board.

Yeah but I get to read the comic it was based on, so...

The only image I could have put was... that very same emoticon. So yeah.
The comics and cartoon have the same basic story and characters but differ in numerous minor respects, that add up to make the cartoon MUCH better overall.

Nigga you're approaching his level of autism
Who the fuck cares about this shit
Ayyyy not in muh sekrit club no emotikons allowed we're super serial you guisee

Fucking faggot

Comics/books are better though.

NO
O

>The cartoon had far more interesting and believably developed characters, far deeper plots with less focus on slice-of-life bullshit, and most important of all far more internal consistency.

>very same
Bullshit, a happy face comes in endless variants.

>having standards is bad and i will now procede to chimp out like a nigger to illustrate my point
No.

Few shows manage to do it well, and the animated w.i.t.c.h. is not one of them.

People who like anime have a plethora of choices. They don't need to waste time on inferior alternatives.

You tried.

Arbitrary bullshit standards that don't exist anywhere else, sure.

Be the gatekeeper of an imaginary gate.

>jumping into a convo pretending to be someone else just to page10 bump
Youtried/10

Elitism/having standards is not a bad thing. It's what keeps the Penguin of Doom pasta from becoming everyday lingo here. It's the reason Sup Forums is not nearly as shit as Sup Forums.

inb4 html edited screenshot trying to disprove the greentext

W.I.T.C.H. is better than most animes in EVERY respect, idiot. Including that one.
If you're saying he's me... well, he's not. Deal with it.

Decided to watch the first two episodes at work on my phone. I liked it enough to want to watch the rest of the show.

>W.I.T.C.H. is better than most animes in every respect

That's what I said, yes.
:D

are you retarded? Fance and Italy both have a long history of airing dubbed magical girl anime and it influenced the sensibilities of the generation that grew up to work on shows like WITCH. There's obvious anime influence but it's second hand, the writing and art and design and all other creative sensibilities are a synthesis of italian media trends, only a part of which happens to include a specific genre within anime. Or are you one of those autists who also whines that classic spaghetti western directors are a bunch of weeaboos because for some reason you're just fixated on whining about japan existing in everything?

>the greatest cartoon of all time
That's so much of a stretch even Reed Richards would call it impossible

Saving that line.

Plastic Man would beg to differ.

I'm starting to think this guy is a false-flagger trying to make it so you can't have a quality discussion about WITCH now.

I'm suspicious these witch threads are just a ploy to get drawfags to make new art

Possible, then we just have to shitpost back harder until the tard fucks off

You don't have the right to call other people sad.

Just ignore it. Whatever it is, it doesn't deserve our (You)s or any kind of acknowledgement of its existence.

Wouldn't bother me. I wanted to see the WITCHes' mums in their daughters' slutty costumes.

Witchbitch I just got two words for ya

Suck it

It was good, but certainly not nearly as great as a certain individual makes it out to be. The second season had a much more engaging villain and some pretty good stake raising moments, but the plot-heavy nature made it that missing a few episodes could throw you out of whack. While that might be a problem for most people, networks sadly hate that shit because they want programs they can make a bazillion episodes of and air in any order.
